Iowa is great overall. I live in Ames and is amazing. Look out for the new Cytown development to be complete next year and the Linc starting construction this year. Great things to come

I think about moving around cedar rapids from time to time. I like visiting CR. But I'd rather have the small town living area. This video is insightful.

Which city in Iowa would have an art community. Art towns? Artists? Where do they live and art galleries?

Cedar Rapids has a history of art as Grant Wood was from a small town just east of Cedar Rapids.

I lived in Sioux City one hot summer did construction work. I lived under a bridge I practically had my own River. Sioux City smells like flowers. So glad that the zombies walking around on fentanyl in the ghetto so it doesn't get gentrified😊

I moved here from Minnesota. This truly is the best place that I have lived. I've been in Cedar Rapids for over 20 years. Over the last few years I have really noticed how much freedom we have and small govt. They just lowered the state income tax so we are half MN and we are on our way to zero income tax.

I don't know how you think the leaders of Iowa are "moderate". In all my 70 years, I have never seen Iowa so damaged by the far right wing, both in the Legislature and the governorship. Although I am currently not in Iowa, I have been planning to move back to the state to be closer to my family. But the political leadership in Iowa has moved so far right, that I may decide to stay in Minnesota. If you care about politics and don't want to live in such a "red" state, don't move to Iowa.
