- D-129 SANTA FE VINTAGE WEST Railfan Railroad
“In one and a half hours Charles Smiley’s “Santa Fe Vintage West”, does a remarkable job of taking us from WWII up to around 1993. As I watched I appreciated both the selection of footage chosen and the research applied. Charles Smiley’s frame by frame enhancements are an exhaustive process and yet very much worth the effort. Whether you watch this as a railfan or modeler, I can’t think of a better way than to spend an hour and a half.”
The entire DVD is available at www.cspmovies.com
for people wondering what a Baltimore and Ohio Geep was doing all the way in California; in the late 70s ATSF had needed more power and ultimately from 1977-1980, wound up leasing units from different railroads including the CNW, CN, DMIR, C&O and B&O (under chessie), NW, and SP.

Great stuff indeed. I could watch these all day. Vintage locomotives and freight cars with no graffiti. Love it.

1:48 Two of the West Colton Yard SD38-2's!
What I really like in this were the EMD F45/FP45 diesels.
At 02:55, where you have it labeled Keenbrook is really slightly West of Devore.
Santa Fe is a good story for BNSF Railway
