- In this video, I will show you my recommended settings for sublimation printing from an Epson printer, using the standard Epson driver. I currently use an Epson-8550 Printer for my sublimation printing.

I used to use an Epson ET-2550 th-cam.com/users/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 , an early model of the ink tank style. It worked well, but had one nuisance that drove me up the wall; if you didn't put it in high quality print mode you'd get a streak across the page. I'm happy to say I have yet to see this with this printer. The print quality has been fantastic so far, the set up was super easy. All in all I'm very happy with this printer.

Question, my sublimation shirts fade really bad after just one wash and I can’t figure out why. Have you ever had that issue?
I have not. but what shirt type are you using? that matters for sure.
my printer settings on my computer does not have the option for presentation paper matte. What do I choose? I only have the option for plain paper, photo paper, glossy paper, photo paper (semi-gloss), photo paper (high-gloss), or envelope plain.
I would try photo paper then .
I have this same printer but when I do 13x19 prints, it keeps smearing. I’ve cleaned the printer head and all. What should I do?
Make sure you're settings match and are correct. that has happened to me before as well.

yes, you should be able too. I never used a RIP.
My question is since you have the extra ink colors does that sublimation printer now print out white?
No, Epson ET8550 does not print in white.

Can someone help me! I have an Epson 8550. I also have an HTVRONT Auto Heat Press. I have bought all kind of sublimation paper. When I print onto the paper and heat tape it down on any poly fabric and heat press it, the image does not transfer. I set the heat press at 385 for 60 seconds. I have tried various temperatures and time but nothing ever transfers. I am wondering what am I missing?
I have a sublimation printer full of ink, a new heat press, sublimation paper, sublimation transfer coating spray, and HTV Vinyl Matte.
Any help would be appreciated! I have tried three times at this point and it must be going over my head. What am I doing wrong?

I just bought an ePSON 8550 and put sublimation ink in it. I bought L and C sublimation ink that is made for Epson but the colors are terrible. I have tried everything. Do you think it is my ink?
Play printer is printing different colors. What I mean by that is green it’s coming out blue and somebody with blonde hair. It is like highlighted like a bright orange color.
I have this same printer and I don’t have any of those options for printing:( I use a Mac not sure if that changes things.

I have this printer. You’ll get even better color if you use Adobe RGB instead of letting the printer default. I also use Koala paper and Cosmos ink.

Please help, when you change the setting to manual and select Adobe RGB, do you change the gamma to 1.8 or leave it to 2.2? thanks in advance for your response.

Hello, thanks for the video. I have a question, if I have already refilled the ink tanks of my Epson et 8550 printer with the ink that comes from the factory. Can I refill the ink tanks with sublimation ink?
You can but you will need to remove the other ink fully. Ive seen some people use a syringe

Thank you. Enjoyed your video tremendously. No need to contact back I just wanted to say THANK YOU. I just received my second Epson wide-format printer and have to watch my budget severely so I don't want to make too many mistakes. My main takeaway was to make sure the two settings matched (laptop print dialogue and the LED printer screen.) I haven't dealt with a screen on the printer before and thus may have ignored matching the two. TY

When printing from Design Space...should we have bleed on or off? I'm trying to google the differences or the reasons for bleed but not getting much clarity.

I just got an Epson 3830 and all my prints are green-ish. I keep getting an error that my paper isn't matching the settings. I've tried the Presentation Matte and others. Does anyone else have the green print issue? Thanks for the video, it got me asking the right questions instead of returning the printer after all the setup.
If it is saying that the paper does not match, that means you need to set up your computer settings to match your printer settings. then it should work fine!
I also use cosmos and silhouette! It has been two years with NO issues and now all of a sudden I have terrible lines in my prints. I have black printing into my red and such. My colors are printing with lines but black works fine. I have tried everything, and I mean everything!!!! Nozzle checks, cleanings, new maintenance box, etc. Nothing is working. Help!! Any tips???

I just leave them as is. Whatever the standard is; thats what mine is on

You are so awesome you did not waste my time got straight to the point. You're my new friend I just sub, liked and downloaded this video so that I can always have this as reference I quit searching Epson tutorials since that company doesn't even have dedicated youtube tutorials that I was able to find that was as helpful as this. So many people are annoying with A.I. tutorials of Power point presentations so I can appreciate you even more for showing me hands on of what I'm doing and not even know how this printer worked from this video I learned all that I needed to know for the purposes of why I bought this overpriced box

Eva I never sublimated before I have a HTVRont and I want to sublimate canvas artwork do you have any tutorials on how to do that craft plus my A sub paper is not transferring over after that I heat press it for 60's @ 400 temp please any help would be appreciated I have some donations that I want to make for charities and there's something that I'm not doing right but I don't know again why the ink is not transferring over

Another question I’m sorry , I recently purchased the same glossy paper as in your Amazon , to make Caprisun labels but for some reason on my epson 2760 it keeps getting jammed and I keep putting my setting as glossy but still no luck ),:
Flatten the paper under something heavy for a day or so. That helps

No. I have two printers. This one is for sublimation. The other one is for regular printing where I can make water bottle and capri sun labels :)

Do you not need to put anything in between the heat press and the sublimation paper like you have in past videos?
Yes you should! I didn’t even realize I forgot on this video. It protects your heat plate. Because ink does release from the top as well. I always use parchment paper

No you cannot. you will have to use sublimation ink

I don’t think you can print from your iPhone but I’m not 100% sure on that.
I am following your settings but my colors are off. for example the pink looks more red than pink. Thoughts?
