I hope you get an emu Christmas present, Catherine. Try not to be sad and discouraged. Sounds like you are doing everything you can possibly do. Praying for at least one!
Ms Catherine, you are doing an amazing job. I also follow "A Chick called Albert", this guy is also amazing. He has hatched all kinds of eggs including one from the grocery store that was on the shelf; and YES, he hatched an Emu egg too. You will enjoy him, he's great and so is his hairdo at 3:00am 😄
I watch the A Chick Called Albert, watched from his first upload, you can learn a lot from him, his love for all creatures is amazing. I'm so glad he has supporters from around the globe that allow him to run his rescue.
I know that you’re doing everything possible to give these baby emu’s a fighting chance. I’ve been keeping you in my prayers. I really enjoy your channel.
Kathryn I have watched your videos and just want to say how much I admire you for what you do.I really hope you read this and take me as serious as I am and that I mean this from the bottom of my heart.
Catherine I'm just a city girl but my instinct tells me that those Daddy emus help those babies out of their eggs. Good luck ,maybe you'll get a great emu Christmas present this year!✌💜
I just watched Ima Survivor Sanctuary video of Ostriches hatching, which they were told would never happen in Texas. The adults were helping those babies out of the shell, I thought I remembered this(2 yrs ago). There isn't that much difference between Emu's and ostriches hatching surely, Help them babies Catherine✌💜
Catherine, one thing I learned with farming a long time ago. We do all we can, but in the end, it's in God's hands. I believe you have done all you can.
I’m so sorry about the Emu’s . I can hear this disappointment in your voice. It’s definitely sad but even if none of them hatch Catherine at least you can say you tried. If you wouldn’t have tried they wouldn’t have made it this far . Everything happens for a reason. Keep farming on Catherine
I am so very sorry to hear about the Emu eggs you’ve tried I hope everything works out and there will be some born on Christmas. That would be a blessed miracle and would be so awesome. My heart goes out to you for trying.❤❤
those baby cows are gorgeous, you will soon have them very tame. i still hold out hope for a baby nuggo, you did your very, very best Catherine, that's nature,
😢😭 I'm so sad about the loss of the baby emus:(. It must be heart wrenching for you with each egg. I sure hope this next one makes it. You are doing great to hang in there and hope. You're doing everything you can to help, so it's not your fault. It's just sad. I sure will be excited and happy when you do finally get a successful hatch! 🥚 🐥 (There's not an emu emoji, so I had to make do.)
I hope you don’t wait till day 59 or 60 to give them air holes. You’re putting a lot into it and I think we all believe that. You’re bending over backwards to give these babies a chance. Something else we all know. Bless your heart, Catherine. Maybe you’ll get some Christmas babies.❤❤❤
Hang in there Catherine, there's always tomorrow to make up for today and when it gets here, your today will be yesterday and part of your learning history 💗💗🌸💗💗
Those cows are so stinkin' cute!! I'm sorry about the emu's!! I know that's got to be emotional for you! Not to mention frustrating!! Praying for a much better outcome with the remaining eggs!
Hello Miss Catheriine, The steers seem to be improving in their demeanor. I have never known a calf to act pleased to being halter and lead trained.... But it is so good when the training Takes. We had a heifer that just would not be trained. I was in 10th grade then and Miss Bonnie a Holstein heifer had gone into heat jumped the fence and run off about a mile to a herd of whiteface beef cattle, Jumped their fence and was bred in short order by a huge herford bull. we could not lead her home My Dad got mad snapped a heavy lead rope on her halter and tied it to the farm tractor. He drove slowly away and she struggled and bawled all the way home. he led her to the barn and released her into the biggest stall. the result was she was bred and had a lovely holstein herford cross heifer calf. .... After that the dear girl was easy to lead every time. Rick
Catherine, I know nothing about hatching emu eggs, but I can say I don’t know a person who could give more than you have in making sure that just the right circumstances were there for those babies to hatch if they were meant to be. We’re here with you as you keep on with your attempts to hatch some sweet emus. Just maybe one day G& G Farms will have some baby emus running around on the farm.😊😊
Catherine everyone knows that you are trying your best. Please do not beat yourself up. I hope you have a merry Christmas. We all love your channel.❤❤❤
I feel so bad for you. I know just how much love you've put into these eggs, and I can hear the pain in your voice over the lost ones. Keep at it Katherine. I know you're going to have a baby emulated out of one of these darned things!
Oh Cathrine I am so sorry you lost two of our rocking babies. My finger are cross that this last baby makes it. Or definitely a few in the last bunch you got. I am praying that God will give you the wisdom you need to hatch a few of these babies. But please remember this is the first season these two emus have laid eggs. I don’t want you to loss hope. I know they are coming the are going to be the golden nuggets you always watch cute as ever. Prayers are coming your way. Your friend Ronda Briggs
So sorry its not as easy as we all expected. So with that said your doing your best . So keep trying it's all one can do. Praying it happens for you.❤😊
Brooke & Jason both told How hard it is I think they might have tried But No matter it is Not a EASY thing.. She the Women to get it done! We All behind & beside her..
