Pizzaz was hatin' on Jem from the beginning of the series, and for no justifiable reason. This is one of the few times that I can honestly say that I really empathize with her though.

JhomasE Riot was a self absorbed jackass who looked out only for his own benefit, no on else. So, technically, Pizzazz and Jem were both better off without him in their lives - but I digress. By weaseling in and stealing Riot from PIzzazz when Pizzazz was trying to woo Riot makes Jem a home wrecking opportunist - at least in the business sense, as she was only interested in having Riot sign up to Starlight Entertainment (the romantic competition a little later). So, even though Pizzazz is a royal bitch; Jem isn't exactlymuch better for pulling her stunt, either.
Madame Fluffy Jem was not perfect but she is far better than Pizzaz could ever be. Pizzaz was nearly heartless. With all the crap The Misfits pulled, Jem doing what she did was not that big of a deal in comparison.
Jem was always so worried she'd lose Rio if he found out the truth but I don't think Riot would've reacted any better. He basically got played by Jem/Jerrica. I think that would piss him off.

In this uploaded clip above, from an episode called "The Stingers Hit Town - Part I, Jerrica/Jem has created even more drama by pursing Riot (lead singer of The Stingers), supposedly for business. However, Riot makes his attraction towards Jerrica/Jem clear and after some distruction at banquet for which Jem and The Holograms were being honored, Jerrica/Jem leaves Rio and her band mates and drives off in her car with Riot. Also, in this episode, we get to see Jem/Jerrica give a somewhat half-hearted attempt at trying to get Riot to sign with Jerrica's record company as Riot flirts with Jerrica/Jem and kisses her and she appeared to be responding to his kiss. Even as a kid, I felt the JEM cartoon seemed more like a daytime soap. And like soaps, you had those characters you loved and those you hated. Even as a kid, I REALLY started to dislike Jerrica/Jem and thought of her as a two timing stank, lol. First, I felt it was wrong of Jerrica not tell Rio, a trusted friend/boyfriend Jerrica had known since they were children, that she was in fact, Jem. There was absolutely no reason for Jerrica to withhold this important information from Rio. And what's more, Jerrica started this whole confusing situation, appearing more and more in her Jem hologram form and hanging around and flirting with Rio and then Jerrica had the nerve to wonder if Rio really loves her any more (she sings a song: "Who is he kissing?" about this very issue in an earlier episode)???!!!! At first, Rio was confused and fighting his growing attraction for Jem. However, EVERY SINGLE TIME he wanted to be with Jerrica and sought her out for dates and outings, she was no where to be found because, unbeknown to him, Jerrica was being Jem. And so of course, with Jerrica/Jem encouraging a flirtatious friendship with Rio, he began to fall for Jem. For a toon, this series had an definite air of maturity that most likely wouldn't be in today's animations.
Would be so cool if Britta like Samantha did with the honda commercial. would do some youtube performances of these old songs for the fans. Maybe in honor of the movies opening.

Its on Netflix and Hasbro did reruns of it when I was 7 I fell in love with this show. I'm currently 13 still love it and watch it.
