Looks like you were taking full advantage of your North Carolina trip Joe! Those sections looked stupid fast and plenty slippery, great job with the video and staying upright
Bikes Trails and Greenways Thanks! I tried to. Had a crash in a rock garden the following day, but finished out the weekend. It’s fast but the trail wasn’t slippery. Pretty good grip.
It's very different. Most of Pisgah (that i've ridden) is dirt and roots. Most of DuPont (that i've ridden) is more like slick rock and dirt with some roots. The Stokesville ride on Wolf Ridge is pretty similar to the Crest. Minus the Rocky Mtn views and elevation. Both are outstanding. Though, i don't think there is a trail on the east coast that can give you the same amount of DH as the Crest can. I guess the bottom line is.... I like riding bikes. :D
This one isn't public yet. But i think it's linked to the Trailforks site already and since it's in a play list, it shows up for those poking around. Kind of weird. If Alex does a van video on Thursday, i'll make this one public. :)
@Mr Tonka Really awsome humid descent and nice kept up with Seth😜. I heard you complaining about fogging up your glasses. I've now ridden with some photochromic mtb glasses from a british company. The glasses are called Rad8 Mudhugger 504 and are about 115 USD. I've used them in all sorts of weather from cold to steaming hot 95 degree F. Hands down the BEST and cheapest eyeprotection i've ever used. Just as an inspiration 😉. BTW what's the verdict on your rear triancle on that Yeti?
Mr Tonka Glad to hear that you can get back out on your own bike - not much beat riding your own perfect dialed in rig 😏. Tho that descents on the Canyon looked quite funny. Mabey a more enduro style bike in the neae future? 😉😂. If so and looking at the european brands then Commencal and Bird MTB would be something.
Love it!!! What a great time! Hope the toe is healing up quick 👍
Damn bro, u were killing it
Thanks man. Sad that i'm going to miss his fall trip this year. :(
Pisgah is awesome! Thanks for this vid. Brings back great memories. You and Seth were definitely flying.
Good times in deed! Wish i could make the Nov trip. Hope you’re going to keep the streak alive on your end!
I’m going again. Hard to miss considering how close I live. We’ll certainly miss you on the trip.
Great...thanks for highlighting this trail. Will have to check it out!
I need me a trip to Pisgah soon! Haven't gotten to explore any of this section of the Forest. Great riding Joe, you were ripping in those conditions.
Thanks dude! So differnt from Colorado, but still so good! :)
Nice! Wish I was on that trip
Sick ride!
Thanks dude!!
Mr Tonka I need to ride with you sometime when you are back in Florida.
Huck yeah! My MTB day is Saturday mornings. :)
Mr Tonka ok I’ll have to change from Sunday morning to Saturday. How often do you go to santos?
Maybe, once every 2 months or so.
Thought those roots looked familiar. Luckily my buddy yelled "ride on the right side top of the roots". LOL

Nice video again Joe. The trail looked quite fast in some sections, seemed like Seth was flying over the rocks!!
Thanks Emile! He's fast! That's for sure. And yeah, the trail goes! :)
Hey Joe!! Great Job staying right behind Seth
ivan pina Yo! Thanks. I was just trusting his line and speed. Turned out well. 👍
After all the vertical you rode in Colorado last weekend how does NC compare?

Mr Tonka haha, you should have been a politician. Good shit and I loved the video. I guess I need to make my way out east to ride.
:D You won't be disappointed.
Nice video, again. Looks like a great ride! Makes you want to go for sure.
FLORIDA JACK You should! 😬
Love that trail. Ended up doing that descent on accident. Ended up being a good one. Think that was my first pisgah ride.
It's a great first Pisgah ride!!
That looks like my type of trail, nice riding Tonka
pknark Fast and a bit chunky. It was good fun!
When Seth takes off, man he just goes!
Yep, you make one wrong move and he's gone. :)
He was out of there lol
Follow Seth and you will get better quickly ! Great riding and video!
Eric Sharp that’s the truth! Thanks! 👍
Seth’s strategy, no matter the conditions, “I’m just going to white knuckle this.” Nice job keeping up.
lol That's the truth. He said that several times over the weekend. haha Thanks!
Nice riding. You guys were flying in some of those sections.
Twitchy Nick Thanks! It was a lot easier hugging Seth’s wheel. Haha
good run!
Thanks! I had some good lines to follow. :)
Great video. Mr. Tonka, who makes the Garmin mount you have on your stem? looks solid. Thanks
zimmermandk Thanks! K Edge is the manufacturer. They have a few options. Good gear too! 👌
Always good, always worth the visit. Nice job kid, cheers!
Cool video. You had a couple of really good saves! Dont know how I missed this one. Dont remember seeing the notification...

Nice riding man. That's one trail I missed when I was up there. Next time.
Florida Trailrider It’s a good one. You can get lots of speed! 🤘
is that rear triangle fixed already? :-) just subscribed today Joe! very late than never!
Yasss!
Is this before the downhill bike park or after? Did the Yeti survived?
Haha. This is before Snowshoe. No Yetis were harmed in the making of this video. 😬
Looks like fun!
CZ Speed Trace Ridge is a blast!
@Mr Tonka

Thor Jensen Sweet, I’ll take a look at them. 👍 the rear triangle has arrived and I hope to have her rolling after this weekend. Thanks!
Mr Tonka

That Canyon was great! But likely too big for 90% of the riding i do. We'll see what's next... it won't be for a while though. :)
This must've been before of all of the rain
Yep, it was pretty much the weekend all the rain started. We got special permission from the trail boss to ride it in these conditions. :)
