I love this line because I had the originals, but they are really lacking on accessories and female figures. If they correct these issues, I'd be happy to keep collecting them. Excelent video as always!
Maybe the cost of sculpting on Guy eliminated the lantern...!! Maybe the extra plastic eliminated the lantern for Kilowog... Maybe someday... a pack of extras to fill those gaps...!! (That's three 'maybes')....LOL.!!
I love your reviews, but I do wish you were sometimes more severe. Don’t hesitate to give 2s and 3s, people will like and respect you even more for it. I sometimes listen to what you say in a section, and I'm thinking you're gonna give a 2 or 3, but it almost always ends up 4 or 5. Like, in playability for Guy, without any lantern, despite a gripping hand, it should have been a 3. As another example, if the back cover and trading card of a McFarlane figure aren't the same costume as the figure, and it happens too often, it should be an automatic 1 point deduction if not more depending on how egregious the diffence is. I do hope you continue reviewing Super Powers figures because you're the best reviewer for them, but I do get why you wouldn't. You make very valid points. Speaking of which, I was disappointed by how big Booster Gold is compared to Blue Beetle and even the old Martian Manhunter. Seems like they're starting to have scaling issues like DC Multiverse.
How many Batman and Superman’s do we need??? No joker no penguin no luthor darkseid but no other new gods. There is no order in these releases so sloppy
Between stocking Super Powers, the Collector's Edition, and especially the Platinum Collectors Edition, McFarlane has an unfortunate track record of fumbling the ball with Diana.
Yeah I never bought a dc direct, McFarlane toys dc universe whatever it is called. I thought aboutwho would do a really good batman/joker display and I just .. SO MANY BATMANS.lol sorr y.
Enjoyable intro, Jason. I don’t collect the line, so I have no horsies in the race, but I don’t look at the figures and see a reason to buy. The Detective Batman was the only one I wanted to get since I didn’t have Bats in the original line (but wanted him so), but I still didn’t pick him up. I get what you mean about a lack of value. Guy should have had a lantern. The cost of tooling was already there, so it was simply the cost of plastic and inclusion. McFarlane doesn’t have the strongest argument of costs with this, either.
The only argument I can make in his defense is that the bodies for John and Hal had more reuse potential, so even if it cost more upfront with the lantern they would get their money back with repaints. Guy is mostly one and done.
Tell me are you planning on reviewing the secret empire Captain America and compare him next to Iron man mk3 figure already like have you bought on ebay already?
If I do, I will do it either the weekend leading up to the Election or on Veterans Day weekend, since those are patriotic and can tie into Captain America.
i love this one better, his jacket is just like my punk jacket(on the design, my leather punk jacket), did you get him from gamestop, target or walmart?,....because i wanna get this version not the wimpy looking other ones, this is far too much better, 100% better, love his outfit,..if you don't like this version, can i have it, please, thank you,.........marius(punk rules).
No, they are listed on the package as being for Ages 12 and up, in contrast to most action figures like Marvel Legends or the Spin Master DC figures which are labeled as for Ages 4+. Though it is sold on the figure aisle at Walmart alongside Spin Master, this series is for nostalgic adults who collected the original Kenner line. Obviously kids can play with them, but they are not the target demo
I’m very curious to see your thoughts on the new DC Multiverse Batman reborn figure art particularly the potential head swaps. I’ve tried a few myself, but I’d really like to know your thoughts.
@@5POAFigureReviews Funny because I remember him sometimes being an arrogant jerk, but not a corporate sellout. That's based on his JLI tenure. Maybe he was shown like that in other series?

😂 @3:36 Hal Jordan became hard to find in the McFarlane SP line and isn't cheap anymore.
Ah that's a shame.
I was done ever since they started doing the $30 crap from last year. And when they didn’t stock Wonder Woman up enough 😢
Between stocking Super Powers, the Collector's Edition, and especially the Platinum Collectors Edition, McFarlane has an unfortunate track record of fumbling the ball with Diana.
Not all the figures are 30 it's spinoff line

y.
He's talking about the Super Powers line, not DC Multiverse.
Is it paint slop? Guy did have a scar by the left eye in the 80s 90s that seems to have been mostly forgotten
Excellent observation I had not thought of

Still can’t wait for the blue beetle review
Thanks! I really appreciate that

@@5POAFigureReviews Yes and do not forget to compare him next to Iron man mark 3 you have amigo
Hal Jordan is not cheap. Unfortunately he's extremely hard to find.
Oh has he gone up? Dang
@@5POAFigureReviews big time
I like the new intro
Thank you!
2:37 No.
yeah but now your closer to making a 87 justice league (JLI)
True!
Other than black series and shfiguarts star wars, also marvel legends, a few randomly things. Now I just do marvel legends.
Is that Ron Weasley? Lol

Not looking to part with him, sorry! If I remember correctly I got him on Amazon
He’s got a kind of Woody Harrelson smirk
I can see it
@@5POAFigureReviews And it fits the character too. ;-)
This is a kids' line for kids, right?

@@5POAFigureReviews Weird. Had me fooled. I wonder what makes the age limit so high.
@@Spenceley I think it has to do with the types of the plastics they use and how durably they can hold up against children playing rough with them.

You'll be happy to know I have both the regular and Platinum, so there will be plenty of options.
good review, can't say much about that line only like the Batman who laughs
The only figure I wanted and got
I hope or hop McFarlane makes a superpowers Captain Carrot figure
Ok that I would buy in a heartbeat lol
Maybe he's a White Lantern in the Superman movie.
Rumor has it that the original Kenner Superpowers Batman punched because of Guy Gardener
Lol I'd believe it
To be fair to the Guy Gardner, he's meant to be a corporate sell out of a hero. Like The Boys, only milder
True!

I’m so mad they never made a Guy Gardner DC multiverse figure yet.
I imagine with him appearing in the new Superman that we will got comic and live action versions of him.
Day 42 of asking for bane the musical
I not saying I've started brainstorming what such a musical would look like...but I'm also not NOT saying I haven't...
