My brother bought my mom a Pioneer record player with 2 huge speakers many Many years ago. Yes ~ Pioneer was the brand to have. My mom thought she was up town. 😂👍👍👍 Great find!!!

I got evicted unfairly, in a family situation.Fortunately I met a friend, who offered me a room to rent in her home, but I had all my belongings in one of these stores. The problem was I couldn't find another job, my savings ran out as a result, and I lost everything I had PAID to store! The storage company only was concerned with money they could get by selling my important things - and like happens to people - I lost irreplaceable photos. The company wouldn't even let me have examination certificates that may have helped with getting a job. Your company sounds NORMAL and more sympathetic and HUMANE. What I just can't understand is how people can be so DIFFERENT on this planet, towards others!
As a storage facility owner/operator for 37 years, I also feel badly for the people who have to be sold out. Of the hundreds of sales, few have netted anything more than a trip to the dump. The pictures, etc. are always saved. No one ever comes to claim them. The problem is that they couldn't be found in the first place or their things would not have been sold. Due to whatever their personal situation in life is at the time, they lost the desire to own the items inside the unit. I work very hard to see that anyone who wants their goods is not sold out, but the truth is "when they are no longer in love with their stuff, it must go."

Whatever side of the argument you find yourself on - “It’s just business, and if you don’t pay, you lose your property,” or “it’s cruel to pick over someone’s property,” what I found was it’s such a relief to stop using these storage units. There is an Apache Braves rugby team. And bed bugs live about 18 months with no blood to keep them alive. So, if your locker has been packed and left more than 18 months you can not worry so much about them getting on your stuff. There’s a lot of sellable merchandise in this locker. Good score.
It has been 40 years since I scrounged and sold stuff at a flea market. Prices have not changed during that time. Last year, when I was supposed to have died from cancer, I gave everything I had, except my IPad and Swedish flag, to my roommate and moved into a hospice. The things I cherished ended up in the garbage, so I heard. When I had to leave hospice because I didn’t die, I was given some clothes prior residents (who died) had left behind. The cancer is back, but I won’t go back to hospice until I have hours to live.
One more thing, the Montana Silversmiths is a very high end jeweler. And the trunk like piece you opened at the end is probably a reproduction piece of furniture from Mexico. It will say Hecho en Mexico on the bottom. Living in Texas, I see a lot of this type of furniture, it’s really sturdy, typically made of mesquite wood and heavy. The iron pieces are made to look old and rustic. Based on the sombrero and other things in the locker, that would make sense.
I don't know that I'd call Montana Silversmiths high end, most of their stuff is plated. You're dead on about the Mexican made furniture; I used to get down there quite a bit, I'm Texan too.
Hey 🌮 Stacks guy. I know this comment is coming late but can i tell you something? I have this time saving tip I use which can be applied to many things. When moving stuff the least amount of times you touch it the better. Basically for small stuff instead of picking it up and move it to another spot 5 feet away, just pick it up once and move it to you destination, ie box, bin van, truck etc. Save yourself some time this way. I enjoy watching your videos and so thought I would share this with you. You made quite a profit with this unit!! So cool!!!
I have suggestion if you plan on doing more videos like this. Get a camera that you can wear on you head so you have both hands free and the POV is what you are looking at.
After reading all of the comments... I say, Well Done! You took a chance with 10 bucks. Some physical work involved. A few days of research. You are the winner A great unit.
Oh my goodness! Those magazines are probably worth money and that's why they were in there. I have no idea why you were just throwing them around. I dont think you have any clue what you truly have when you come across things. Go easy on things and take it to get it appraised. Not that hard.
If they were 2001 World Series, that's the year the Diamondbacks won the world series. I got to see Tony Womack hit that grand slam homer on the cover of that mag he showed and I gasped. It was 2 weeks after his father passed and he pointed to ol' Dad. AND it was on Father's Day and I went with my father. I'd pay $10 for just that magazine. To give to my Dad on Father's Day this next time. He's 83.
If there is bed bugs in those mattresses then they are now in your van. Always respect everything you pull from a storage. It was loved by someone and the loss of their things, for whatever reason, is a sad time for them. Respect.
Asher22 ! Yes, but if he’s going to do this even if only for a hobby, it would pay him to do some research into his finds. Otherwise, as many other people here have pointed out, he’s only going to do himself out of what could possibly be a lot of money. From what I gather, it appears that in this field the right brand name and the condition of an item are very important in establishing the value.
