Exactly! My 7800X3D/4090 Combo gaming desktop is easily $2000 cheaper than this laptop. Not only is mine more powerful, every single part (minus the WiFi card) is fully upgradable.
Your total FPS is fore sure a lot better. However your CPU is slower then this one for daily tasks. I have a I7-14700KF that is a lot faster then the ryzen 7 7800X3D in multi tasking and single thread. But your cpu is faster in gaming. Not a whole lot. My 4080 super can't keep up with your 4090 for sure. And i also would never buy a 5400$ laptop.
So what is the actual battery life of the MSI Titan 18 HX? For gaming workloads and for productivity workloads? Its awesome, but the Razer Blade 18 has similar technical specifications to the Titan 18 HX with a vastly superior OLED display, Thunderbolt 5, 200 HZ 4K, and can still get 98 GB DDR5. I slightly prefer the Razer Blade 18 IMO. Also, this laptop is absolutely great, well worth the price only if you can afford it (as is the Razer Blade 18 and M3 Max Macbook Pro) but is absolutely nothing compared to a true desktop workstation full tower PC, not even remotely close.

As an OTR truck driver and a man that has some bills to pay. Im looking at several weeks of saving and im buying this thing so i can edit videos, photos and make music with fl studio in my semi truck after my shifts and in my 34 hour resets.
And gaming. You could download like libraries of emulators and games and steam and any game you could imagine and It still wouldn't scratch the surface of storage space

I almost bought this to be able to run 192GB as an upgrade to my Asus SCAR 18 2023 which currently runs 96GB DDR5, 16GB GDDR6 and 118GB Optane as a dedicated swap drive. The problem that stopped me is how regarded the design of MSI machines are and the port layout. I would be running 192GB DDR5 with overflow to a 3 disk 354GB Optane Raid 0 array. Half terrabyte memory workloads are exciting.

Might as well go for a higher end to get the best of all.
Some of us travel for work and have extreme commercial video or image editing needs. This machine fits the bill and we don't care about price. We'll use it for 3 years and toss it for another $6k laptop.

The MSI Titan is a super powerful no compromises mobile gaming juggernaut on the go! I don't need this much performance since the last gen Raider GE78HX 17inch13950HX/32/RTX 4080 is more than half price and perfect for my needs. I absolutely appreciate the customizable advanced bios/UEFI features MSI gives us. MSI has a well engineered chassis with decent powerful cooling. Whats up with these big laptops all having num pads? That kills it for me as no thansk for having to have hand placement shifted left, and generally those specs seem best for just running a bunch of virtual machines for labs. I genuinely wonder how good the speaker quality for music is vs a macbook pro as thats the consumer gold standard.

I find it how this has a massive 99.9Watt hour battery, it's the largest you can legally have on an airplane but at full power it will barely last 20 minutes at 270 watts 😂

128 ddr5 ram is useless, i9 14900hx will bottleneck the 4090 mobile so the 4090 mobile will be only be used a 92% of its power, a 4090 mobile is a desktop 4080 and an i9 14900hx will bottleneck any gpu exept the desktop 4090
Me . As a person with vision problems, this is awesome. The last laptop I had was a 18-in monitor and that was maybe 7 or 8 years ago. As a computer software programmer I have been waiting for this for so long. When they went down from 18 in the last time it was said that nobody would ever need something like this.

If the laptop has the same cores and vram as a 4080 and then calls it a 4090, how isn't this the same as the 4080 12 gig that was rebranded to the 4070 ti? And keep in mind the desktop can pull nearly double the frames of this laptop. This laptop performance gaming wise is slightly better than a 4070ti dektop for about $5400.

consider that the i9-14900HX and the Laptop 4090 with thermals taken into account is around the speed of an i5-14600K and a 4070 SUPER. MSI wants 5000 USD for this laptop by the way. You could just build a Mini ITX PC for 2500.

consider that the i9-14900HX and the Laptop 4090 with thermals taken into account is around the speed of an i5-14600K and a 4070 SUPER. MSI wants 5000 USD for this laptop by the way. You could just build a Mini ITX PC for 2500.
