      Michael Conover Thanks Michael! I’m glad they have helped. I don’t have any new content recently, and the truck will be moving back to Florida while I stay in Texas, but I’m sure I’ll have some upgrades in the somewhat distant future. :)

      I just bought an 86 B2000 also. It has been difficult finding repair info.

    What an awesome video! Just bought a 92 B2200 and I love it, but the brakes a bit spongy - hope to bleed em sometime tomorrow. I am a very visual learner, so this video and your detailed descriptions are much appreciated! Thank you!

      awesome glad it helped you out! Grats on the truck I love them! my breaks are still spongy even after replacing the master cylinder and bleeding the breaks. leads me to believe my issue might be the break booster, and I'll eventually get around that. Work keeps me busy.

    only one thing. always start at the furthest from the reservoir. in this case, the rest left, typically the rear right.

    When you bleed brakes you always start furthest from the brake master cylinder meaning you go from rear passanger then rear driverside then front passanger then front driverside. Doing your method will cause air bubbles to still be trapped in the line causing a spongy pedal

    great just wanted to add to the readers to use a small zip tie at the end and our trucks have only one bleeder valve and its on the driver side rear then we move to passenger front than to driver front, she did well.

    one thing might cause spongy brakes is glazed pads and rotors. parts are fairly inexpensive. just change them out

      Ty C I got it on amazon, I forget the size but might be inner 1/4 inch diameter. Same tuning for fountain water pumps and such.

    Wow did you even have a brake pedal with all that air?

  • @jmendoza3580
    @jmendoza3580 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Quick question: I noticed the brakes are dragging slightly. Does this truck have a spring clip that normally pushes out the pads when is not compressed?

      J Mendoza I will be honest, I have no idea! Google might be able to help with that. Good luck with getting that taken care of!

      @@ninjaofalltrades4293 will you doing any videos on how to replace the drum brakes on the b2200?

  • @83malibuwagon
    @83malibuwagon 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just pulled off my passengers rear wheel because it's the farthest from the master cylinder but there's no bleeder valve ridiculous

    • @ninjaofalltrades4293
      @ninjaofalltrades4293  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I learned that sometime after making the video I think! I was like WTF?! The Mazda engineers really had no Fs to give in regards to repair design.

    What symptoms were you experiencing with the brakes that made you change the master cylinder? Did your brakes work great afterwards?

    • @ninjaofalltrades4293
      @ninjaofalltrades4293  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They were very spongy, but no, it didn't make it less spongy. Had my mechanic check it out too, and he pretty much said that's how those old trucks were.

      @@ninjaofalltrades4293 right on. I changed the master, and the rear brake cylinders, all pads, with the same results, spongy

    What size and length hose did you use

    • @ninjaofalltrades4293
      @ninjaofalltrades4293  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      moses Andrews it was a 1/4 interior width, length was about a foot and a half to two feet, whatever length you need to reach a stable platform.
