    Hi Dan, great channel so glad I found you here in the UK, some of the backdrop scenery is spectacular, and these smaller day type boats are fabulous. One thing that I think might help ''dreamers'' decide on which boat; it would be helpful if you put a $ cost in the title. I know options come thick and fast (and expensive), but maybe a from price, or price as tested with x$ options? Just a thought.
    Looking forward to many hours on your channel.

      Thanks Gary! You make a good point as i have watched and enjoyed Aquaholic for many years and he always did that. I just figured being in Australia and putting Aussie dollars up there would be confusing for people from all around the world but maybe i'll need to re-think that. Appreciate the feedback!

      That was last summer, weather is back to normal now. I'm actually going to film an updated reiew on a 2023 Ryck in a few weeks so stay tuned. This brand deserves more attention than it's currently getting.

      Haha yes ok it depends on the sizes! It really is a lot bigger in the cockpit than other boats like the Axopar 28 for example. Thats what i was noticing as i sat in the lounge.

    One of these or the Nimbus T9, or Axopar 28? Cheers Dan!

      Great question as all three are excellent boats and i'd personally be happy to own any one of them.
      I think it comes down to your individual needs as they all have similar performance characteristics with minor differences (i might film a video on this one day).
      You need to consder factors like what country you're buying in, how long you want to keep the boat for and what's you mission for the boat? The answers to these questions will guide you to which boat to buy (perhaps i should explain this in more detail one day with another video?)
      For example the Nimbus is the highest quality build. The Ryck is arguably the sexiest and it has the biggest accomodation below plus widest social space on deck. The Axopar is the industry standard being the first one to market so it has the widest market recognition at the moment so will have the best resale. Nimbus and Ryck are both born from established brands and factories so they are unlikely to suffer the same amount of growing pains as Axopar did however they are still new to the adventure boat space so they are bound to suffer some problems like all new brands do.
      Another major factor in 2022 will be supply. You'll likely find that Axopar is sold out till 2023 and the competitors could see this which is why they are coming to market with their own ideas and launching them now as this category of boat is growing exponentially in terms of new owners entering the adventure boat genre.
      Hope that helps?
      Dan

    Nice boat!
    Dan i hope you can test The Aquila 36 Hydrofoil Power Catamaran.

      Hi Glenn! Yes I’ve been following the Aquila and I’m also a multihull fan so this would interest me. I’m currently overloaded with awesome monohull day boats to film but I will keep an eye out and test the Aquila if the opportunity arises! Thanks for the feedback 👍

    Is there any option to semi-close the lounge pad area so that one or two adults (or kids) can sleep a couple of nights outside? If not, which would be the smallest day speed boat option that can sleep a family of 4? I have the axopar 28 cabin and potentially the 25 in mind

      Yes I believe they have a camper style fully enclosed cover as an option. Also look at the Nimbus W9 and T9 and maybe even the Quarken 27 t-top

    Hello Dan, great channel! Just a little question, why does it seem like boats in Australia are so much more expensive than elsewhere? I saw a boat that is USD$43K in the US and looked it up here and it is AUD$170k. I'm just very curious as to why that is

    • @BoatLife_DansBoatLife
      @BoatLife_DansBoatLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      G'day Juan! Everything is more expensive here unfortunately, $6 Avocados is the price you pay for living in paradise. But it's also a combination of currency exchange, shipping (we're bloody far from everywhere) and wages as people earn a lot more here in Australia so it makes everything expensive. Also the dealer structure is quite different here with single dealers having to cover geographical areas half the size of the USA and they still need to travel and service the clients. We do look at the price of everything in the US with envy at times!
      Finally a lot of Aussie boats are advertised with a higher minimum spec when compared to overseas so this can also make it look different. Thanks for watching and I'll have to visit the US soon. I've never been there but more Americans are following me than Aussies!!

    • @Seb.555
      @Seb.555 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BoatLife_DansBoatLife I did notice that they seem to be oftentimes better specd here. Also, avos are $1.20 in Coles now haha Thanks for replying to my question!
