Shes having a great day! #caregiver #ENDALZ #alzheimerscaregiver #alzheimersawareness #dementia #alzheimers #alzheimersdisease #dementiacare #dementiaawareness #alzheimer
The longer you talked and fired questions at her the more stressed she became. Slow down. She cannot follow rapid fire conversation. I felt so sorry for her.
No no no. It's called trying to engage her, nothing wrong with that. I think if she'll answer the questions 🤔 then it's better than just letting her sit in a corner somewhere not engaging in any conversation. She only has so long until her communication skills completely leave her, talk to her and try to get a response while you can. Just my opinion and no, Thank God I have never had a family member with alzhiemers.
@@michaelhungate7506 , sorry the rapid fire change of subjects loses her. I have much experience as a caregiver of dementia patients and trying to engage is good to be sure. However there is almost an art to it, and this is not it. Introducing a subject, then quickly snatching it away for a new one breaks my heart for her.
@michaeloffman8694 I have no doubt there is an art to it, it probably changes by the second. I'm no expert but I think the engagement is important, I concede to more experience. Thank God I have no experience directly with this disease . 🙏
I love your mom, she is so sweet. We lost our mom last year in April. I miss her so much. My mother was not vocal in the end and she couldn't walk any more. Cherish these moments with your mother, they are so special.
Im so glad to see Betty doing better. Bob is snoozin and snug as a bug in a rug!!
I love you
"Thank you"
My father in law says that too. His is progressing quickly. Bless you all. ❤
Love you Mrs. Betty .
