I personally think Crash 2 is the peak of the trilogy. Crash 3 is fantastic and I will always adore it, but I find that the gimmick levels can kinda drag it down a lot on repeat playthroughs, which is something that Crash 2 doesn't really deal with

Truth be told; I haven't played it in years, and never actually put much effort into the harder levels before now haha. And yeah Sunset Vista was a hard one but it was actually Cortex Power and Toxic Waste I got really frustrated about this time. Those crates at the end of the Cortex Power you have to jump on.. getting them all is really hard as the perspective is difficult so you can't really see how far you're jumping. And the barrels.. oh the bouncing barrels ;-;
The final boss in crash 3: a team deathmatch between crash & aku aku vs cortex & uka uka, yet my "teammate" (aku aku) keeps killing me, while uka uka on the other hand is helping his teammate (cortex) with everything.WTF aku aku

@Deinonychus2 respectfully disagree, he was very evil and serious in the first game- minus his appearance, there was nothing funny or stupid about him or his plans. The second game he was still fairly evil. It was #3, where he's too busy being scared of Uka Uka, that he lost his evilness.
This was the best boss fight in the entire series. 2 masks one representing a noble spirit the other a spirit of evil. In the middle of it Crash fighting Cortex.
That was my biggest gripe with most rips of this game: they always ripped with the in-game music volume at full, and that cut out the best part of the final boss theme. I've been fruitlessly searching for the correct version of this song for a long time. Thanks so much for delivering!!
Everytime I think about this theme, I think about The SGB playthrough where Elliot kept getting killed by almost every attack Cortex and Uka-Uka threw at him. Especially the mines.

Twist3r Official I know. The N.Sane trilogy is a great remaster overall, (despite its weird issues,) but the music breaks my heart. It's just tooooo soft, too polished, and lacks the personality the original music had. It's soo sad! But hey......they got the medival level theme right in warped. They got the only track that's almost impossible to screw up right, so good on them.
I feel as if this theme is the perfect mix of the Final Boss themes from the first two games; the darkness & sound of the first game, and the intensity & desperation of the second.
I love this creepy soundtrack. And I was wondering why that track from my album wasn't as exciting as the original in the game... Now I know. THX for upload!
