My Aqua 25, has failed, only 2 yrs old, seems the electrical ballast system has packed in , not happy, surely should last much longer .

Why does the industry insist on using that crappy black, ribbed, flexible pipe? I've just spent days over the festive period trying to find and sort out leaks from numerous split bits of pipework and now looking at a way to move over to rigid pipes. Those stainless steel hose clips are pretty much useless and everyone (other pond owners, pond supply shops etc) advises to wrap the hosetail with electrical tape then use the wire clips to seal the pipe to the hosetail.
And to make matters worse, I note my evo15 has a slight drip coming out of the bodywork!

Hi, We provide all options in our manual, for using flexible hose and pressure pipe, it is down to the pond owners which option they would prefer to choose depending on their set ups.
If you would like to email into info@evolutionaqua.com with photos/videos of where the drip is coming from, we will be able to assist you further.
      Regards,
      Evolution Aqua

@@EvolutionAquaLtd Not having a go at you guys, it's the system. Even my local pond shops only sell the flimsy ribbed stuff. I mean, you guys all provide barbed hosetail connectors with your products which are as much use as an ashtray on a moped if you have to wrap them with electrical tape before sliding the pipe over. I mean yes, it works - but it's a crap system. With cars, the edges of metal tubes are lipped and the hoses are smooth, they only just slide over, a snug fit, and a jubilee clip is good enough to hold everything watertight. Having a larger pond now, I've moved up to the 25w (as in this clip), the pipework is all 40mm solid waste pipe(courtesy of my local DiY shed) and I've got silicone hosepipe for the transition from waste pipe to hosetail (courtesy of my local motor factor), it all looks so much neater and, most importantly, not a drip in sight
