Thanks I was waiting for this one !! I had a question, is it that you don't like putting the name of the Series with the number of the episode in the title or is it just because you do not give much attention to this ? Anyway, thanks for the vid ❤️
Hey mate, thanks for your continued support! I am testing implicitly and uniquely naming videos as part of a series, instead of making it obvious, to see its effect on views. I have a feeling that by doing it this way, each video can succeed by itself, at the expense of knowing the series order. However, knowing the order shouldn't be a problem since the series playlist has that covered. Hope that answers your question and if I receive enough feedback, I suppose I can revert it to how I used to do it.
@@OshanMan yeah, it seems obvious I didn't see it this way tho haha thank you for the quick answer, keep up the good work ! But yeah it's the best way to catch the more audience each time too, so nicely thought !
@@OshanMan Just put the series number in the description. And yes, not putting an episode number in the title helps with views, but the value of that is questionable. also people watching the series and following along arent using the playlist, they are just clicking the video in their sub-box, so that point is largely irrelevant.
This is a gamer meditation series. Have an easy time, do not always make every single building and grid optimized, it is just a coal mine not a minmax spreadsheet. Thank you.

Okay, one thing I learned is make a main road for export-import easier by planning a highway. The rest i can do some aesthetic thing which i like rather than grids right?
I would love to have your full gameplay to learn from. Would you ever consider streaming or uploading long videos that show all the actions that go into making an empire? Would be very educational!
Hey mate, glad to see you're having a good time! Once I get myself sorted I'll likely stream a few times a month here on YT but I've also done a few streams already. Here's a link to the playlist of all the Songs of Syx Streams I've done so far: th-cam.com/play/PLebYzG-oisQk1ZRhHEFRtx0KrHQuDNRu4.html And here's my most popular stream where I start from scratch and eventually reach over 600 population in less than 3 hours on the hardest difficulty: th-cam.com/video/jT2RMdDB6Pg/w-d-xo.html Hope that helps :)
And you heard right. I breath and shit grids. I even sacrifice more advantageous building placements to maintain the rigid grid. I also stick to one, uniformed grid size throughout the city from the start. I hate my OCD...😅
@@Sviatoslav_The_Brave actually, turns out it was a government affiliated company that assessed my other application, so technically not the government itself
Edit: question answered through comments, honestly I couldnt imagine the mindnumbing task of editing long songs of syx vids down. - Are the size of grids 43/43 so everything is in range to a degree of one another? Definitely going to have to try the hexagons, or grids to make late game easier 😂 first play through and my shi crumbled late game.
I'm not sure how much the grid size matters as long as each square isn't too small, but the reason I do them is to make it easier to build quickly (copy and paste blocks) and keep track of what's in a square and what to add, etc :)
@@OshanMan I've picked it up after work I tested out and realized how self explanatory the question was but I appreciate the reply. 🙏 Keep making that juicy content.
The maximum length of a building can be 55 tiles but the biggest square you can make with any building is only 45x45, so I made each square in the grid less than that size
You can do no talking videos, you need to run it on at least double speed though. You probably need to have a very solid plan on what you want to do in that video though. th-cam.com/video/zuAYrwkF4mQ/w-d-xo.html
Personally, I really dislike when there's progress like building between videos. A better alternative to that is recording it and speeding up the whole planning/building process. Now, it feels like I missed a big part of the gameplay

Do you know ow why nobody builds stuff like even or like all tougher why dose evryone make it so complex my city is a large square built so that they have easy access to everything
Sorry i hate grids in games like these Once played with a friend who built in grids in factorio and only used online blueprints I no longer play factorio with that friend

Wish you didnt cut out the part where you plan out the grid and move everything to it though :(
Hopefully youll show that in a future city
Got good news for you mate :)

yeah, do some main roads to speed up logistics but you can do whatever you want, I'm not gonna chase you up on it, haha

How do you decide on grid size?I cant figure out the size that I like building. Somewhere between 40 and 55...

I mean, a grid is pretty much a large square, haha
But I mainly build complex so it looks aesthetically pleasing whilst fulfilling all the needs :)