You NEVER KNOW what you'll FIND! I've lost a few boxes & it's not fun bc things that may mean something to me, may not to you! Someone who loves baseball is going to be stoked! Congrats on the locker!! $10? Crazy! 🤪 that would keep me busy on eBay for months! Stay safe and be well.
You could wash clothes, blankets etc. and put them in a hot dryer, which will kill bed bugs. You can skip the wash and put them in a dryer if they are clean.
Mike Miller they’re not kayaking paddles either tbh. Those are raft paddles. Kayak paddles are double sided, while raft paddles are single sided and often have the barriers on the pole to be put into a slot so they don’t fall off the boat.
I'd happily pass up on potential money to not cut into a mattress that's been collecting semen and other bodily fluids for who knows how many years. In fact, I'd probably have a real job and just do this kind of shit on the side.
If you ever do this and find a file cabinet with paperwork, go through EVERYTHING and this is why: some time ago, my ex-husband and I started a road service, and we needed a place to store the inventory of tires. We rented a small bay from Dusa Warehouses. We were expanding, and the owners offered us the bay next door, but we declined. There was an old metal filing cabinet in it and we didn't think anything of it. When you rent the bay, anything in it is yours. Someone else rented that bay, which had been rented by Harris (lots of government contracts) a long time ago. The person was curious and began going thru the ancient files. They found three Bearer Bonds. Bearer Bonds, as you may know, belong to whomever is holding them. There is no name on them. It's just like finding cash. These Bearer Bonds were valued at over $1 million. The finder cashed them in. All perfectly legal.
That was an amazing locker for $10.00, it looks like a lot more money there then what you're estimating you will get to me! I know area has a lot to do with how much you can make. Good job loved this video!
I bought a 15 X 7 unit for $ 90 bucks 2 years ago. I found a coin collection in it and sold the coins separately for a total of $24,600 . It also had a jewelry box containing another $4200 in Gold & Diamond rings etc. Not too bad for a hour drive and $90
@Melanie Mayo its possible man. I bought a hi fi system from a stereo head that also buys these lockers. He had a fucking super bowl ring and a pro bowl jersey.
I got an area rug in a unit i bought, i sold it for 40$, good score on the jersey! oh and balls! dvds and that trunk looks like real good wood, you might get over 100-200 for it! great score.
I use too buy lockers... I was living at the beach... lockers were everywhere... people come and go at the beach like mosquitoes ... one locker had the entire cooking equipment for a pizza restaurant .
I kept reading through the comments, and noticed lots of people feeling sad for the original owner of the contents inside. Not one person mentioned the fact that we all have a big pile of stuff & junk that we see as treasures. We pay to store it...move it around as our lives change, and think we could never live without these treasures. As well, we are all mere mortals...meaning, we all gonna die, & none of that stuff is riding along where we're going. Lots of people simply die, & the families don't know about the stored stuff.
Great locker but I think you need to do a little more homework when it comes to the value of things. You could be screwing yourself outta big money. And omg I was OBSESSED with POGS!!
I agree with you about this guy underestimating the value of this stuff. I go to auctions all the time and have gone to quite a few storage locker auctions. The fishing tackle box with lures and all... he said maybe $20, I was like this guy is way off on that value. Now for the cellphones, I buy boxes of cellphones all the time and I do it for 2 reasons. 1: they sell on Ebay - 2: what wont sell on Ebay, Verizon will buy them more or less for around $10 each. They will buy most cellphones because of the gold that is used for electronic parts inside the phone. The Pioneer speakers he came across, he said he knew nothing about music and would probably donate the speakers.... really? Depending on the model number,he could be looking at around $100 or so. One time I paid $1 for a set of Pioneer car speakers and the foam was rotted out. I put it on Ebay and sold them for $100.... what I didnt realize at the time, the speakers were vintage and valuable and they sell foam kits for them and people will pay good price for them. Hopefully this guy looks up the value of all those items before selling them, otherwise he will be screwing himself out of money. Ebay would be the first choice before selling at a flea market. The flea market is where most people go to find cheap stuff so they can sell them on Ebay....
Why is everybody busting on the guy for not being well versed in the value of things? Obviously he's young and just starting. Every doctor that's out there doesn't start his schooling knowing how to do open heart surgery! The only way to be come good at what you do is to do it and learn along the way. My mom was into Antiques and eventually had a shop. What she didn't know in the early days she researched, and by the time she died years later she could have been an appraiser. Knowledge comes with experience