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you Catherine & all the Rest of the Crew, husband & those critters especially those EMU eggs that we are all praying to hatch out.
I'm so sorry the 2 eggs died. I'm glad you have one still tryin to come into this world. I pray the hole and hairline crack you put into and on egg #5 will help it. Out of all the emu eggs I am prayin that atleast one will make it. You are such a good and patient person and with your commitment to these eggs atleast one of them has to make it. I can't wait til we find out how #5 gets out the egg to find its momma(you) waiting and talkin to it. God bless.😊❤
I have hatched 12 emus over the years. 50% of the eggs have always hatched on days 55-57 but I had never used a brooder; just hatched them in the incubator & then moved them out under a heat lamp when they are out of the egg. I have always turned the incubator turner off so that the eggs get used to their hatching position but apart from that not moved them apart from to weigh & sing to them. Do you think moving them to the brooder has had an impact? I certainly know the heartache of wobbling eggs not hatching so can empathise with your pain. I wish you the best of luck with the next batch. I know you’ll get there. I cuddle all of my emus daily & wouldn’t swop them for the world. They bring great joy & are all wonderful characters. All the best
Cathern, I love how you just keep on keeping on. You WILL be successful and have some birds. Remember, the last clutch that Goldie had didn't have any that were fertile. I love how you are working with the calves. Keep up the good work.
Oh Catherine, none of us would want to be the one trying this. We know you love the Golden Nuggets. Don’t be hard on yourself. I know nothing. What I do know is that your heart is as big as Texas. And we know that. I support you 100%. ❤️ 🙏🏼🎄🙏🏼 ❤️
You are doing great !!!! The babies are so lucky to have you--even the ones who do not make it--they were loved and cared for....... We are with You on this journey--Merry Christmas to you and your family --and may God Bless you all...
I’m a newbie since you started with the emus. Love your channel, and I hope someone out there with experience with the eggs that can help you succeed. We’re all rooting for you. We can tell you love your animals. Just keep spreading the love. We feel it out here. God bless you with. Wonderful Christmas and your best New Year ever.
Catherine, I know it's frustrating BUT....your being , hard on yourself. ❤ You have shown your love for way to many animals to beat yourself up like this .Just keep on keeping on and farm on 😃❤️🎅🎅🎅🎄🎄Merry Christmas.
Catherine, you'll get your Emu's. I am sending positive thoughts your way. I absolutely LOVE the calfs. They are so precious. If I could have cows I'd have the highland breed.
Catherine we know you’re doing all you can to hatch the Emu eggs ! We know your want to hatch them as much as we want them to hatch !! I’m so sorry you have so much stress on your shoulders right now and hopefully at least 1-2 Emu eggs will hatch and give you some relief and learned knowledge for future egg hatching ! I’m so glad you went ahead and cracked the egg and gave it an air hole to give the chick the best possible chance of hatching !! You’re doing a great job taming the calves down they are both looking beautiful !! Take care & have a blessed beautiful Christmas ! I/we look forward to every video !! God bless , stay warm , & farm on !! ❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈
That was a Great Video Thank You for your time. Yes sure it is hard right now with Caden out.. Holidays aren't we glad they come once a year!! Catherin I know your heart is breaking about the EMU eggs But Girl You giving it your ALL and We Appreciate it too. Know Brooke is going to be Over the Moon when One hatches.. Your hard work with them Cows/Bulls will pay off. Love Ya Farm On!!! Merry Christmas
You are doing a remarkable job taking care of your whole farm. You’re so gentle and patient. If I’m having bad day I always turn to your channel and cog hills too. So glad I found you both 💐💖
You’re such a wonderful person with the animals. The animals on your farm are very loved. Sorry about your loss on the emus. You have done your best you will get it and have perfect and healthy emus. Take care and stay strong. God bless
Maybe the reason emus lay so many eggs is because it is such a difficult process to produce a living bird. Blessings sent your way, Catherine! Hoping Caden has a friend who can fill in for him.
Merry Christmas to y’all! The emu egg story was sad, but maybe things will work out with the others. The two baby boys are just precious. I look forward to seeing their training…they’re sure pretty little guys! I hate it Caden got hurt. He sure is a good kid and a hard worker! Fingers crossed he gets back sooner rather than later. The drone shot over your place was just delightful!❤❤❤
So sorry Catherine. Guess there is more to learn about Emus. There will be more eggs I’m sure! Perhaps springtime will have better result. Have a Merry Christmas!
