Thanks Herb - great video! Just an FYI to everyone - the normal Baiardo now comes with the movable mounting posts (same as the Baiardo L) and the Baiardo L 5 tooth clamps
After you suggestion, i had procured Wilson Baiardo L machine.. since one year no issues, most of the time i will use for badminton stringing. main disadvantage in this machine insider feeder clamp not given any support for string, after few months inside spring was broken. Here in my local Megsha Bhaskar sir (Bangalore, India) modified entire feeder clamp kudos to bhaskar sir... thank you Herb Baird for your support.
Had the Baiardo lite one year now. Agree with you, really good just wiggles a bit too much when tightening knots. String 50% badminton and it's just great for that. Greetings from Sweden to you Herb. I learned so many tricks from your videos . Thank you ! 👏🎾🏸
Hi Herb, I love watching the videos. 3 years back you said you count share info on where to buy strings, supplies, databases etc, can you share this info for us newcomers?
I would gently wedge the end of a rubber doorstop or something in the gap of the stand to stop the wiggle. Not that you should need to do that but it would stop the movement.
Hi sir. Tomorrow I’m going to pick up an used Wilson baiardo L machine I bought from a person I don’t know. He claims the machine has about 38,300 pulls and less than a 1 year of used. After some negotiation I brought the price down to 2.7k and I told him that I would bring a racket to do a quick demo on it. My question to you is: what things should I pay attention to when trying it out for myself?
Make sure the clamp bases slide easily. Check the clamps and make sure they do not have cracks. Make sure turn table spins freely. If you have a way to check the tension do a few test pulls.
@danielr.9516 can't really answer that for you. I think if I was going to pay the money to replace the clamps and rails, I would just sell the L and buy a full model. You probably have $4000 in the L going to cost $700-$800 for base amps and rails. For another $1200, you can have the full model.
@@HerbBaird At the moment, I own the old classic Baiardo with the 4-teeth clamps. I'm just thinking of upgrading to the 5-teeth clamps. Cost are around 400 Dollar. I'm not sure if they are worth the money compared to the old ones. 🙂
@danielr.9516 Everyone always asks about the base clamps, sorry. I have both old and new. I put the old clamps on the new machine. If your old clamps are still in good shape, I would stay with them. The new clamps are almost too light to release the base, and to me just feel flimsy. Might be worth buying a pair to put up while you can, but I will use the old ones until they fall apart.
Could not tell you. I have never had to have maintenance done on any of my Baiardo machines. My main machine has around 7000 on it and have never had a problem.

Not what the insider feeder clamp is

You are welcome
Great Videos, Thanks for the upload.
You're welcome
Haven’t had the rattler/wobble on my stand (yet) will keep an eye out though. Great follow up 👍
Thanks Herb!

@@HerbBaird I appreciate your feedback, I’ll definitely pay attention to those details tomorrow. Have an excellent night.
Thanks for the great update! So the rails are interchangeable?
The rails will fit either machine, but the base clamps are not. If you change rails you ha e to also change the base clamps
Hi Herb,
do you think it's worth upgrading the old Baiardo clamps to the new ones from the Baiardo L?

@@HerbBaird Thanks for your quick response, Herb 🙂
How many jobs can do in a L model before having to worry about maintenance from a professional?
Could not tell you. I have never had to have maintenance done on any of my Baiardo machines. My main machine has around 7000 on it and have never had a problem.
@@HerbBaird thanks for replying to all my questions
Hey herb will you teach me how to string a racquet I really want to know
Are you in Lubbock TX
Where can I get the Baiardo Classic rails from to fit my Baiardo L? I know I can get the base clamps from the Wilson website.
You might try tennis machines. www.tennismachines.com/. He may be able to get the bases also.
Great video but it's a bit silly to blame the machine for you not having it adjusted to the correct height for you.
