I think Snapdragon 870 is the sweet spot. Snapdragon 888 is 10-12% better but it comes at the expense of heat issues and a lot more cost.

The android tablet that the world is waiting for have finally arrive. All people want is not too much to begin with. Just a top tier snapdragon processor and 10 inch screen for less than 500 and it took over a decade for such a product to come out. Well its finally out now, better late than never and hopefully more companies will follow suit and made these devices become a norm in the market in a short period of time.

It's no comparison to the iPad, and the pen isn't as functional as the s pen on the galaxy... But as a lower cost alternative it works great, pressure sensitivity, palm protection, all on par with the Galaxy tab. 3rd party drawing apps work well, writing is fine.

This is a great review thanks. I have a couple of questions if possible.
    - Can you use a USB-C to HDMI adaptor to display content on a screen (if ever needed?) or would you have to use chromecast to do so?
    - Can you connect a mouse an keyboard to get some work done (even though it doesn't have a mode like Samsung DeX)?
    - Can you perform some simple video editing on 1080p (eventually 2.5k and 4k)? by simple video editing I mean 3-5 minutes clip of vacation videos --> totaly amateur style but very important

It's harder and harder to find Android tablet equivalent to iPad mini 😫... I mainly use tablet on the bed and 7-8 inch is the perfect size to me, because 10+ inch tab is too heavy... I want to upgrade this year and if there's really no Android tab came out to contest with mini 6. A simple tip for everyone: even though your resolution sometimes could be less than what your phone allows you to pick, the higher resolution will always look better since it will have more bitrate.
That's why you can clearly see the difference between 720p and 1080p in iPhones with resolutions lower to 1080p because of higher bitrate.

Lenovo can also be connected to a monitor or TV via a wire. Xiaomi don't.
Besides it has an OLED screen. This is a much more significant plus in favor of the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2021. In addition to being more energy efficient with a dark theme, much more higher contrast and deeper blacks, OLED has better responsiveness and fluidity. Very nice and in the current market of over expensive tablets at the higher end of the scale, reasonably priced in comparison.
But all the thought that went into it's specs is criminally let down by not including a USB-C port with video and data out.
I am not that surprised though because whenever I have contacted many of the phone and tablet manufacturers about having such a feature as a default across all ranges, they all come back with the same reasoning, that you can do it over WiFi, which is true but then they don't have an answer when latency and the ability to expand storage and versatility with an external dock are mentioned as bonus's.
If just one manufacturer of even more basic phones could add this as a default feature, they would clean up and beat the rest to at least the short term market that has a gaping hole at the lower to middle end of it.

30.08.2021. So the current price for Xiaomi is around 430 EUR on giztop (450+ on ali, preorders?). Pen is not included, so add 60 more EUR. ~500 EUR for base model. Whereas for 760 EUR you could get a samsung tab s7+, with pen included (also drawing on samsung tab with s-pen is better than drawing on xiaomi), better quality screen (IPS vs Super AMOLED) and bigger screen (11" vs 12.4") , Samsung Dex support etc. IMO xiaomi would be OK with sub-400 EUR price but as of right now I feel like samsung is more future-proof and better option.
