I appreciate all the concern for my safety under the rotor disc. The good news is I am unscathed and I have never been hit in the head by a rotor. I will qualify this with: know your helicopter and always be aware of the moving components. It’s what you don’t see or you aren’t aware of that will kill - always be alert and make sure you PAX are aware of the dangers.
@@GuardianAir I was an Army Aviator and flew this Helo in combat, and took instrument training in the TH-13T at Ft Rucker. They beat it into us; duck and move outside the disc...I also flew the Hiller OH-23G in combat, along with the usual other models like the UH-1D...And I have done a lot of VFR cross country flying at night...Loads of Fun!

I did all my flight training just to the west of Temple, Killeen Texas , shot many approaches in to temple.
On a 47 bell, it's always wise to travel with a spare starter and starter drive unit... most troublesome part on the engine.
This little trip was… quite the roller coaster. 😂 Great job on these videos!
Indeed! Glad to have you along😃
Waiting to hear the rest of this story. Crazy couple of days. 🚁
Did a lot of my instrument training work at Temple TX
Bummer;-/ Hope you can sort it sooner than later;-)
Central Texas college in Killeen at the Killeen airport used to have a 47 they might have some parts laying around.

That thing breaks more than my 2002 Ford Taurus.
1960’s technology for you! :)
I think I have flown that helicopter!
You might not want to stand under the rotor disc while it is running down. Not a good idea.
Probably good advice! Thanks for watching:)

Do you have any hesitations about ferrying single engine at night?
Where’s the part certificate?
Fantastic machine, good job. But.. Videoing yourself under the disc winding down.....not smart.
Cameron Texas sold many books there for the Lord.
