    A brilliant and generous teacher. Saying that still feels like an inadequate understatement.

    Thank you for these 'light bulb' moments your lessons bring. You keep it so simple and yet practical. It's really pulling together all what has, before now being a bit tedious. 'Am now playing the 'I want you back' bass line easily and enjoying it!

    Every couple of weeks, since I began your lessons, I have a moment that pops!!! I've been in and out of bands for years, but have unfortunately developed some huge gaps in my musical knowledge as a Bass player. Slowly, as I struggle through your lessons, some gaps get filled and everything makes sense at that moment. Thanks for your awesome lessons Dan.

    Learning this is awesome and Dan does such a distinction with each note. I was listening to the Beatles and how awesome Paul McCartney he played so many awesome n sweet bass lines the best using a pic bassist . As Dan is every bit like Paul without a pic n with Dan plays every note is solid and patterns love it

    That first Jaco-is line is really sweet. As a guitarist playing bass for fun these lessons are great on having insight to a bassist's mind.

    Dan, I would love to see you do a tutorial on Alfa Anderson's " We Were So Chic " Bass Line. I have no reason to doubt that this is all Bernard Edwards' handywork and it is such a totally funky line , I want to try and learn it. Let me know what you think and if you would take this one on. If anyone can do it I think you can. Thanks!

    Do you have a course on Patterns?

  • @MrCotaman98
    @MrCotaman98 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Great stuff, just signed up for a course. Qu: at minute 10:07 you have the second note of the pattern as a major second? I thought the second note of a major scale was minor?? So i would have to look at it as a minor pattern?? This type of vocabulary has always confused me. I have a grasp of everything else just sometimes this vocabulary throws me off just when I start to get it. Or I should think , it’s just the second note OF a major scale? Thanks in advance. (MikeB)

    • @OnlineBassCourses
      @OnlineBassCourses  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks, Mike! The interval is a ‘Major 2nd’. You might be getting confused with the chord created from that degree of the major scale - that is, indeed, a minor chord.

    Hey Dan, am I right about?
    The further you advance in playing the bass. The easier it becomes.
    It’s the hardest to learn the basics and all the patterns and the fretboard. But then it becomes “simple” to recognize all of the above?
    Greetings.

      Hee Dan, your advice paid off almost immediately.
      Your advise to buy a cheap acoustic bass to keep with you at all times. I did buy one and got it delivered yesterday and in the evening I was watching a movie and in it a small part of Nina Simone’s Feel good track was played ( great song ❤️) and I had the urge to play a little and now I was able too. Thanks to you.
      Very nice. 🙏🏻💪🏻
