Was your problem going up or down the stairs?

Great video, thanks for sharing. I have two ACL/Meniscus repairs and recently started playing soccer again at 42 years old. More recently after playing I am having a lot of stiffness/soreness/pain in my outer knee. I can almost for sure attribute this to weak and tight glut muscles which is due to an L5 disc herniation on that side. I am so happy I now understand what I need to do in order to fix this problem, you rock!

You saved the day. It's been months since I've been able to squat with heavy weights, so will definitely work this into my rehab. Thank you!

How is your pain now? Did these mobility exercises work?

I have seen lots of info on the stability part, but this is the first I've found on the mobility part. Looking forward to adding these stretches and hoping it helps with my knee pain. Thank you!

Sigh, will integrate that in my rehab from knee replacement too. And try to look after my slipped disc at the same time. Oh, and not to forget to build muscles again. It seems like an endless, frustrating circle to get back to walking properly - and hopefully without pain one day. 🥺

@@physiorehab Thanks for encouragement! I will not forget about the exercise! Just have to postpone it trying to recover from toe surgery (hallux arthrodesis). I hope that I get a break then from all these friggin medical interventions… 🥺

My knee pains after running for 500meter. And it is sharp pain in outer side of knee. The pain goes away after resting for 24-48hours...but i find it very diffcult to bend my knee

@@nixonrodrigues8452 No sir, I have stopped running completely. It been over 2 months since I went on my last jog/run. Now I only walk 2 to 3 km. I don't take any more risk. I research a lot it seems like a IT band issue and requires a lot of physiotherapy.

for the pigeon stretch what do you do if it causes the knee pain to come back the way that you are doing it? maybe blocks somehow to support where the knee is?

Hi! I don't have pain, but knee gets stiff and standing or walking a while. That being said, lateral movements are painful. I have a minor meniscus tear, meniscus bulging slightly. I can't afford a physion. Could this advice be applicable to me? I sit down all day in my job.

Perhaps have a look at my rehab programs instead at physiorehab.com. 12 months program is cheaper than one physio visit for you!

I find that the glute medium is one of the most stubborn muscles in my lower half😊 that thing doesn’t want to work! At least I don’t feel it working. I am now dominant in glutes, and able to stabilize my knees, but all work is done by the glute max. Is there an effective way to feel the glute med engaging? Can I train it everyday?
