@8:00 I'm thinking heel hook, but I'm only just started myself so idk. Also great job!

The boulder with the rope is revolutionary.

It was a lot of fun, always wish they had more unique set ups like that.

honestly quite good for under a year of climbing, at this point i would start to really work on that technique especially your foot placements

Thanks! I've been training quite a bit since so hopefully I've improved.

Really enjoyed this! I’ve only been climbing a few months and am working on V1-V2 still, so a video like this is really inspiring. It’s nice to see someone working on a few of the lower grades and demonstrating smooth technique, plus pushing to your limit on V4-V5. Especially appreciated the perseverance on the hand-hold one and the rope swing! Great job!

Thanks Joanne! What a lovely comment. I spent a good amount of time on V2 before moving up to V3 and 4. Taking a beginners course and climbing with friends are both great ways to push through those earlier levels in my experience. Also climbing at least once a week!

Great job! Something I've learnt and would recommend is that you spend at least 3 seconds looking at your feet, when you place them, and confirming that they're solid before looking back at your hands. You don't have to do that all the time, but maybe every second boulder or ones that you feel uncomfortable on. (I do this on rope, because my fear of heights makes me focus too much on my hands, but I think it work well on boulders too.)

Yeah that's something I've been trying to work on a lot. Cheers Linde.

No clue why this was in my recommended but the algorithm really wanted me to see this Ig. Really cool vid for a beginner climber/youtuber. You look good on the wall so thanks for sharing. I'll say this-- your movement @11:50 looks really solid, and I think if you used similar movement on the orange @8:00 you could have preserved more energy for the harder climbs. Good work overall though, keep it up man

this gym is quite close to me! only been once, usually go to depot near Trafford centre. Nice place though, I wish I had known they were doing something like this

Yeah Depot is great. BlocHaus is a little closer for me and I really like the set up they have (also not too busy) so 100% recommend.

Your movements look rather rigid sometimes. The stabby placement of the feet for example. Try to relax your limbs to allow them move more freely, eyes on hold where a limb goes until it’s completely placed before looking away as well. A bit more technique could help too. Again, try to relax, breathe and go on. Regardless, don’t forget to have a lot of fun and also, great session!

Yeah great observation, that's something I have picked up on but it definitely takes time for me to get used to. Thanks for your comment Sam.
