Fifty metres beneath the world’s largest metropolis - the Japanese capital, Tokyo - is an amazing underworld river system. 6.4km of tunnels, colossal water tanks, massive pillars and giant pumps are part of an immense coordinated effort to pump floodwaters out into Tokyo Bay, and protect the city’s 35 millions inhabitants from devastating floods. But with year-round heavy rains seeming increasingly frequent, Tokyo’s flood management - already the most advanced in the world - is being pushed to even greater lengths to protect the population. Mark Horstman goes underground to explore the gargantuan underground world of Tokyo’s flood defence systems.

Honestly, if the Japanese citizens would learn to populate, then they'll be fine. And, it would be great for Western cultures to learn from their love for architecture and engineering, we'll need the Japanese when we go to the moon again, mars and beyond.

+Tralala T Your honestly stupid pal. For one, if you paid attention to the video, it says that the both genders are freaked out to touch the other. And two, my Japanese are even saying that both genders are chickening out when it comes to relationships with the opposite gender. (FYI, they are married to beautiful Japanese girls). There are Japanese citizens who aren't afraid to be touched, but it's few and far in between. All over the world, there are young couples with families, that includes Japan as well.

Stephen Babcock well, my experience of living with a bunch of japanese college kids prove otherwise :). They are pretty kinky when it comes to sex, but they're afraid to catch feeling LITERALLY. because feeling would lead to marriage and eventually >> kids, which in the japanese culture is A LOT of pressure. So yea, thats my point, or atleast thats what my japanese friends said.

if building cities causes guerilla rainstorms, what causes west and north africas in barren landscapes?

There is no easy answer to that question. You need to research the difference between regional geographic features as they relate to regional weather phenomena. Not all cities create "guerilla rain storms. Tokyo does because it is such a massive city which creates its own weather by creating a heat island effect which increases humidity and that can enhance the high precipitation that occurs in the area.
