Aespa is the youngest group in SM Ent. Like other SM groups, they're strong at vocal and vocals harmony. They have metaverse concept that shows 2 vibes, some time, digital experimental futuristic and some other time, natural real-world vibe. They have some story telling songs in the lyrics. SM Ent releases short films to support the lore. Up to now, there're 3 short films. You should check them out.
I Iove aespa's music. It’s unique. It’s futuristic. Their storyline/lore is intriguing. Their discography is diverse. I love their concept. I love their sound. Their vocals are amazing. Their rapping is dope. Their dancing is top-tier. They have great visuals. Their choreographies are awesome. Their MVs are phenomenal. 😊❤❤❤❤
Black Mamba (debut) - 21 million views in 24 hours current K-pop record; Next Level - SOTY (Best K-Pop Song and Song of the Year) - 19th Korean Music Awards; Savage - PAK (Perfect All-Kill) first 4th gen GG; Dreams Come True - remake of S.E.S. produced by BoA (the queen); Life's Too Short - response for the haters? haha; Girls (album) - the best-selling album by a K-Pop girl group in history at over 1.6 million copies (until that moment); My World (latest album) - most-sold album from K-pop girl group on 1st day and fastest girl group to become double-million sellers. aespa achieves 'Rookie Grand Slam' title - they win Rookie of the Year or an equivalent recognition at the Melon Music Awards, Golden Disc Awards, Mnet Asian Music Awards, Seoul Music Awards and Gaon Chart Music Awards.
As others may have mentioned, aespa's "Dreams Come True" is the remake of a classic hit from SM's very first Kpop girl group S.E.S. from the '90s. This whole Station project was produced by BoA -- who is an SM solo artist that has been in the industry for more than two decades -- in collaboration with Bada -- who is a member of S.E.S. Everything from the rewriting and restyling of the song, to the choice of choreography and MV concept was orchestrated by BoA, and she specifically did it all with aespa in mind because she thinks aespa could become the S.E.S. for the new generation. If you haven't already, you should check out S.E.S.'s original version MV in order to really understand aespa's song and MV concept. The English lines are the same lines from the original version. And the fairy wings and a lot of those dance moves are an iconic part of the original MV and choreography, it's all part of a homage to S.E.S.'s version. It was BoA's idea to give the vocalists rap lines and to showcase the power vocals of the rappers. Hence why Karina -- who is the leader, main dancer and lead rapper of the group -- was given a main vocal part. It just goes to show you, yet again, why they are an SM group, because even the rappers are amazing singers. Fun fact: Yoo YoungJin, who is an SM singer, songwriter, main producer and vocal coach, etc., is the one that does the alien rap voice in S.E.S.'s original version of "Dreams Come True." Plus, if you want to see how this whole project came about and the behind the scenes of them making everything, you should check out all the episodes of SM's "Re:MASTERPIECE" project, which is a sort of documentary look at everything that went into remastering this classic hit. It was really interesting to see BoA use her years of experience and expertise to mentor aespa and to put everything she has learned in her 21+ years in the industry as one of the best female singers and dancers, into creating this project. Fun fact No. 2: BoA is the de facto leader of GOT the Beat (the girl group version of SuperM) and she is the voice you hear saying "Killing me softly" in Taemin's "Idea." And, once you see aespa's "ep. 3 'Girls (Don't you know I'm a Savage?)' -- SM Culture Universe" video, you will see how BoA becomes an important part in aesepa's storyline.
aespa's "Forever" is a cover/remake of a song, which was originally released in 2000 by Yoo YoungJin. Yoo YoungJin is an SM singer, songwriter and main producer. He also has been a vocal coach for almost all of SM's Idols. He has produced or collaborated on a large majority of SM's songs. Winter is one of Yoo YoungJin's most prized students and she is nicknamed "Yoo YoungJin's daughter" because of her similar, impressive vocal style and abilities. Yoo YoungJin is one of the reasons why SM is known as a vocal powerhouse company. Yoo YoungJin is the one that is most often credited with coming up with the most iconic parts of SM's songs. For example, you may recognize him if you have listened to the studio recording of EXO D.O.'s version of "(Tell Me) What is Love", which features Yoo YoungJin. He is also the one who does the ad libs and high notes in the background of Super Junior's "Sorry Sorry Answer" MV, and he is the one you hear harmonizing with Taeyeon in Girls' Generation's song "The Boys," etc. (Back in the day, his vocals and/or ad libs were used in a lot of SM's songs.) If you look up Yoo YoungJin, you would be surprised how many of SM's songs he has been involved in over the years. If you made a list, it would probably be easier to list the songs he didn't work on. LOL
If u don’t believe that they can dance, why don’t u ask bailey Sok, she helped choreographed some of aespa’s dances. Bailey Sok can vouche for their dancing skill. U r very wrong about their dancing skills. Like i said do not judge what u see in a mv coz its only a snippet of the full choreography
Ur mixing up karina and winter. Karina has a deeper and richer baritone singing voice and winter has a softer tone but higher pitch but she got power when she is belting the high notes. Just so u no, what u see in the mv isnt the full choreography. U should see the full performance of the sings before u judge the choreography in the mv. Also u r very wrong about their dancing skills. As a SM stan i can assure u sm trains the crap out of their trainees. All SM artist are among the best dancers in the industry. They can do some serious choreography. Like i said do not judge aespa’s dancing base off of what u see in the mv. Its only a snippet and it doesn’t show their dancing skills
2 MVs and pretty sure you're mixing up winter and Karina so far 😅 "That's hands down winter"😂 It's fine though, sometimes it takes a while to remember faces

I'm a Once and Luvie primarily, but Aespa is my 4th gen bias. Ning Ning is my favorite 4th gen idol.

My aespa
Like other SM groups, especially Red Velvet, their B-sides are delicious and non-skip.
