It has been going up. Looking at plants in this video makes me happy. I've never seen string of hearts in big box store where I live. That string of pearl is so gorg! I have one that I bought from online last yr which is only a 2 inch pot. It's definately flourishing, but still small. If I saw a one in a hanging backet in this video, I would've snatched it. Same for burros tail. Wow. Amazing.
This inspired me to drop by Home Depot for some essentials and I found a massive Alocasia Polly for 6.99 and an asparagus fern for 2.99! These days I hardly risk going anywhere, so it was great to have this video to show me what to expect there! Thanks Nicole, stay safe :)
Mother's Day is the biggest sale event for most nursery owners and they usually get tons of items in. Maybe your local Home Depots are stocking up plants now

wow you have a great home depot. My home depot doesn't take good care of the plants. Last time I went I only found one plant that was worth taking home. Most were in such bad shape. Broke my heart! ugh!
Wow, that was pretty awesome. I kill strings of most things. Only my string of hearts, most recent 2 string of pearls are alive. I keep killing string of pearls, string of bananas and string of dolphins. I was actually picking up curbside at a nursery last week and wanted to stop at home depot (would have been my first time since quarantine) but they literally had a line wrapped around the building. Maybe next payday I'll try to got when they first open.
I'm not surprised. When I went grocery shopping, a lot of stores divided the entrances and exits. They were trying to make the social distancing possible, which is good. Yea string of something could be picky. I use cactus soil for them and bottom water once a week and they seem to like this routine.

Two weeks ago I went to Home Depot and the houseplant sections here are nothing but a bunch of dying plants. They seem to be focusing only on outdoor plants now here.

Most nurseries stock up their plants (indoor and outdoor) around Mother's Day, so I would assume big box stores might do the same thing. I know some big box stores in your location suck but they might actually stock up now.
jujube2407 They may be coming soon! Most places stock up their plants for Mother’s Day, Memorial Day and July 4th. And after that, they usually slow down and take a break for the summer 😅

I cannot even get salad greens at any of the grocery stores near me... it's a food desert up here in albany ny area... I had to go 2 towns over to an all natural food co op to get a few...

You might have to wait until everything calms down. :( I'm in Kansas City (mid-west) and a lot of people have come back to work since last Monday and our COVID situation is kind of "under the control". I guess that explains why I could find those plants at HD.

When the Home Depot’s around me got this shipment in they were all infested with spider mites ☹️ Everyone in my Facebook plant groups were saying “omg they have string of hearts! String of dolphins!” And then a few days later they were all saying they had bugs

I haven't been inside of Home Depot since the pandemic started. The lines are ridiculous and I didn't want to wait that long. Now that I am seeing this, I may stand on that line and to see if the home depot up north has these plants. Dang pandemic is messing me up lol
Are you in any local facebook plant group? I usually ask the group first before I head to any store. I don't want you to risk going there and not being able to get anything. :(

Everyone in comment section desperately wants to visit home depot to get those plant but most of plant shown in this video i get from my neighbors and town people. here(small town in Nepal) mostly we don't buy plants ask each other so during the lockdown period i gathered peace lily,jade plant, spider plant, lucky bamboo, two kind of snake plant,aloe vera and some plant i dont know the name.
@@SunnySideUpwithNicole I have so many in my list, mostly Philodendrons. And I saw there are so many varieties of terracotta pots in this video which it's kinda hard to find in Malaysia. Even a terracotta pot saucer is so hard to find.
Really enjoyed your video shopping trip to Hone Depot. So sad because as a high risk senior with a life threatening chronic disease, I can’t go plant shopping anymore. I’m an avid gardener and have to order online not knowing what my plants will look like. Please do another shopping trip and show Tropicals like orchids, anthriums, bromeliads and heliconias.

niki cima I mean it’s a pretty simple mix up. In Arabic we have a few numbers that are really easy to mix up like ٧ ٨ which is 7 and 8 or ٢ ٦ which is 2 and 6. Her English is also amazing, it’s really not worth pointing out that simple mistake of mixing up 97 for 79. We all knew what she meant.
