Today I share my Saturday crafting plans where we took a trip to Alexandra Palace to visit the @TOFT_uk Metamorphosis exhibition!

Thank you so much for posting things like this. I'm disabled now, and can't get out much at all. I hate that I miss all the lovely yarny shows and exhibitions, so being able to watch them is really fantastic for people like me!

I saw Toft at the Edinburgh Yarn Festival back in 2018, and loved their designs, but we don't get to see them in the US. Thank you for the tour and your Vlogtober posts.
Interesting. I'm intrigued by architecture and fascinated that the round window at 3:50 has the same colours as one of my shawls.
Speaking of shawls, I've been doing myself psychological injury looking at how far all these knitters have gotten already on their MKAL shawls as I'm a slow knitter feeling like I'm running among the dregs at the tail end of a knit marathon. I started dreaming last night that I was watching your vlog at how proud you felt about getting yours finished this weekend (while I'm still chugging away), then Monday comes along and your face drops as Stephen says "Hey people, it's Monday so I have a surprise extra clue for you". 😰
I’m just loving this year’s Vlogtober! I started with you last year with my first MKAL and I feel like we are best knitting friends 🥰 I’m knitting on Clue 1 while I’m watching, and I’m so relieved I’m not the only one behind 😅 I’m going to try your idea of timing how long it takes me to do a repeat and see if that will let me estimate how much more knitting time I need. I’ve got just 8 contrast stripes so I’m probably not going to finish before the next clue drops tomorrow, but I’m trying not to stress! Thank you for all the giggles you give me while I’m knitting away 🥰 we can do this! #InStephenWeTrust

Martyn, this show is massive!! It reminds me of the One of a Kind show held twice yearly at the Exhibition grounds in Toronto, Ontario. The Toft display is impressive… it must have taken them hours to put it together🥹 I can’t wait to see your acquisitions after this show❤️

Martyn thanks for bringing us along with you….glad to know they had a map! The benefits of knitting and crochet are just enormous aren’t they? Maybe ice and a gin and tonic for that injury? ( ice for the arm-gin for the…you get the idea) Gotta get that healthy before the next clue. Look forward to the next video….I love Vlogtober!
Sorry, that’s blog, the Toft metamorphosis is wonderful/ because of television and human nature , mental illness is misunderstood and still a terrible stigma. And wonderful how they are supporting mindfulness. In the US I find a lot of people think of knitting etc, as a silly waste of time. Not that there arent tons of talented crafters, but every time someone sees me knitting they invariably say “oh, that’s cute, are you making a blanket?” It’s maddening , it seems that in Europe it’s s better crafting environment- anyway loved this episode, can ‘t wait for next installment!!

My dad had a madras shirt like yours. It's stored, but I think I need to pull it out and wear it. I'm smaller, and a woman, but it's so lovely with that shawl.

I'm adoring this vlogtober! Fairly new to you- caught your August roundup I think. I'm a long term toftie! I mostly crochet but starting to knit a little, I'm obsessed with marks jumper! I also can't wait to see the MKAL twist! So intrigued!

I was there last year and there was very little yarn. It was geared mostly towards quilting and sowing. I was not impressed
