You don't need a big name celeb to voice him if the original voice already sounds great as it is! EDIT: Detective Pikachu and Sonic already made the live-action video game film curse be put to rest, so this Nintendo Cinematic Universe is imminent… 🤔
Well, a big name celebrity didn't voice Sonic, either. (Well, I guess Ben was in Parks & Recreation but I don't know if that automatically makes someone a big name celebrity.) The movie that I think is using big name celebrities too much is for sure the Mario movie. Chris Pratt, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Seth Rogen, Keegan-Michael Key, etc.
If we're going to see Tails and Knuckles in this movie, Do you think we will see characters like Amy Rose in the third movie? Do you think lesser known Sonic the Hedgehog villains like Infinite, Lyric, Mephiles the Dark and the Deadly Six should get some time to shine like in this live action franchise?
I don't know about the other villains since they're planning to stick with Eggman since Jim Carrey signed up for more sequels. But here's my take what they could do for movie 3. First off, I get the feeling they might drop hints of it at the end credits. Figured that Amy arrives when everything is over and wants to meet Sonic. But she stumbles upon Eggman up to no good. Using Sonic's quills he kept, he decided to give his nemesis a run for his money by creating Metal Sonic. Amy goes to warn Sonic, but is captured by Eggman's robots since he can't have her talking and holds her hostage. The concept for movie 3 is Sonic meets his match against a robotic version of himself. And if they reach movie 4, it gives them the opportunity to reveal Shadow the Hedgehog. It gives them the advantage to explore more about Eggman. He's an important link to Shadow since his grandfather is that one who created him as the ultimate life form.
This is clearly now a retelling of the Death Egg saga: Sonic 2 + Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Sonic and Tails had met for the first time in Sonic 2. Knuckles was tricked by Eggman into thinking Sonic’s there to steal the Master Emerald in S3&K. And of course, this could mean that we will have the debut of Super Sonic if we also see the actual Chaos Emeralds.
What exactly is the plot of this movie with Tails joining forces with Sonic and are we going to see the the Chaos Emeralds in this movie as well as Super Sonic? And Why's Robotnik the villain of this movie since he got his time to shine in the first movie, How did he come back and is he going to create Metal_Sonic?
Predictions? Eggman finds one of the chaos emeralds and tries to track them all down, and discovers that the Master Emerald can sense, locate, and also augment the power of the chaos emeralds. The master emerald is guarded by Knuckles, and so Eggman uses Sonic's quill to power the movie version of Metal Sonic. Metal Sonic will steal the master emerald from Knuckles at the behest of Eggman in order to implement Sonic as the villain of Knuckles' story. Knuckles goes with Eggman to get the Master Emerald back from Sonic, but he was lied to, Sonic doesn't have the emerald. The film will build the friendship between Sonic and Tails while they are basically being chased down by Knuckles, and trying to stop Eggman. Towards the end, Knuckles will figure out the truth and will team up with Sonic and Tails to take on Eggman, but of course, Eggman has the last ace up his sleeve- Metal Sonic. However, Metal Sonic betrays Eggman. See, the power that Sonic, Knuckles, Tails and the "mobians" have is known as chaos force. It's the life force energy of their universe. When Eggman created Metal Sonic and put Sonic's quill in him, the quill didn't just power Metal Sonic, it helped him to evolve from a computer program to an artificial intelligence. Eggman's whole point of creating Metal Sonic was to make a superior to Sonic, but with Metal becoming self-aware, he instead believes he is the real Sonic (which is why he betrays Eggman) and so he wants to take Sonic out. So, maybe the Master Emerald will make the Chaos Emeralds turn into Super Emeralds, Metal Sonic will end up taking the Master Emerald and trying to destroy Sonic, but Sonic, Tails and Knuckles will basically get their super forms (hyper for Sonic) to fight him.
Yes tails is voiced by a lady if your wondering....she's done voice of Tails for a while.
I'm really glad that they didn't replace her with another celebrity.