You are doing Great!!! Logic would say that you absolutely intervene by day 58 or 59. If you want they aren't going to make it anyway. I always say.. Follow your gut!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Please tell Cayden to do what the dr say even tho he thinks its ok. DON'T my friend took didn't and had to have another surgery total if 4.. GET WELL SOON. Catherine I enjoy your channel Good Luck with the Emu hatching. ❤😊
I consider ALL Animals as Myself, meaning, I don't want to be messed with while I am eating, actually I would have to react! I am pretty sure I am not alone!!???🙏💕🙏
There is a TH-cam show named A Chick Called Albert. The guy is an expert at hatching eggs including an emu that needed help getting out of the shell. I'm sure you are doing your best. Nature is a fickle mother.
Bless your heart!! For all your doing to get to a baby Emu!! You’re doing a great job. There’s only one thing my mind keeps going to for possible help is….. another web site called “ A chick named Albert” I’ve watched many of his hatching videos and he’s been doing it for years!!!! He’s fantastic. I mean he’s gone to grocery store and found Quail eggs…, he bought them, took them home, put them in an incubator . Well guess what he hatched one! He talks , whistles the eggs a lot….. so just a thought. Take care ❤️ Kathy
Catherine, You might want to contact White House on the Hill from you tube, which has hatched at least 2 emus. Im wondering if the emu eggs are not attended by the Cog Hill Sheriff soon enough for good viability. Its all pretty new to the Cog Hill pair.
Your farm and all the happenings is hard work. I feel for you and your hard work with the eggs. You can’t second guess yourself. You are doing the very best you can with everything you know and anyone who knows you or have watched you knows you won’t give up. You aren’t doing anything wrong at all. This is nature and it will happen as it should be. We enjoy all you can show us and share with us. We love you and know it will happen as it should. Farm on lady. We will be here for you no matter what. ❤
What I see here is Not Nature But Man trying to be that.. Man made the machine he tells how to do this that and even that could be wrong. God made Two Bird one lays the other Sits and what hatch hatch some times Only One some times ALL.. Catherine doing what she can to help Goldie & Nugget be parents.. that ALL she can do and we know her heart is breaking.
Oakley and Ireland are both so cute. They are going to bring you a lot of joy as they get more tame. 🥰Sorry about the Emu chicks. We are all on tenderhooks hoping they will hatch. Even if it doesn't go to plan, at least we know that there were chicks growing. I had my doubts after the first lot of eggs at Cog Hill, that they were even fertile, especially with Nugget thinking he was more person than Emu. Just shows nature wins over anything else. You will have success, if not with this lot, then maybe the Spring Emu eggs. Cause I know you will keep trying. Have a great Christmas with your family and fingers crossed for some successful hatchings over the next few days. 🥰🥰
I honestly believe Catherine is doing everything within her scope of researched knowledge to help emus to survive. Just a thought - maybe contact the leading Veterinarian College/University in Alabama and ask if they have any experience hatching emus. If not successful call other teaching facilities in other states. In my opinion Nurse/Mama Catherine is nearing exhaustion and Christmas Eve is in 2 days. She needs valid information that can provide her with well researched information. Catherine needs rest and peace-of-mind. Even the Bionic Woman required restful sleep in order to function. I wish Catherine and her entire family (2 and 4 legged, feathered and furry and human), a safe, healthy and pleasant holiday and a bright 2025!
I know Marie from random Okey farms she raises baby emails from the eggs and a hat. Maybe you could get a hold of her. She’s very knowledgeable about it. Lynda
Have you seen A Chick Named Albert? He does all kinds of bird hatching. There is one that he hatched that is an Emu. BTW, all of your animals are so very lucky to be loved by you!
Ha the baby cows are look gorgeous. Katherine don't be to hard on yourself. it's a big responsibility in what you doing with the Emu's and taking care of a farm to. no one can do but there best. one is better than nothing isn't it. thank you for sharing Katherine merry Christmas 🎄🎁 and a happy New year 🎉🎊👍❤️❤️
Katherine on the day you think it is due start a air hole and try to help the Emu baby out of shell, to keep the moisture in the egg because one air hit it's just so long before all is really dry inside of shell. Good luck on the rest of birds.
I just absolutely love you Catherine and I’m hoping right along with you for a Christmas baby Emu. You are a busy bee I’m praying for Caden and a smooth recovery after his surgeries . He’s a strong young man and will follow Drs. orders and do all he can to get back on his feet. Happy Tony is back to work and doing well that’s wonderful news! In the meantime you take it easy on yourself wear steel toed boots and shin guards when you are making Ireland and Oakley babies love you 🤣they are so cute but they are mighty as well. Just be careful we don’t need you hurt next my friend😩😱 I will be praying at least one little Emu finds the strength to enter this world who knows we might get a Christmas surprise and have a few I’m hopeful too Catherine🙏 Merry Christmas to you, Tony , Stella and your entire family 🎄🙏
Don't stress your self out about whats going on. You are a busy lady and your true followers understand that this is how farm life is!!! Thanks for sharing what you can and be carefull.
