So I make it to Northern Island on the Harley Davidson Street Glide, I meet up with some followers of the channel who offer to give me a free tattoo and we discuss the IRA in the North and why is Ireland and Northern Island divided. I then head head to the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, not going to be easy to get there !! - ตลก

I really enjoy the men at the tattoo shop. Very interesting comments on their history. " One man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist" very well said. Never thought of it like that.

In reality they were terrorists, just like ISIS. Every country in Europe including IRELAND, proscribed the IRA as a terrorist organisation NOT as freedom fighters. So did the USA and the vast majority of other countries. They, and their members, were a heinous, evil, unrepentant murder squad.

Doesn't make it right though. The IRA planting a bomb in a town centre, blowing up a school bus, gunning down men, women and children at their work, in church or while in their homes is all wrong, its all terrorism.

It's such an awkward conversation. In northern Ireland we've been conditioned not to talk about our personal politics. The uneasiness of those men talking is something anyone here can relate to
I don't blame them. It's not really a conversation I want to go into when I care about riding Motorcycles. Big fan of the channel but asking questions like " what were the IRA" sounds like pandering to a 16 year old American with no historical knowledge. No way Danny is that clueless about their origin or beliefs either. Keep that politics away from bikes.
I think Danny was just looking for a reaction for content and instead should have focused on the great Irish people and his adventures. Not Danny's greatest moment.
@@anthonyr587 Bullocks.....I moved to America 30 years ago and have travelled to all 4 corners.Met plenty of 60 year olds who proudly proclaim their Irish heritage.....99% of them couldn't tell you who,what and why the IRA exist.And they also get that dumb look when you say N.Ireland(forget about saying Ulster).Go ahead....next time you meet an educated American ask about INLA,UVF,UFF,UDA....same look you'll get as that uneducated 16 year old.I guess you know all about The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam and can explain their cause and why they were formed? If you'd asked that in West Belfast you would have got a very different reaction, but those guys were very tactful. I had a friend killed by the IRA back in the 80's while we were on patrol, the place is totally unrecognisable today and for the better. Can't wait to see the rest of the Irish tour and then onto the US, it's been excellent as always Danny

Danny, I'm sure that you've heard of the old stuff your wet boots with newspaper. Well it actually works very well. Just get some newspaper and stuff it tightly in your boots. Check it in a few hrs and change out if soaked. But can leave it overnight and your boots well be plenty dry the next morning. Believe me I've used this trick when got caught riding in A tropical storm in northern Florida southern Georgia. Stay dry and safe my friend. Thanks for the great videos of Ireland travels.

Danny, when you get stuck in the rain with your boots are soaking wet, when you get to the hotel find some newspaper. Crumple up the newspaper and shove a lot inside the boot, wait a few mins then pull it out and do the process again with fresh newspaper. Keep doing that until the newspaper is not wet anymore, (only takes a few times), then with no more newspaper open the boots up as much as you can and it will dry out over night. Won't need hairdryers

Shit Danny ya stopped before you got to the carrik-a-rede rope bridge spoke to an old farmer boy years ago in the northern part of the country who used to cross the bridge on his pushbike when it was only planks of wood held up by the ropes .that part of the country is stunning been there umpteen times both North and the South brilliant times had in both parts stay safe ride free🏴🏍🏍👍
You should have been to that bridge 30 years ago......it was real ropes and real wooden steps......sister scared the bejesus out of me.Absolutely loving this series brother!!!!
I might be mistaken but I believe the Street Glide has air adjustable suspension. You just need a small hand air pump (from harley) and you could adjust the ride.
