this is probably the smoothest qs Ive seen. How did you get it to downshift without using the clutch? I couldnt get mine to do it. I had the dynojet qs system. I got the gp style sensor and woodlich gp reverse shift knuckle. I loved the gp shift only thing I had to press down firm to change gears unlike this one you are using, it seems simple. One thing I never had problems with was missed shifts, not one time!

Well, manual clutch-less shift, if done right, is smooth and fun. Try it and you might just love that more. Usually clearing the pipes / full system with after market exhaust would produce flames, if the fueling turns out to be running rich. Running rich means excess fuel is not burnt, ends up out the exhaust pipes and due to the heat is ignited and thus you see the flame. Running too rich is not desirable as you waste fuel, and also the flames might hurt the exhaust valves. So actually, flames or no flames doesn't matter, what matters more is that the engine is running healthy else tuning should be done.
Km Azizi Transmission suffers hell without any resistance on the wheel. You do some research and avoid insulting someone who's been polite and educated.
This is not something everyday or frequently done, just once for the video, if a few runs like this can destroy the engine and transmission, that's rather unlikely. Maybe if it was done all the time, then yes, probably screwed it up. Thanks for sharing!

To be honest, I don't know how loud the sound is, we don't measure the dB, maybe you can try getting the information from Akrapovic, but Akrapovic exhaust usually are quite quiet at low/idle RPM, only start to get loud when the RPM get higher. It should be fine, if you are worried, get a dyno run done and check your fuel-air ratio, if it's running lean, then the valves will get damaged in the long term. Other than PC, you can opt to re-flash ECU.
Some can perform down shift too, but not as clean as a proper slipper clutch system, however some of the sportbikes do come ready with slipper and QS nowadays.

+Z33NY It electronically restricts ignition for a split second so there is no load from the motor on the transmission allowing for the gearbox to shift. It's the same as clutchless upshifts on a stock bike with no quickshifter. Same thing I do on my CBR. This makes it more precise. Down shifts on some bikes have a rev match feature which is better. Otherwise it uses the slipper clutch to mitigate the engine braking and prevent sliding. Some bikes have adjustable engine braking modes to reduce lock up as well.
A quick-shifter modifies the sparking/rev of the engine when you shift the gear (up), it is the same as what you would physically do when you perform a clutch-less up shift. See the starting part of this clip to understand clutch-less shift. th-cam.com/video/TnRPyRuv824/w-d-xo.html When you do clutch-less up shifts, you close your throttle for just a tiny fraction of a second while kicking the gear up and resume opening your throttle. The quick-shifter does this electronically (and much faster than manual), so you don't have to close your throttle as you would for a clutch-less shift.

What the hell are you guys doing?? there is no load on that back end. hence later load point in the drivetran. Clutch differential load points are NOT demonstrated at all and leaves this quickshift demonstration.... useless if you want to use it in real world scenarios. cool video, but bad demo

Not all QS works both ways. This one appears to be able to work both ways. The Translogic one I have does not work for down shift either.

You need to hold the clutch like normal when shifting from N to 1st, and when you're stopping.

It's IRC quick-shifter. You'll probably have to check to see if it's compatible, being a standalone unit I think it should be.

At the time of this video, dyno run was not performed. The owner has since sold the bike (it's an old video).
