This is stunning!!!! I have made beach coasters and a beach paper towel holder as my first projects. Now I am planning to make a very small entry way table for my son’s one room apartment. Should I do a clear epoxy coat over the whole thing after the ocean cures so that the table has an even surface? Thanks!
@@NitasFluidWoodworks Hi Nita I just took the master course. I got to 75% complete and it says there are are no more videos. I did not see a video o with you actually finishing the piece. Please advise. Thanks!
Thank you so much for such a great detailed tutorial, "How much Resin should be thick when we are creating waves, all my Rein showed perfect cells but when cured this was all like white hairy/cloudy layers of waves 😭😭😭😭😭" My resin working time is one hour or so to become thicker.
I am using Liquid glass with mica powder for my ocean depths. I am using castin craft for my white to get the froth. My epoxy is coming out too thin. Yes, my ratio is correct. Do I need to just let the epoxy set up for a bit before pouring? Or what am i doing wrong.
Those are awesome, I saw your tic too about your you tube channel, I like this platform way better. Longer videos more explanation, but the tic tok gets faster results. You have a great talent, one day I'm going to turn resin, I just need too get better at turning.
Thank you for your kind words! I wish one of my talents was video or editing 😂 or maybe not cussing 🤦🏽 I'm working on it, though slowly when I get time. Much easier to get found on tiktok 👌🏽
Hi Nita. Absolutely stunning work!!! I am fairly new to resin and have only made ocean coasters, a ocean paper towel holder and some tumblers to far. I have not worked with wood. I just purchased a live edge cutting board, roughly 2' x 1' to make my son a small entry table for his ocean themed college apartment. I want it to look just like yours in this video and only hope to come close!! I do have a couple of questions... Did you do anything to the cutting board to prep it before creating the waves? Once the waves cure should I seal the entire table with anything or do layer of clear epoxy over it so that the whole table top is level like for placing a small lamp on it? Thanks so much for your help!
I don't recall which video it was but you mentioned an additive you used to make your waves look deeper. I'm wondering if just a drop of liquid dark blue in a cup of resin would do the same result.
I have a question the Just Resin do you us the LUSTER PIGMENT PASTE ? What Exactly do you use? I know which whites you use and It looks like the Teal you use is the luster, I'm not sure about the blues, they have a lot of choices...Love your work✌💜
Hi Nita I took your master course. I got to 75% complete and it says there are are no more videos. I did not see a video where you actually finish the piece. I really liked your tutorial the best...I've been unsuccessful with lacing! I'm using casting craft and armor Art separately lol I'm gonna try a little of both together...I'm also gonna buy the resin spritz cell maker stuff😂 Thank you for doing this!♡ I'm determined to get this tecnique💪🏻 idc how long it takes...I'm gonna get this LOL P.S, I'm also ither using Let's Resin or Pro marine art resin
Of course it's beautiful, you are the best. Question: When you buy the board from say TJ MAXX , DO you need to sand the wood or treat the wood before doing this? I know the boards sometimes have a finish on them and of course you want the product to stick to the wood as best as possible. Let me know 🙂 Thank you!!
Do you think the strength of the heat gun matters when moving your waves out?? My heat gun is just a small one and I just can’t seem to get the cells or move the waves that far. Thanks for the video 😊
Are these boards food safe or are they just for art? I ask because I'm making my own boards and am getting ready for an upcoming art sale. I intend on putting a disclaimer out to tell customers the boards are just for decoration and NOT to come into contact with food.ya know, safety firsf.
The back, it looks like giant flames. Haha. Not sure if it’s my resin-using mas resin , the white-armoir art ..or heat gun too much pressure or not enough. I have tried everything. I do get cells tho so there’s that. Hahah
I don't like that resin brand.. which one? They have a pro I think that has a longer open time. That's ok still not my thing tho. Can you try stone coat countertops? Just the regular countertop one?
You mentioned were you get your Just Resin pigments, but I couldn't quite catch the name of the supplier, some place in Texas? Could you please let me know, thank you. Love your your work and videos, keep up the awesome work!
Omg!!!! Iv been trying to do waves like yours, they are perfect. Wish you were here to hold my hand through the process!!!!
Frigging beautiful work ❤
Awesome!!! Thanks for share your experience!!!
Thank you so much for doing this video!!
Yes. You go girl! That technique is true genius. Thanks.
I'm just getting my feet wet in resin art/craft/woodwork.
If I may say, that is wonderful, beautiful.

Great tutorial! New sub, loved your explanations and demo!
Nice technique. Pure maker genius!
Love it! Beautiful! Im sure this technique can be expanded to a black and copper that im going to try.
Yes! I love that combo
Thq for sharing your skill. Could you let me know how you prepared the wooden board before pouring? Like did you stain and varnish? Sanded?

Will you teach us how to make flames?

I do sometimes depending on what the client wants.

I use translucent teal dye on the second layer. This adds depth and dimension
This is beautiful work, thank you for sharing.
Great video. Thanks for the info. Subbed fo sho!
Cheers
😁Thanks brother!
When you start to heat up the white with the heatgun is the blue base underneath still wet, or did you wait for it to dry?
:)
Thank you for this nice video
Very welcome
I've stopped using mica powder when doing works like this. Resin dye liquid works so much better. It mixes so much better.
Yes it does!

It’s beautiful work.
I tried same as you did but could not get the cells. Can you tell me why?
What products are you using.??
Love this!! What size is your board?
When you are blowing the waves, are you using room temp air or heat?!?
Heat up do an updated video on this
Bonjour est ce que vous attendez que la résine bleue soit sèche avant de déposer la résine transparente ? Merci
I do not

Always sand off the finish. Or the resin will chip off
@@NitasFluidWoodworks Thank you

Do you sand your boards before pouring the resin?
I usually do

Probably. This was like $20
Morning, question,do you prepare your wood before adding inks to it ❤
Good morning love! I use pastes, and dyes no inks.. and I make sure it's flat and sanded. If it's from the store I take their finish off first!

Hey yeeesssssss, artist til death ☠️
Nita, Do let your wave resin start to thicken before you use it ?
No sir! Only sits as long as it takes to get ready.