And you and the OP are morons for thinking that. Even me at his age knew the value of items. This guy was carelessly throwing things around. My jaw dropped when he put those wii games on the concrete like that and even more so when he opened them and moved them on the concrete. it devalued them that instant. then he took the wii controllers and thrown them in the box... possibly damaging them.. he did a hole lot wrong with everything he grabbed and throw around... SO please dont make up excuses for idiots
That 'casket' looks like an old tack box, and it's very old. Great iron work, looks hand-forged. Primitive collectors would use it for a coffee table, retail would be about $300 in our area. And those hand-made lures are worth a pretty penny on eBay. Like the earlier comments said, "Don't sell yourself short." It is great fun watching you learn and grow as a young dealer.
Def can get 300 for the tack box and I agree, it's a tack box. Nice patina on it. Just needs some industrial casters on to make the perfect coffee table especially for a small house. Look at all the storage!
He definitely made out! As a sports athlete and fan. Having signed baseballs, a Portis college practice jersey, a Brees, and a Anquan Boldin Super Bowl replica? Damn..All that plus more for only 10 bucks. Great investment indeed!
I'm dying watching you go through this storage locker.... I don't think half the time you know what you have... Some of the stuff you found is worth three times what you said. I've just watched a couple of your video's and I was like "for real" you need someone to help you decide the price of things... the bed rails sell anywhere from $40 to $80 if not more, you can make good money on those. You have a lot of money there. Wish I was there, boy!!
I love how he gets so excited for old fishing gear and acts like whatever on all the baseball memorabilia....he really doesn’t know what he has in there
The garbage he has is only worth what some moron will pay for it. Saying it is worth 3x what he claims is not valid. This is all garbage and always will be.
Dude that knife is probably worth a couple hundred. I and my ex husband collect those. Pioneer speakers are a really great brand. WOA the Guess watch is worth a couple hundred dollars. You really need to get that jewelery checked out. This person was a serious collector.
7 second ebay search puts the guess watch at $60-$90 brand new. Isn't that the kind of brand you find at Walmart? Knife could vary wildly in value, guy was terrified of it so we couldn't get any info other than "omg itz scarie".
Plano Tackle Box is a good brand, Pioneer speakers used to be pretty good that big chest would make a great Coffee Table, I think you have made your $10 back many times over
Even as a youngster I know a whole lot of that stuff was worth a good amount. It brakes my heart to see it being so careless handled when it was obviously well packed and taken care of.
Hope you had a couple of years to grow up at this point. The UNIT WAS ABANDONED, not sure how much more careless one can get than that?! Taco is cleaning out and rescuing, what otherwise would be trashed. THAT is the truth. He does a good job handling items.
Jbl,electro voice, Peavey, etc as a sound engineer with a family business, we havent used those speakers before. Seen some of there smaller speakers. Just wanted to say as a member of the audio industry I don't know much about em
There could be $1-2k or more in sports memorabilia alone. You have hopefully figured out by now that those are antique ocean fishing lures and to the right market some may be quite collectible. Some of the old original gumball machine miniature football helmets of defunct teams can also be of value and I noticed an Houston Oilers helmet among them. The smallest Lego kits new and complete sell for a minimum of $45 each, that means used open would be $10-15 @ the flea market, not $5. I agree with a previous commenter, you could stand to have a non-millenial looking over your shoulder to keep you from losing your butt on some of this stuff; however, you seem smart enough to know to use the web to identity all you can. I think this was really a pretty good score for you and I hope you made out well.
Jozzo Rama then to make things worse is to see him mix that bed with bed bugs with the rest of the stuff! I would had thrown that out then come back for rest.
I got all Pioneer , Bluray , Kuro 50 " Plasma , cd-player , amp.. i guess the big japanese brand is unknown for todays kids. He reminds me of a wannabe storage war-client. XD
I'm an ignorant foreigner located across the pond: When you buy a storage locker what exactly are you buying - simply contents or contents plus locker? Presumably you are only allowed to buy on the understanding that you fully clear it within a set period if you don't buy the locker itself?
Yes!!! Everyone seems to have an abundance of sarcasm these days!! All know it alls in someone else's life and endeavors. Help him by comments that are constructive and good suggestions.
I agree with what Rick wrote. It is shame to wonder what happened to the people that put their life possession in a storage unit. I mean people rent places to store their "stuff" but when it comes to ward robes and things you have to wonder. The land lords or whatever have the information for the tenants and I do wonder if any effort is put in to return items.
Not that I could tell but I found a box like that full of the same fishing stuff but those lures all had newer meijers stickers on them, like $2.99 & prices like that. Thought I had $500 worth the stuff, bummer....
i know right, at first he said he wasnt going to keep it because it looks like bed bugs are on it, then he puts it in the truck with the keeper stuff.😱

