Thank you so much Mike. The weather is wild with floods here too, despite it being the middle of summer. Some of our rivers are on major flood. Thankfully the rivers were I live aren't. They're quite high and dirty now, but not as flooded as the rivers 200km west of here. I hope you are all keeping well over there mate.

I asked you a couple of months ago if you had considered a Hobie mirage drive and this video really highlighted the advantages. You could control the Hobie in wind using your feet and also the rudder without needing to take your hands off your fishing gear. I know you feel you want to exercise your arms, but you do that anyway while fishing and the mirage drive is working your legs constantly. One day I will watch one of your videos and see you sitting in a Hobie, I’m sure of it.

Dam, a pleasant surprise that trout was. Was wondering if you've noticed anything with the redfin this year? from the few lakes I fish they seem to be smaller and fewer than previous years.. normally if they are smaller there are more of them, but this year seems weird.. maybe it's just me and I got to used to trout over winter.
Thanks mate. I haven't done a lot of redfin fishing lately other than this trip. I have not heard a lot of redfin reports from anywhere I must add. I do know that they're a very seasonal fish. Some years are way better than others.

It's definitely a hit and miss lake. I cast soft plastics around a lot on this trip and couldn't get a single fish on them. Usually they clean up.
