An upcoming action adventure RPG from Chinese developer Game Science. This is our first look at Black Myth: Wukong running on UE5 at 4K/60FPS. Ancient Chinese mythology is insaaaanely deep and complex, which is why it has inspired so many other works across Asia. I'm so hyped and glad to see an original game based off of Chinese mythology coming straight from China and hopefully this will be the first stepping stone for more bigger games to come. The untapped market there has so much potential.

Just a bit heads up...
1. Don't expect the boss fight to be just as easy as in the trailer, the Dev have said that the character stats in the trailer is modded for the show (With locked HP when hit by massive damage, extended skill/transformation duration...etc), so it's is not balanced, that means those 1 hit take down of boss or taking lots of hits without lose too much HP will not be in the game.
2. The Dev do bits and pieces of development update on their site, but you need to understand Chinese to be able to read them... But there are clips as well tho...
3. The stone carving and statues are modeled off real life site in China...
4. Direct information from the Dev, BMWK will be a trilogy, this is just the first game...
It's going to be a trilogy? Well, that answers my query because I was thinking that the scope of the story and game looks too massive to be explored in just one game.
@@mayank945 I frogot to add, Dev also said there will be no microtransaction, but will have DLCs, and cosmetic packs will be purely cosmetic, no change of character stats will be applied to cosmetic items.

Apart from the graphic and technology stuff, my favorite part of it is that the team has put so much effort to get the original details of the book into this game - that makes it EPIC!!!!!!!!! It's a whole universe guys! All the monsters, gods, fairies, weapons, skills......loving it! CANNOT wait to have it!

All the backgrounds and scenes, as well as narratives and related music, can be traced back to Chinese mythology and related records. These seem like real history. I am looking forward to these and hope that players from other countries can learn about the historical myths behind them if they are interested.

=> The story does say that Sun Wukong ends up imprisoned inside of it after defying the gods out of arrogance.
You can even hear some thumping if you listen close enough ! Which means Wukong is most likely stuck inside.

This game will be an 'Epic Store EXCLUSIVE' ONLY game! Surely, it has to be exclusively financed by Epic to some large degree as it is also running on their prime estate, the Unreal Engine 5, that's not even commercially out, nor available. Regardless, the game will sell like dope if the gameplay mechanics are anywhere close to being intuitive.

No, Epic did not financed GameScience directly, they are just providing tech support, since Tencent has actually financed the studio, but only 5% share, and not allowed to interfere the game development, it's written in the contract. The main financing is from HeroGames which is their own company.

I heard the white dragon was actually the prince of Long (Dragon) palace, and he was asked to wait here for Tang seng to join the journel.

This evade system looks a lot like in Nier: Automata which I loved. Very excited for this game. Let's just hope this is the game we will get.

@@TheCyberNerdsGaming Very few I've played. Final Fantasy XV comes close, but Nier:Automata wins in the smoothness category. Evading those big hits is going to be very satisfying by the looks of it.

Most people don't know. The loong dragon of the thunder white will become a horse in future to carry the shifu of wukong.
The dragon was the prince of Loong Palace, and this is just his dragon form while he could actually turn into human form.

The in game translation doesn't translate its meaning to its fullest. The game developer need a better translator. Else the game may sound just another monster lore not an epic storyline