The things I cherished ended up in the garbage, so I heard. When I had to leave hospice because I didn’t die, I was given some clothes prior residents (who died) had left behind. The cancer is back, but I won’t go back to hospice until I have hours to live.

I hope you're saved and have asked Jesus to come into your heart I believe that he died for the sins of the world that we may live
You Rock Taco Stacks !!😊👍🏻
That was the best locker I've seen!!! AWESOME
I always wonder if the people who owned the lockers ever see their stuff on TV on shows like Storage Wars.
The furniture to on the left (26:07) is antique and made from rough cut lumber, which was mainly old growth. Very valuable lumber and furniture
So cool!!!
Thanks for sharing your experience of that particular locker.
I have suggestion if you plan on doing more videos like this. Get a camera that you can wear on you head so you have both hands free and the POV is what you are looking at.
I kept thinking of this, too. And easy to put on & take off -- or use a second camera for other shots.
I bet he'd accept one as a gift!
I know that sh*t was bothering me!!
Excellent tip... hope he takes your advice.
couldn't agree more with you.
Great success that sombraro will sell easy for 50 or more on ebay!
Dude them fishing lures are worth a lot of money especially the ones that said homemade
Yeah, I'll take it off his hands for five bucks! LOL Deal of the century!
That boat is not a bad find, I've had a lot of fun with one like that as a kid. Nice finds, the boxes alone are pretty cool.
TrashureSeeker the oars probably goes with that too.
Goes good with the tire pump. I mean boat inflator.
After reading all of the comments... I say, Well Done! You took a chance with 10 bucks. Some physical work involved. A few days of research. You are the winner A great unit.
Lol. Your profile pic looks like you're 90 years old
@@Harrisonmego so what if she's 90 years old?
Oh my goodness! Those magazines are probably worth money and that's why they were in there. I have no idea why you were just throwing them around. I dont think you have any clue what you truly have when you come across things. Go easy on things and take it to get it appraised. Not that hard.
I was thinking the same! Those seemed to be from the 80s, maybe 70s Sports Illustrated and this yahoo ripped a cover off!!
He's 83.
You're absolutely right. I don't think he has any idea on those stuffs. He better have it appraised..
@@gmamah9559 That would be cool.
yeah i noticed that too. he was just throwing things around that could be collector's item XD
You got a lot to learn.. the scrap metal was a bed frame, and the wood was bed slats. And I still got alot of this video to watch!
You got some collector's items that are worth real money, especially those fishing lures and those pocket knives.
Most definitely do some research on those hand made fishing lures. They can be very valuable.
Old wood fishing lores can be very valuable
If there is bed bugs in those mattresses then they are now in your van. Always respect everything you pull from a storage. It was loved by someone and the loss of their things, for whatever reason, is a sad time for them. Respect.
Wow you better save that rare green bubble wrap. Never know when your going to have to ship something
Smartass :)
It's Envirobubble. Made by the same people that made the insulation.
The silver stuff you called Bubble Wrap is actually for insulating windows.
And shipping food or medication
free American well he didn’t know so back off
Take your time with the handmade lures, research!
You NEVER KNOW what you'll FIND! I've lost a few boxes &
it's not fun bc things that may mean something to me, may not to you! I had a unit in LV with ALL my crafting supplies, which was a business I had to end bc it was just too much to replace everything! Had other things too, but that's mainly what I wanted! Any info, please contact me at mhealy0103@gmail.com! WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!
Also had a small house in West Hampton Beach! Lots of craft supplies, showcases, display units, China/jewelry ĺ cabinet & more. Any info, email to mhealy0103@gmail.com.
Someone who loves baseball is going to be stoked! Congrats on the locker!! $10? Crazy! 🤪 that would keep me busy on eBay for months! Stay safe and be well.
Back in the day,Pioneer were top-notch.👍👍 Nice snag,TS.😎👍

