It’s the Shin moment for me. The black knights were talking so much shit at that earlier when Shin was piloting the Justice. Shin said himself, the Justice hold him back, but when he got back the Destiny, it was over for them. Also so some scenes that I thought that were cool was Kiara’s and Shin’s double attack on a Destroy Gundam and Lunamaria getting the Impulse back
When Athrun first distracts Shura by thinking of Cagalli, he hides the fact that Cagalli is doing remote control. It confuses Shura later when Athrun thinks left and goes right, showing the genius of having that remote control. It was a perfect reminder of Cagalli being a piloting genius and Athrun being overall an intelligent fighter. I loved that entire sequence. Also Athrun in the Strike Freedom was a great moment. He piloted it so smoothly that they didn't even realize it wasn't Kira. Perfectly done.
My guy Athrun is a super chad, he knew the weakness of the black knights, displayed lewd thoughts to his opponent, and knock some sense into jesus yamato.
when the black knight squad tried to use their mind read ability on Shinn but then realize his mind is too messed up because of past trauma and it doesn't work was the most hilarious scene in the movie . everyone in the theater was bustling with laughter me included when Stella come out to jumpscare them. Shinn has a lot of comedic moments in the movie. i love him!
For me it’s actually the character development we get for Kira. His break down and subsequent realization that he can’t do anything alone was a huge moment for the character.
Kira and Lacus becoming unsure of their convictions since the end of Seed Destiny was random and regressed everything they did in Seed Destiny. The Love stuff in the whole film was dumb but especially between Kira and Lacus. If they spent a single moment of dialog to have Kira express it was Rey who made the decision between Freedom vs the Destiny Plan, then it would have at least retconned better how Kira became such a wuss in Seed Freedom. It should have been Shinn who smacked him around instead of Athrun.
My favorite moment is when Meteor by T.M Revolution started playing....hearing it on the big screen once again really got me emotional; together with the montage from Kira and Shinn, it was a feast.
As much as I hated Shinn in Seed Destiny.. he was definitely awesome in the movie. Also the scene where Athrun was fighting the Black Knights cracked me up- 😂
Shin in SEED Destiny was the result of constant mind control but Durandal and Rey, they put a lot of burden onto him. In SEED Freedom, no one mind control him anymore, he was free, and his berserker fighting style was much stronger compare to how he was in SEED Destiny. He is an example of a chained beast finally broke free from his chains.

Kira! Hands down the best character. Not only he is the super coordinator, but from his abrupt entry into the war avoiding the take over of the Gundam Strike to his full development to understand the ultimate goal of peace. He is at every mayor event tipping the balance in battles but also leading with flawless support. He is the lead, the rest are supporting.
The thing is that the Destiny did not even get a single damage given the fact that Shinn faced 4 mind readers at the same time. He was also monitoring Lunamaria and the Impulse while fighting the 4 black knights. Fucking OP. But, even though I'm a Shinn fan, Arthrun really is the best pilot of the CE era. He is unbeatable the moment he activates SEED. Well maybe additional factor is that the Aegis and the forms of Justice are the most powerful MS in their respective time frames.
I only saw several ships, Cal-Res dragoons and missiles taken down by MSFs mega lightning attack. Those are my favourite moments too. But Shinn raging is my favourite
I wish the movie was a two parter. The movie we saw should have been part 2 because a lot of the story that was in the book started a few months before the movie, which explains why Kira wasn't using the Strike Freedom and was using the Rising Freedom and why they were built. I am glad we got the movie after 20 years, and i loved the movie. TLDR, if you are going to read the book, stop reading after this point. If you your still reading, you have been warned, or you don't care, so let us continue. Foundation covertly stole the Strike Freedom and went on a rampage. It was then disabled by Shura in his black knight. The foundation was able to get all the data on the Strike Freedom and created a mobile suit based on it. Orphee's machine. Which is how they knew how to fight the Strike Freedom type 2. This is how they knew if they kept bombarding the Strike Freedom with missiles, it would cause the core to overheat and shut down. Which is what happened. They didn't know anything about the Proud Defender because it was being built on the Millennium, which hadn't been back to the plants for months. So, I can't counter or deal with it because they had no data on it's functions. I will leave 3 of my favorite moments as well. Shinn completely takes out 3 of the Black Knights with the Destiny, Kira called out Orpee in his fight, and Athrun called Shura "You really are useless." That was something i expected Char Aznabel to say. But it was such a insult to Shura they way he reacted was perfect.
Just watched it in the cinema yesterday. I think I'm getting old. I was kinda sleepy about 15 mins of the film (didn't sleep though), but things got better. There were a couple of cheese scenes, but not too bad. The ending was full action, but many things just popped outta nowhere without setup. The good guys just suddenly had many secret/ultimate weapons just to finish the battle. Akatsuki suddenly popped out to destroy the big-gun (forgot the name), Destiny suddenly comes with a super big gun, Zeus. Destiny suddenly has cloning capability, etc. But they made Shin okay this time.
my favourite part is the mighty strike freedom appearance and destiny spec2 vs all the black knights.I also won't forget about the song,goosebumps everytime
Mine would that, Kira actually got character development that was lacking in destiny. Kira was always the most interesting character in seed. But his moment in destiny was mostly ruin by the plot.
Well I probably watch to much Gundam series since the moment I saw the Zgok I knew that it's going to do the purging gimmick and it's still heart raising even knew it's Coming😂❤
Honestly, when I looking at the IJ type 2, I feels like it’s more like a successor of the Justice than the old IJ. I mean the armor shape kinda similar to Justice

But Athrun pulling a Sei Iori blew my mind when I saw it xD (not sure if there have been other instances of a gundam being hidden inside another mobile suit in earlier series but either way fire moment)
SPOILERS!!!! When the airship dodge the laser and use the impact to launch themselves into space. Athruns infinite plot twist to combat the situation. A gundam in disguised, remote control, perverted thoughts, switching gundams.
Lets be honest, Kira and Lacus love struggles was the dumbest part of the story. And how Kira regressed from being confident in his decisions in the whole of Seed Destiny till the very end to crying about "Love" was stupid. That made anything related to Kira and Mighty Strike Freedom lose all credibility of being cool. Shinn simping Kira was dumb but at least his convictions didnt waver. Also, I love how confident Shinn was with his piloting skills and took that "I'll kick all them black knight @sses in Destiny" energy to the fullest and even dissing Justice and refueling Impulse while he did so. His nickname, Freedom Killer, felt like a nod to Athrun in Seed Destiny who was known as the pilot to defeat the Strike Gundam.
Spoilers: One of my favorite scenes is when shin was fighting the black knights and overpowering them with the destiny spec2. He said he is different now cause he is not using the justice gundam. When i heard that it screams "SKILL ISSUE". Look at athrun in the early stage using zgok he is somewhat managing holding of the enemy.
Seed was already a bed rehash of the original series, using more copy paste animation then even the original but then it just got worse with Destiny in which Kira literally stole the MC spot form Shin because he was a failed protagonist. Then Destiny tried using overt nostalgia tactics by stealing suit designs from the original series and it looks like Seed Freedom turns that up even more. And with the over the top fantasy level powers of the Gundam’s at this point can it even be called a real robot show anymore? That’s some super robot bullshit at this point

Its progression and the technology around it has a huge depth of in-universe explanation. 00 also took its time to explain the particle dynamics in its universe. Like how the fake GN drives particles were toxic while the real ones were transformative. I’m not asking for research studies level of scientific knowledge here, but hand waved explanations and or no explanation of tech and abilities is just lazy writing and Seed is full of Mary Sue power scaling problems like this.
