How to change a 2009 Dodge Avenger 2.7L Oil pan |

This video is for the 2009 2.7 Liter engine. In this video I walk you through a few steps to show how you can remove your oil pan without having to cut the exhaust.
Remove the exhaust bolts above the catalytic converter and the two below it which are on the exhaust pipe. This should give you clearance & allow you to remove the Oil pan.

Really appreciate showing this video. I need to drop the pan to see the oil pickup tube is clear. Did you see a screen on it? Also what is that side part with the bolts on it on the oil pan for? This video is so incredibly helpful

If you have the access cover on the side, you can drain the oil, remove that and then access the pickup tube. There are two bolts holding it on and you can replace rather easy, then just clean up the RTV on the side cover and apply new RTV!

Hi, I have a quick question about the video I followed all your steps on how to replace the oil pan. The only thing I’m stuck on is the last part that you got stuck on I’m trying to remove the exhaust pipe that’s in my way. I seen what you said but it’s just not working I have a 2008 tho . Please help if you can
