I've been a Plants Vs Zombies fan my entire life. I've played tons of Plants Vs Zombies Challenges, and even played through some hard mode mods like Plants Vs Zombies Plus. So after 100%ing Plants Vs Zombies 2, I decided to go back to the original and give it a try. Let me know what game I should 100% next! Or should I try my hand at some Plants Vs Zombies Speedruns?

I don't know what kind of zombies this man played against but spike week kills one normal zombie in two tiles and since it technically has infinite pierce, it's a really really good plant

Not placing sunflowers in the back is actually a very good strategy, I have no idea what those comments are talking about. I'd much rather the zombies eat one of my 50-cost sunflowers than my more expensive attackers. It's best to think of sunflowers as not just a sun producer, but also a meatshield that protects your more important and expensive plants in the back.

that's probably because the meat shield plant is the same cost, and usually goes in the front of your expensive attackers... you know, the nut plant?
It really is a "this feels wrong" strat until you use it and realize that it's an objectively more powerful strategy. Not that you ever really need it for PVZ1 the game isn't hard enough to warrent it. PVZ2 on the other hand...

As a Spikeweed enjoyer, HEAR ME OUT: They're cheap, they recharge quickly, they ignore shields, and if you plant them at the very front of your lawn, they stop zombonis before they lay down ice. That's my delightful lil' guy (you're also right about Chomper)

I used spikeweed/rock a lot in pvz2 as an immortal offensive plant, and to cheese mid-tile flowerline levels.
Spike weed is only good in pvz2 cause of flower line and it has faster attack speed
it also hits all zombies on the tile at once. put a nut next to it, and it becomes a deathtrap for that entire lane.

There’s an even easier way to grind money. When you beat a minigame, exit the level before picking up the trophy that gives you the diamond. Then click the minigame and it’ll ask if you want to continue. Hit yes and collect the diamond. Go back to the minigame select and you’ll notice you can keep “continuing” the completed minigame from the end, giving free money with no challenge.
To anyone that sees this comment and asks if it works for Mobile or Console, no. This is only in the OG PC version. This glitch is also not in the GOTY edition either.
Fun fact! It is actually more advantageous to NOT have sunflowers in the back row. They are very cheap and recharge quite quickly, so they’re largely expendable. You’re actually better off putting peashooters and other attackers in the back few rows, giving them more time to attack.
I always put a few sunflowers in the back row (just to make sure I don't run out) but the majority will go in the front.

The reason why you didn't get the wall-nut bowling achievement on the first bowling level is because you needed to kill 5 Zombies with one normal wall-nut. That's why it also said, "Bowl over" if that clears you're confusion.

Planting sunflowers in the front is actually alot more viable (for long ranged shooters) than placing them in the back, so you are right on that part
I also highly agree with you on chomper, all you need is a larger sun production than usual and boom! You've got yourself a spammable instant attacker, speaking of spammable instant attackers, maybe one day you will realize celery stalker's true power

At this point it became a thing of pride.
One person fended them off with plants for 3 full days. Most people probably died in a matter of minutes.
They wasted too much going after one person and refuse to cut their losses.
I love how he says that sunshrooms mess up the ammount of sun you have making it not a increment of 25, but when showing the sun he has it is a increment of 25
So, there’s an easier way to beat a pool level without using peashooters. First, you need to beat the campaign, then go to pool levels 1 to 3 and have your main plant be… Cactus. Like Sean said, he is the worst plant in the game, but, the achievement doesn’t count cactus as being a peashooter. You must also know you can’t get this achievement on the fog levels since it needs you to beat a pool level and not a fog one. Hope this helps!

Bobsled Bonanza is one the easiest levels if you know how to do it.
You want to spam sunflowers to get enough sun, then place two spike weeds next to each other infront of the ice to kill all bobsled zombies and deal with zombonies, then just start upgrading the first column of spike weeds with spike rock, then start placing star fruit in the pool to beat the level quicker. It’s really not that complicated and use any insta u want, I’d recommend jalapeño and squash

I recommend Risk of Rain 2, Clone drone in the danger zone, castle crashers, What the Golf?, and raft for 100% runs. Easily some of the most fun I've had 100%-ing some games (Aside from the usual grind-y achievements) Plus, if Seanie has any friends, the games become far more fun...and possible.

To explain the problem with Scaredy shroom; he got by far the worst nerf in PvZ 2, getting a lower scared defense buff and a needlessly distant scared range. He's still easy-ish to spam, but nearly EVERY plant is better.
I believe certain other returning plants are worse... (I have a video explaining this, but it was made before Scaredy-shroom and Sea-shroom came back)
Setting the record straight, sunflowers in front is objectively the best strategy.
If a zombie horde eats through your damaging plants and you have sunflowers in the back, you have to scramble to shovel up all your sunflowers to place down attacking plants that are going to get eaten immediately, not to mention sun producing plants are cheap and have a faster cooldown than the more expensive damaging plants you'll need on harder modes.
Sun is not more valuable than a dead zombie, and every second a zombie is chewing through a sunflower in front of a peashooter, the peashooter is still gunning down the zombie.
It only "feels wrong" because the game encourages you to put sunflowers in the back.
Nuts can cut down on this issue, but nuts alone don't change the fact sunflowers don't need protection as much as damaging plants do.
Commenters on the PvZ2 video: *getting mad that the sunflowers aren't in the very back*
Me: *maniacally laughs in placing my sunflowers in the middle because if the zombies eat my walls, i'd rather have the sunflowers go down before my attacking plants do*

I ran a DnD campaign where the players met a Druid named Davri the Crazed. He had been messing around with some experiments and asked the players to take out some zombies and their Zombie-Ogre Gargantuar leader with a wand called the Peashot.
Halfway through the fight a giant experimental Chomper came through the ground and randomly ate a zombie every turn.
Best. Session. Ever.
During my own playthrough of this game, I've learned a good few things while painstakingly trying to 100% this:
The cones on coneheads take exactly 14 hits to be destroyed (7 for each damage state).
Potato mines require about 4 columns of distance to arm, so if a zombie is reaching column 7, place the potat in column 3.
Crying is a viable strategy when going for the Vasebreaker and I, Zombie streak achievements.
Doom Shroom and Ice Shroom can be eaten or carried away if you dont wake them up fast enough. I learned this the hard way.
You don't need Coffee Bean for Gold Magnet.

Zomboss has personal beef with Crazy Dave. Don't know if that's a PVZ2 thing but it makes sense.

Finally, someone gets me, I always hated that if the small sun-shrooms dont make it a multipe of 25 before they are done growing, it stays at an awkward number!
Here's my tip on getting the achievement "don't pea in the pool" wait until YOU UNLOCK COFEE BEAN AND GLOOM SHROOM AND GARLIC and put gloom shroom in the second and fourth lane and use garlic so zombies go in other lane.....but unfortunately ZOMBONIS EXIST TO COUNTER THEM
