This game story is an adaptation of the most popular mythological novel in China called "Journey to the West", look it up, it's incredible and i can't wait for this game, looks so good
@@MMAirdropKing bro, Buddha have many kinds and tittles, Wukong was got one of them at the end of journey. Remember, this is Chinese mythology not western mythology
TL;DR warning As a Chinese, have been abroad learning and working for 9 years, I'd say this straight to my dear fellow gamers, especially the none Chinese culture brushed ones face, there are more than 1.5 billion people watching or reading Four Classic Novels growing up, one of the novel is called Journey to the West, and its main character is Sun WuKong. The novel has been operalized for hundreds of years among generations of Chinese, and some other Asian countries as well. In modern times, it's been televisionlized by China Central Television 2 times(1982 and 1986 ver.), cartoonlized 1 time(1999 ver.), which from the 80s to the Beijing Olympics time they are still airing from time to time. To me and my friends of similar age in the circle, the 1986 and 1999 ver. were what we were watching growing up. To our parents and grandparents, those are what they were watching when turning old. And there are countless other versions of the Televisionlized and cartoonlized Journey to the West. But there were no versions of Journey to the West that successfully told the fundamentals of the world of Journey to the West to the West, probably until now. And there was no good game telling the story (in its own interesting way) of Journey to the West, probably until now. So, you probably had no idea previously but starting to get it now, this game, is like so many Chinese gamers' and game creators' dreams come true. Those people mostly grew during 80s to early 2000s, so this is like, Marvel movies to you fellow Western gamers. Funny fact, Chinese are sensitive about Japan due to historical reasons(you can look it up), but when Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball passed, lots of Chinese especially ACG(anime, comic, game) guys paid respects. Akira Toriyama in his early years was somewhat obsessed with Chinese culture, and to us, he's vocal about China and Japan fixing their relationship through culture. So, to some degree, the Dragon Ball is like an olive branch to many Chinese. Cus, Sun Wukong, Son Goku, sounds familiar? Yep, that's how the Japanese pronounce 孙悟空, the main character. 如意金箍棒, short as 如意棒, Ru Yi Bang, Nyoi-bō, in Journey to the West, it can go big go small go long go short and maintain its original weight(old god figure use it to calm the sea down just by planting it into the seabed, using its sheer size and weight), in Dragon Ball it's somewhat nerfed, it's not so heavy and can't go big or small, just can go long or short. 筋斗云, Jin Dou Yun, Kinto'un, in Journey to the West, it's a kind of magic that helps you to ride clouds, in Dragon Ball, it's more like a cloud pet, moves fairly fast and carries people. Any doubt, just look it up. You know some already, great, hope you will know more about them and want to know more. BTW, strongly suggest go ask your Chinese friend about all mentioned above, they probably know more, and are more than happy to tell you all about the novel, the culture and more. Happy journey!
Jei doesn't seem to be into anything that's not GTA 6. I've already seen GTA 5 times before, but I've never seen this mythology done on this level so I'm definitely more excited about Wukong. The hype up to now was kind of necessary since this is the first major game by a relatively unknown studio. So far the reviews are suggesting some bugs but hopefully they address them before launch.
Glad that you guys are interested in this game, Plz remember that this game is made by a 140ish employees studio, it might not be as polished as other games made by other bigger studios. Plz tune your expectation down, and enjoy!!!
Im getting it. Im glad that they didn't reveal any story stuff. Also, i think they have gone overboard with marketing because: 1. To prove that the game exists and is coming out 2. To please the Chinese audience by showing the authenticity of the each NPC/Characters
@@blackmanta2527 the first trailer that blew up was meant for recruitment. The dev at that time had no options but to release that one to attract talents
72 transformations and fighting 81 bosses! The last scene, the Four Heavenly Kings, WOW. During the game, after Sun Wukong beats the bosses, he can absorb their abilities or acquire their weapons as his. During fighting with other bosses, he can transform into the bosses he absorbed before and use their unique abilities. The 72 transformation and 81 devils are coming from the original Chinese Mythology, Journey To The West. I don't think Game Science will implement all of them, because it won't be practical for players to manipulate that many forms and abilities.
Dont know what guy on right has been doing but all I get is wukong ads lol, marketing campaign was nuts. And since the first showing it has consistently got better, it might just not be your thing and thats cool

Let’s not forget that the team that built this game is about 20 or less personnel in total. A small company with high potential.
You must have outdated information because their team has been expanded to around 130 people…
Im ready to fight the heavenly army and go wild.
this game has lived up to the hype. great game and no woke bullshit

This is why I hate early announcements?
Overboard? seem like they release trailers once every two years.
I'd rather see the game update every year. And they didn't raise donations, did they? The team worked very hard to make the game

It was hilarious watching Jay and Raven come around and admitting the trailer was fire LOL! Sam was feeling it - shit looks amazing! Gotta admit

For all your questions about gameplay, there was a gameplay video if you guys wanna check it out.
Kinda worried bcs of the reviews.. several bugs and glitch... ps5 has no reviews nor code.. gosh, wishing the best for wukong
Apparently there will be a day 1 patch that will fix all the issues people are having.
