I just love Brett's desperate face when Luke's answering the question. Luke is talking, talking, making some point and Brett is all like "Oh wow, he's being serious. Why am I not capable of doing that?"
I am REALLY glad that they didn't give any hints to Ward going bad. The effect his betrayal had without warning... I couldn't stop hysterically giggling for hours after that! :D Oh god, I just had a sad thought. If they defeat Hive this season, that means there's a chance we won't get Brett Dalton on any more seasons! :(
Rewatching season 1, there are actually plenty of hints right from the start... but they are the kind you only recognize after you've seen the rest of the show and know the truth about Ward's character.
It actually would've been pretty awesome if Lincoln got swayed instead of Daisy, and Lincoln would've fallen in love with Hive. Would've made for quite an interesting storyline.
I didn't mean "bromance" as much as romance. Hive is ages old (and essentially multiple people) and there's no reason to assume Lincoln couldn't be bi. And Daisy was all but in love with Hive. She adored him. Would've been interesting to see Lincoln in that position. But either way, yeah, I loved the finale, I thought the ending was great, especially since Hive and Lincoln hadn't had much screen time together before that (like the mentioned in this interview), and the way they still seemed to understand each other at the end.
I don't think Daisy "adored" him. None of the swayed inhumans did. More like, their brain were addicted to whatever Hive was doing. It has nothing to do with Hive's personalities or with gender, for that matter. But I agree, it would've been interesting to see Lincoln "fall in love" with Hive. I hated the finale! I mean, I get how beautiful that last scene was and how amazing Luke and Brett acted it but I just can't get over the fact that they killed Lincoln.
Sure it didn't have anything to do with gender, and it was all about Hive manipulating their brains on a chemical level, but it certainly made them adore him (at least at first, think back about those first conversations Daisy and Hive had). Even James/Hellfire was deeply impressed by Hive; he himself would never have used to word "adore", because he still retained his personality, but he did admit to May how great he thought Hive was. Of course, their head was being messed with, but that's what Joss Whedon does to his characters.
I don’t think they were really in love with Hive. His powers were an addiction for them, they wanted to be near him, obey him, protect him. Still, it would be interesting, I agree...
I feel like they just inserted Ward into new scenarios when a movie actor (like RDJ) stood them up on being involved with a guest appearance. Kind of like the nature of an unspoken agreement - like “Eh, no RDJ this season still? Lets sprinkle some Brett in there then.” He’s great though, couldn’t deal with many other actors reprising and morphing through so many roles season to season - he is great at his job. That Lincoln dude is good too, I just hate mushy stuff thats mushy just to be mushy and a lot of his stuff was like play doh it was so soapish (like soap opera appealing). He did great though, didn’t bug me and frankly kinda killed it despite the role having so much stuff revolve around Daisy. They could’ve given him more depth without involving the relationship as much until later, but nonetheless - dude was good.
Well Agents of Shield was a great show. If by "on going" you mean a role he plays for more than one season in another good show then Blindspot is a good example.
Brett's character , Grant Ward is the best in tv history of any characters.. he was amazing as Grant/Hydra Agent/Hive Brett is underrated * versatile actor.. not to mention he looks like ERIC WINTER, another amazing actor😊😊
I actually like all the casts in Agents of SHIELD. Well, except for Mack, that is. I'm sick of his bitching and holier than thou crap. I wish Trip would come back, and Yo-Yo could hook up with him, instead. I love Trip.
Brett seems like one of those guys that take jokes too far, or at least with people he hasn't earned an appropriate rapport with first. Most of the time it's because they're insecure about being boring or not funny, other times they're just somewhat of a douche to begin with.
Fuzzy Dunlop Have you just learned to read; or just used a computer for the first time? It would have to be one or the other when evidently the pool from which you are making this decision seems to be severely lacking, given the caliber of what is written on the internet. To be clear I'm not just making this judgement based on one video, I've seen a number of other interviews with Dalton. I'm not even saying he's a prick, he seems pretty cool most of the time, and obviously I don't know him. I'm just saying that his judgement seems to be a bit off when it comes to what's appropriate joke wise with people he doesn't know as a friend. People who aren't naturally funny can overcompensate at times and the aforementioned can be the result.
+Kevin McLaughlin Ya I can see why U have this opinion. I am a huge huge fan of Brett Dalton. Even I kind of thought the same thing while watching some interviews at first. But I analyzed it differently, I think that it just happens, its like sometimes you take a joke or a topic too far without realizing it, and U do realize it later on, but can't do anythng abut it but just move on with the conversation Also, actors have to put in that extra effort in answering the question, to make the interview more interesting without giving away any spoilers. So its a lot of things to think about while answering, which creates confusion & sometimes it becomes a little inappropriate when U try to be funny. So, in short, I don't know Brett personally, but I have seen many of his interviews, I follow him on social networking sites & I think he is a pretty cool person. He has maintained good relationships with his costars, he is hardworking, he is one of the finest actors on television & he is also very kind and polite with his fans. Much love and respect for Brett Dalton :)
Yay! Daisy's boyfriends. Reunion
I was about to comment the same thing but I am 4 yrs too late.
Now I just need agent Sousa and Robbie(sorry if I spelled Sousa wrong)
@@ccannon676 Ya spelled it right. I wish Robbie was on that list too.
I love Brett's sense of humour.
His feet stink !
felix121984 random 😂 have you even met the guy before
Get in Line! 😁
I just love Brett's desperate face when Luke's answering the question. Luke is talking, talking, making some point and Brett is all like "Oh wow, he's being serious. Why am I not capable of doing that?"
I love how Luke asks his own question😂 These two together are priceless
Well, at least they got to share a couple of scenes in the end! The, errr... the _very_ end. :(

There was actually a hint, that you will only notice after you've already seen evil Ward. Episode with Lorelie
Yes, but you could only ever recognize it WAS a hint AFTER you see Evil Ward! :D
chavamara true dat actually :))))
Rewatching season 1, there are actually plenty of hints right from the start... but they are the kind you only recognize after you've seen the rest of the show and know the truth about Ward's character.
I like those kinds of hints :)
the bromance between these guys 😂😆 seriously though they're really nice dudes 😀
Pun master Brett Dalton is back!
really wish they had left lincoln with luke's accent :)
Yeah. Aussie accent for the win!

Love Brett Dalton, he is an outstanding actor and so handsome.
You know that they had filmed the final episode given how awkward they looked around 9:45
I miss ward so much jfc COME BACK
Lincoln gives me a little feel of Barry Allen..

He looks like a mix of Grant Gustin and Stephen Amell
I love them soo much ....

OMFG Luke's accent. 0_0;;; Why wasn't THAT included in his character?!
Irony is that they died together
Love Brett Dalton.
Hail Hydra 💀🐙
I wish ward would come back he is the best character on the show
You're right!
smdownh9 no Fitz is
He's the best villain. Daisy's the best character.
All are. Even when he was evil in the end. I really wanted him to be the good guy. Fitz is the best for me

Luke Mitchell’s shirt is the highlight of this interview.
It actually would've been pretty awesome if Lincoln got swayed instead of Daisy, and Lincoln would've fallen in love with Hive. Would've made for quite an interesting storyline.
Oh that would've been a field day for bromance shippers. 😂
But then again, nothing matters cause of that finale 😧
