    The only thing I would do extra is to weld an old welding chipping hammer handle ( the type with a spring looking coil to avoid a hot handle) between the two tubes to work as a carry handle.

    Flame is mostly orange and yellow, not hot enough to burn enough secondary smoke efficiently/safely for an enclosed area. You should open you garage door for safety from the smoke. Nice design though. The chimney could probably use a skirt around it to heat the secondary air to get the temp of the flames up.

      MrJoeyBoombotz oh thanks for your comment. I will change something in the next. Thx for the information.

      What could be done to burn the secondary smoke?

    I have built a similar rocket stove, but the flame comes out from both the burning tube and the stick-input tube. It seems to me that the stick- input tube is messing the chimney effect since they are about the same height, possibly with same draft. But your rocket stove is perfect, why?

      You can try to cover the stick-Input half the diameter. Perhaps by using a flap or so... Hope it works ;-)

    Do the holes on the side of the tube help with the help with fire efficiency??

      No, not really - but I can see the flames level ... and it looks nice - I think ;-)

    why are there 6mm holes in your flu or riser that inhibits heat

      when the flame reach the flue,oxygen has been burn out,it's the secondary air-intake to boost combustion.

    Thanks for the video. It's an interesting design but you have to tip it all out to remove the ash and re light it. The grate seems to have value only when the corner is not full of ash.

      Thanks for your comment! It was my first try with a rocket stove. I ´ve testet the stove not so much. It burns 1 hour without clog the air-channel. I mean it´s long enough for cooking. To remove the ash I use a special tool. I should show this in one of the next videos. Again : Thanks for your interest!

      woodgasfire could you simply hinge the square endplate to let the ash out?

    • @woodgasfire4422
      @woodgasfire4422  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes of course - I had the same Idea, but I was too lazy to mount a hinge. And I don´t want any moving part at this stove. But thank you for your interest. New stove with new ideas - coming soon...

      You could also just make the bottom plate slide out.