You said two words that chill me to the bone - always remember them - BED BUGS!!!
You could wash clothes, blankets etc. and put them in a hot dryer, which will kill bed bugs. You can skip the wash and put them in a dryer if they are clean.
Margo Sparkle ew seriously? Skip a wash? I dont know about you but I'm washing anything I'm not sure about
OK bring them to your house
I’m not a fisherman, but even I know those lures are worth something Dude get some knowledge.
This guy is a dorkPrecious moments when you lose or you Dixie Chicks ICDYou have two CDs
I am a fisherman and it’s worth about 25-30 dollars
I have never ever fished in my life and I even know that based on the amount of them they cost more than 10 dollars
Mike Miller they’re not kayaking paddles either tbh. Those are raft paddles. Kayak paddles are double sided, while raft paddles are single sided and often have the barriers on the pole to be put into a slot so they don’t fall off the boat.
Yeah i seen a couple worth around 40 bucks
Hey next time you get mattress You should consider cutting them open You never know if anyone stuff something in there
I'd happily pass up on potential money to not cut into a mattress that's been collecting semen and other bodily fluids for who knows how many years. In fact, I'd probably have a real job and just do this kind of shit on the side.
What is something gonna jump out and grab you?
If it isn't already cut then there's no chance of anything being in it
As weird as that is, its very true

Bro that’s sick
Wow I do believe that, that was my long lost uncle that you are talking about I'm gonna hit him up for some money 🤷♂️😁😁😁🤣🤣🤣
OK
WOW!
And you found this out and decided to share so we realize how smart you are!
Yep , Pioneer was a top selling brand in the 80s ..probably worth a few bucks. ..and some of those old handmade fishing lures can be big money
TheRinkboss vintage music equipment is pretty sought after lately. Don’t know anything about those speakers specifically.
That was an amazing locker for $10.00, it looks like a lot more money there then what you're estimating you will get to me! I know area has a lot to do with how much you can make. Good job loved this video!
Llll)llllllllll
I bought a 15 X 7 unit for $ 90 bucks 2 years ago. I found a coin collection in it and sold the coins separately for a total of $24,600 . It also had a jewelry box containing another $4200 in Gold & Diamond rings etc. Not too bad for a hour drive and $90
Whoa congrats !!
@Melanie Mayo its possible man. I bought a hi fi system from a stereo head that also buys these lockers. He had a fucking super bowl ring and a pro bowl jersey.
What
Bs to persuade ppl to buy lockers.
@@jessicabrown5914 you can think anyway you wish but the truth doesn't change irregardless of what your negative opinion may be .
I like videos of storage units that you have bought. this one had some great items in it. Keep'em coming, Taco Stacks!!
Always good to have things looked at and appraised
Some vintage fishing lures go for big big bucks
Is it bad that I wait for these videos each day now 🙈 x
Lol
I got the same problem and also have been thrifting more 😁
Get rid of that thing off my screen please. Toni Johnson n.
Nope! I look for these videos everyday.
No
Great locker but I think you need to do a little more homework when it comes to the value of things. You could be screwing yourself outta big money. And omg I was OBSESSED with POGS!!
yes, I think he way under valued the Stuff. He said $400 or $500. I think it's closer to $700 or $800
@@richbrake9910 Possibly even more but yeah he completely screwing himself out of moolah.
The flea market is where most people go to find cheap stuff so they can sell them on Ebay....
wow. good to know.
.
Keep the collective stuffs man. Thats awesome.
Michael H. Lauro II
but a doctor starting schooling isn't posting youtube videos of himself trying to be famous when he is just learning....????
@@jessicalauvertravels and this guy isn't a doctor...
Yea good point the kids all by himself .... can be very depressing... so good for him.... he’ll be wealthy one day with his work ethic.
I love the joke about the oars kayak row boat or ship I had to laugh at that joke awesome buy with all the finds so so Kool
i'd sell the blowup boat w/the oars as one unit, can get more than $5 for the oars.
CRUISE SHIP! haha
Could be a cedar chest. Pretty big to be of much use. Unless you have a huge house.
Def can get 300 for the tack box and I agree, it's a tack box. Nice patina on it. Just needs some industrial casters on to make the perfect coffee table especially for a small house. Look at all the storage!
It is a Cedar Chest my family has one just like it
I was thinking a table in the living room, with blanket storage for those cold winter nights...
I THOUGHT IT WAS A BEAUTY & THOUGHT OF COFFEE TABLE STRAIGHT AWAY ...
He definitely made out! As a sports athlete and fan. Having signed baseballs, a Portis college practice jersey, a Brees, and a Anquan Boldin Super Bowl replica? Damn..All that plus more for only 10 bucks. Great investment indeed!
Amazing what one can find in these old storage units!
NOT "A LOT" ON THIS ONE AT ALL!
Maybe you should put a go pro on your head, it'd be easier. Like if you agree.

