    Thank you for the great tutorials! You two are very good with pointers and explanations. Most of the time I get bored with PB video tutorials because they’re too long explanations or boring. I love the way you get to the point and just do it! Love your bloopers too!,, ❤❤❤❤

    Such a wonderful video with insightful tips! I am curious how or if one changes anything significantly with a 3rd shot when the ball is hit much harder and with spin.

    • @CatherineParenteauPB
      @CatherineParenteauPB  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If the ball is coming harder I would recommend changing the speed of your follow through. If it's harder, you need to slow down your swing path and shorten your follow through!

    Excellent video. Far be it from me to “critique” Catherine the Great 😊, but she didn’t seem to be following her own instruction. She was hitting off her right (back foot) and falling back on several of those drops she missed.
    I love her personality. So fun!

    • @CatherineParenteauPB
      @CatherineParenteauPB  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This is to get people started with the technique and drills for the third shot drop. When I drill it's a bit different and I practice shots a little differently. Its perfectly fine to critique me, maybe thats why I missed all those drops at the end 😂 Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the video! ☺️

    Love 💕 all the tips CP & A, glad you did not edit out failed drops 😂I’ve been working on this shot for about a year and still have not mastered the shot, meaning I can hit it 95% of the time in a game.

  • @meeplechat5046
    @meeplechat5046 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Another amazing video. Especially on your forehand, you don’t seem afraid to hit the ball high rather than just try to skim over the net. Is that because you’re putting enough top spin on the ball so that when it lands, it bounces low on the other side and not as attackable anyways? When I try going well over the net, I bump it over but it bounces a little high and I get attacked a lot. Thank u Catherine!

    • @CatherineParenteauPB
      @CatherineParenteauPB  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This really depends on my position and the situation but in general yes I am putting top spin on my drops. I want to make sure I have enough net clearance cuz I really don't like missing them in the net. If it's high but I make it over at least I still have a chance!

    When you moved over and were on the opposite side of Athena (when you were making the most errors), you were stepping with your right foot instead of your left. When you demonstrated it at the beginning, you said to step with your left and hit it in front of your right. So, is it best to step with your left for forehands and your right for backhands, or is there a different rule of thumb?

    • @CatherineParenteauPB
      @CatherineParenteauPB  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You should always do what you find best for yourself! To your point though, this is probably why I was missing all those shots at the end 😂😂

    • @Hayley.Downey
      @Hayley.Downey 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@CatherineParenteauPB haha, okay. I definitely understand doing what works best for you, but let's say you are teaching someone new. Is it best to step with the opposite foot? So assuming righthandedness, left foot forward on the forehand and right foot forward on the backhand? Or do most people step forward with the same foot on both forehand and backhand?
