Fun fact! It is actually more advantageous to NOT have sunflowers in the back row. They are very cheap and recharge quite quickly, so they’re largely expendable. You’re actually better off putting peashooters and other attackers in the back few rows, giving them more time to attack.
This doesn't really mean anything in PVZ 1 because of how easy the game is, but in PVZ2, it really does wonders because of the 50 sun meta. Sunflowers in that game are essentially 25 sun in PVZ 1 so spamming them is way easier and they become more expendable than in PVZ 1 plus they give so much sun when spammed that you can use expensive plants like winter melon and mega gatling pea as your main attackers with a load of sunflowers (or its variants) and the right early game support plants
There’s an even easier way to grind money. When you beat a minigame, exit the level before picking up the trophy that gives you the diamond. Then click the minigame and it’ll ask if you want to continue. Hit yes and collect the diamond. Go back to the minigame select and you’ll notice you can keep “continuing” the completed minigame from the end, giving free money with no challenge.
To anyone that sees this comment and asks if it works for Mobile or Console, no. This is only in the OG PC version. This glitch is also not in the GOTY edition either.
Not placing sunflowers in the back is actually a very good strategy, I have no idea what those comments are talking about. I'd much rather the zombies eat one of my 50-cost sunflowers than my more expensive attackers. It's best to think of sunflowers as not just a sun producer, but also a meatshield that protects your more important and expensive plants in the back.
It really is a "this feels wrong" strat until you use it and realize that it's an objectively more powerful strategy. Not that you ever really need it for PVZ1 the game isn't hard enough to warrent it. PVZ2 on the other hand...

Bobsled Bonanza is one the easiest levels if you know how to do it. You want to spam sunflowers to get enough sun, then place two spike weeds next to each other infront of the ice to kill all bobsled zombies and deal with zombonies, then just start upgrading the first column of spike weeds with spike rock, then start placing star fruit in the pool to beat the level quicker. It’s really not that complicated and use any insta u want, I’d recommend jalapeño and squash
Planting sunflowers in the front is actually alot more viable (for long ranged shooters) than placing them in the back, so you are right on that part I also highly agree with you on chomper, all you need is a larger sun production than usual and boom! Me and my younger brother used to have a shared saved file for this game, for a good few years. (We used to have shared saved files and shared accounts for certain games.) We grinded through most of the game but it took so long because we weren’t that good at video games at the time. Well the day after I got the most important achievement to me in the game by literally playing the game for 5 something hours a day for months, I log on in sheer horror to see that my brother deleted the game safe. With no way to get it back, I call him in a fit of rage and he started crying saying he accidentally deleted it and then proceeded to hang up!! Even though I love watching this channel I don’t watch Plants vs. Zombies videos on here often because of that. I don’t know why because it’s just a stupid video game and it must of been 6-8 years ago. 😭

It's enough of a cultural phenomenon that I understand it alright and it doesn't keep me from enjoying videos like this one, but I have never once played a single game in this franchise. So, there’s an easier way to beat a pool level without using peashooters. First, you need to beat the campaign, then go to pool levels 1 to 3 and have your main plant be… Cactus. Like Sean said, he is the worst plant in the game, but, the achievement doesn’t count cactus as being a peashooter. You must also know you can’t get this achievement on the fog levels since it needs you to beat a pool level and not a fog one. Hope this helps!
I'm like ten seconds in, but like. You're right in not putting your sunflowers at teh back. It doens't really matter for PVZ1, but it makes pvz2 a lot easier. Hell, I've seen meta that Big Wave Beach is in part so hard because it has a lot of zombies that target the front row, and most people put their attacking plants there, instead of their sunflowers (which losing sucks, but is far less detrimental than losing your dps). Also man, seeing the old artstyle (and the old, so much worse sunshroom) after playing pvz2 is so weird. What do you mean sunshrooms don't grow to be better than sunflowers. What do you mean I can't use them outside of night levels :(.
The reason why you didn't get the wall-nut bowling achievement on the first bowling level is because you needed to kill 5 Zombies with one normal wall-nut. That's why it also said, "Bowl over" if that clears you're confusion.

Fun fact! I was emulating the DS version of PvZ and noticed that if a seed isnt fully recharged by the time a Survival Wave is completed, the seed will restart its recharge AND take twice as long to do so. Okay, so not exactly a fun fact but a fact nonetheless.

During my own playthrough of this game, I've learned a good few things while painstakingly trying to 100% this: The cones on coneheads take exactly 14 hits to be destroyed (7 for each damage state). Potato mines require about 4 columns of distance to arm, so if a zombie is reaching column 7, place the potat in column 3. Crying is a viable strategy when going for the Vasebreaker and I, Zombie streak achievements. Doom Shroom and Ice Shroom can be eaten or carried away if you dont wake them up fast enough. I learned this the hard way. You don't need Coffee Bean for Gold Magnet.

I used spikeweed/rock a lot in pvz2 as an immortal offensive plant, and to cheese mid-tile flowerline levels.
Spike weed is only good in pvz2 cause of flower line and it has faster attack speed
it also hits all zombies on the tile at once. put a nut next to it, and it becomes a deathtrap for that entire lane.

I'm like ten seconds in, but like. You're right in not putting your sunflowers at teh back. It doens't really matter for PVZ1, but it makes pvz2 a lot easier. Hell, I've seen meta that Big Wave Beach is in part so hard because it has a lot of zombies that target the front row, and most people put their attacking plants there, instead of their sunflowers (which losing sucks, but is far less detrimental than losing your dps).
Also man, seeing the old artstyle (and the old, so much worse sunshroom) after playing pvz2 is so weird. What do you mean sunshrooms don't grow to be better than sunflowers. What do you mean I can't use them outside of night levels :(.
The reason why you didn't get the wall-nut bowling achievement on the first bowling level is because you needed to kill 5 Zombies with one normal wall-nut. That's why it also said, "Bowl over" if that clears you're confusion.

To explain the problem with Scaredy shroom; he got by far the worst nerf in PvZ 2, getting a lower scared defense buff and a needlessly distant scared range. He's still easy-ish to spam, but nearly EVERY plant is better.
I believe certain other returning plants are worse... (I have a video explaining this, but it was made before Scaredy-shroom and Sea-shroom came back)
Fun fact! I was emulating the DS version of PvZ and noticed that if a seed isnt fully recharged by the time a Survival Wave is completed, the seed will restart its recharge AND take twice as long to do so.
Okay, so not exactly a fun fact but a fact nonetheless.

During my own playthrough of this game, I've learned a good few things while painstakingly trying to 100% this:
The cones on coneheads take exactly 14 hits to be destroyed (7 for each damage state).
Potato mines require about 4 columns of distance to arm, so if a zombie is reaching column 7, place the potat in column 3.
Crying is a viable strategy when going for the Vasebreaker and I, Zombie streak achievements.
Doom Shroom and Ice Shroom can be eaten or carried away if you dont wake them up fast enough. I learned this the hard way.