I agree
Then stop watching! Easy solution!!

Pioneer speakers are to die for, if they aren’t rotten inside. Good find.
Robert Giese CC whining bye-bye blood cd
I cut up the bed fabric and scrap the springs, it’s good for when you live in an area that charges to much to dispose them
That’s a hell of a score for $10!
I love how he gets so excited for old fishing gear and acts like whatever on all the baseball memorabilia....he really doesn’t know what he has in there
got bed rails $7 other day
I agree. Seen him pass on stuff by the road that was really something good en take stuff that nobody would want.
The old lures ya need to look at more some can sell for big $$
The garbage he has is only worth what some moron will pay for it. Saying it is worth 3x what he claims is not valid. This is all garbage and always will be.
Dude that knife is probably worth a couple hundred. I and my ex husband collect those. Pioneer speakers are a really great brand. WOA the Guess watch is worth a couple hundred dollars. You really need to get that jewelery checked out. This person was a serious collector.
Are you serious? I have a bridge for sale...in case you or your ex husband are in the market...
Alex W Oh please please tell me how much it is? I mean you know so so much! *drips with sarcasm*
7 second ebay search puts the guess watch at $60-$90 brand new. Isn't that the kind of brand you find at Walmart? Knife could vary wildly in value, guy was terrified of it so we couldn't get any info other than "omg itz scarie".

Wow he scored good on that $10 locker :).

I think this was really a pretty good score for you and I hope you made out well.
not ALL those fishing lures were ocean fishing lures 😤😡..!!
Bassmangotdbluz I doubt he figured it out
Yeah, Cruise Ship oars. That's what they are. LOL Why throw a perfectly good Audio/Video cable in the scrap metal bin?

I wasn't talking about the copper for scrap, it looks like a good cable that can be used. Oh well.
Those cables aren't used as much anymore anyway

I agree with what Rick wrote. It is shame to wonder what happened to the people that put their life possession in a storage unit. I mean people rent places to store their "stuff" but when it comes to ward robes and things you have to wonder. The land lords or whatever have the information for the tenants and I do wonder if any effort is put in to return items.
The speakers are A1 TOP OF THE LINE.
The hand made fishing lures can be very good, look them up before you sell them
Yes, they are not only practical, but is like beautiful folk art to a fishing enthusiast and collector. : )
Not that I could tell but I found a box like that full of the same fishing stuff but those lures all had newer meijers stickers on them, like $2.99 & prices like that. Thought I had $500 worth the stuff, bummer....
