I agree with you - half the fun is finding a collection of something you're interested in. Profit is nice but going through the collection and seeing stuff you never picked up before is exciting!

This one was so fun. I totally understand when you can acquire a huge collection of something that you can do something with. I know nothing about hats, but my husband knows everything about pro bikes (for instance) He bought a De Rosa bicycle at a thrift store for $15. He serviced and re-greased everything, new chain, and sold it CHEAP for $650.00 at a Bicycle Swap Meet. The buyer was a bike shop owner who now has it as a wall-hanger in his shop. It was vintage and beautiful. Talk about a quick turnaround on the $$, but it's worth way more than $650, so the bike shop owner got a great deal and we made some quick money that we desperately needed at the time.
WOW, that's a lot of hats ! Spend a bit of time with a vacuum with a brush attachment, to clean them up, and they'll look great. Put an even bigger smile on your face when you sell the last one :-) Good luck with them and KEEP LIVING THE DREAM Taco. Take care and be safe :-)

Snapback caps really are a thing now! Good pick up. I sold a bunch at a Seattle estate sale last spring and was surprised how many people want them now

GREAT SCORE!! Several years back I stopped at a yard sale, just as they were packing up and picked at a few vintage hats, and the guy offer to let me a huge box 2' x 4' tall. I total him i didn't want that may caps. He sold them to for $5.00!! I sold them on eBay for 1000s dollars and that was after having to throw some out. There were several sports hats, but most were all kinds of things. GOOD LUCK with your hat!!!
