Filmed a few weeks ago before lockdown, a lovely woodland trail ride - a few canters, a lot of rearing from Ted, a lovely bus driver and a not so lovely loose dog! Captured on my GoPro Hero 7.

In this hack out with me video, I take you with me on a woodland trail ride where you'll see galloping gopro and me.. I fell off out hacking on Ted, my Irish Sport Horse. Riding With Rhi is a UK Equestrian TH-camr based in London.

I get the impression Ted can be quite opinionated sometimes 😂 very much like my own horse. Well done for not loosing your cool, and that sigh of relief I know all to well haha!
Hahaha .. whatever gave you that idea?! He certainly can. Oh I've definitely lost my cool with him before (see my 'honest update' video...), but it doesn't help and I know he's not doing it to be nasty, he's just excited. And yes! That road is usually horrid to ride. so much traffic.. let alone with a horse jogging sideways! I'm sure you know the feeling...

Everyone has had that day: when we say: "Walk" & your horse decides that 'jogging' is the new walk! So, you know he's on his toes & that you're going to have an interesting ride that day! 😁

Thanks for all your amazing videos. I don't own or loan a horse but I don't ride at a school so the pony I ride feels like my own. I have one question aswell which do you think would be better for riding.
A gopro body strap (harness thing)
Or one that connects to my helmet?
I already have the harness one but was wondering if it was worth buying the helmet strap.
Which angle do you thing would be better?
The veiw from the helmet or the harness? I think that the harness will show the reins a lot more but don't know if it's safe enough. (compared tot he helmet one. The one on the harness sticks out from around my chest)

I'm totally fine, luckily the gateway was into another woodland area, so I had a soft landing! Plus, I always hack him out with a body protector on because he rears / leaps about. Thanks for asking!
Are you still able to ride during the lockdown?
I am - but I am not hacking or jumping to minimise the risk as much as possible. This particular video was filmed before we went into lockdown. I am definitely missing these woodland rides. Are you?