God bless you, Honey. You are doing your best and no one can ask for more. Imagine if ALL your EMU eggs had hatched. Yikes!. Surely you will get one or two and your sweet dream will be fulfilled. ❤❤❤
You are so smart and such a good farm mama!!! The bull babies are precious. I'm a little prejudice for Ireland......those eyes. Have a wonderful Christmas .
His round RFID tag (most are white) must stay in his ear. It's a government tag to show where he was born. The other ones can get removed with a tag cutter, you can get one at tractor supply, or online. If you ever breed cattle to sell, you have to register your farm and put an RFID tag in every baby's ear. Just info.
✨️ You are SO WONDERFUL I don't have Emus but I HAVE been a bird breeder/feeder, Emus (Nugget) the first time would turn the eggs everyday and I BELIEVE he would know if he had to intervene! I KNOW with Birds that I have been with the Mom would intervene! You are on life's Journey And I can TRULY BELIEVE YOU ARE ROCKING IT✨️✨️🙏
I hope you get an emu Christmas present, Catherine. Try not to be sad and discouraged. Sounds like you are doing everything you can possibly do. Praying for at least one!
Ms Catherine, you are doing an amazing job. I also follow "A Chick called Albert", this guy is also amazing. I have watched him!!!! He would be an amazing contact for you Catherine!
If you get one to hatch you'll have to call it Goldie Locks, not too big not too small, just right. Bless your sweet heart.
You are so brave I pray you are blessed with a golden nugget. So deserved
If anyone can teach little wild calves to be tame and sweet it is you. Thanks for the great video. I am happy to be with you on the Emu egg hatching.
I know that you’re doing everything possible to give these baby emu’s a fighting chance. I’ve been keeping you in my prayers. I really enjoy your channel.

The males don't crack the eggs....the chicks kick with their powerful legs to get out!😊

Bless your heart. Thanks for letting us share this journey with you. Take care ❤❤❤
Merry Christmas, praying for a baby nuget. ❤
There’s only one thing my mind keeps going to for possible help is….. another web site called
“ A chick named Albert”
I’ve watched many of his hatching videos and he’s been doing it for years!!!! He’s fantastic. I mean he’s gone to grocery store and found Quail eggs…, he bought them, took them home, put them in an incubator . Well guess what he hatched one!
He talks , whistles the eggs a lot….. so just a thought. Take care
❤️

Katherine don't be to hard on yourself. it's a big responsibility in what you doing with the Emu's and taking care of a farm to. no one can do but there best. one is better than nothing isn't it. thank you for sharing Katherine merry Christmas 🎄🎁 and a happy New year 🎉🎊👍❤️❤️
Thank you Cathrine! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to You and Yours! 2024
I do hope you get some emu’sI wanna see one. I’m glad you updated us. I’m looking forward to your broadcast. I check every day.
Hang in there praying for you and them
Don't give up it will happen. I know you are disappointed, but don't be. Keep farming on. Sending prayers for the babies.
Catherine just remember it may not be Gods will because he can see the future. My prayer is that it be his will for you to get at least 1 or 2.
Don't stress your self out about whats going on. You are a busy lady and your true followers understand that this is how farm life is!!! Thanks for sharing what you can and be carefull.
The lady with the red bucket 🤣😂💙💙🐮🐮🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💞
God bless you, Honey. You are doing your best and no one can ask for more. Imagine if ALL your EMU eggs had hatched. Yikes!. Surely you will get one or two and your sweet dream will be fulfilled. ❤❤❤
You are so smart and such a good farm mama!!! The bull babies are precious. I'm a little prejudice for Ireland......those eyes. Have a wonderful Christmas .
Just wanted to say Merry Christmas. 😊
Merry Christmas!
Just info.
You are doing so well. Don’t stress. I know how you are feeling though. I hope some of them make it. Bless you for trying!!
✨️ You are SO WONDERFUL
I don't have Emus but I HAVE been a bird breeder/feeder, Emus (Nugget) the first time would turn the eggs everyday and I BELIEVE he would know if he had to intervene! I KNOW with Birds that I have been with the Mom would intervene!
You are on life's Journey And I can TRULY BELIEVE YOU ARE ROCKING IT✨️✨️🙏
I am really sorry Catherine but you have done all you could for the Emu's. We all love you & your farm.
Catherine you got to remember your trying to hatch emus in your winter emus are Australian animals and they typically hatch in our summer which is now
Good luck. I'm praying egg #5 will hatch.
I'm praying for golden nuggets 🙏. ❤❤❤
Maybe reach out to Jake from White House on the hill and see if he can give you some advice on successfully hatching them
