- What's good ALPHAZ?! Today we are reacting (re-reacting) to XTRA XTRA X5. The XG Documentary that covers the beginning of the creation of XG, a girl group that's "A New Breed, Breaking Boundaries." We get introduced not only to the 7 girls of XG, but the other girls that helped them get to where they are today. This episode has a lot to unpack. From the girls' first performances since joining the XGALX project, Hinata's parents, the Atlanta Music Camp, the the final Korea Training Camp, up until right before the final cuts.

ive always know that cocona was unique. from just seeing her and that vibe she threw out. which is why shes my bias. but nate watching u rewatch this made me emotional too! but keep doing this for us other alphaz. and their dancing skillz ~ oh mylanta!! at the rate theyre going theyll be up there with janet, madonna or paula abdul! so crisp n clean!!!

This documentary is so good, you truly see the vision and the process of what is XG. Every member has their struggles and you can see the struggles being addressed, then slowly improved on. Then when you compare the growth from pre debut to tippy toes, to mascara, to shooting star, you can truly see they put the work in and have shown incredible amounts of growth. This is going to be a great Journey❤🐺
Really really really so happy to be in this early and to get to share stories with other ALPHAZ. Being on this journey I feel like, worth of reminiscing about 4-5 years from now when they are just a global unstoppable force.
Hinata when she got off the stage after her solo 🥺😭 I’m so proud of her!

I've been told rumored spoilers. I didn't want to dive into it it in the video because there's no telling the truth until X6 hits.
If you can get this many people to watch a 77min video for a second reaction and not even a first, you gotta be doing something right bro.
You give great insight, but it’s more for how real of a reaction you give us. I’m sure lots of people feel more comfortable expressing their feelings because you show that it’s okay to cry. The story Simon has to tell takes a huge emotional toll. We get a glimpse of the struggles and challenges the girls faced. This is heavy stuff!
I held it together for the most part until Juria. Her crying broke me. I don’t know how Simon could see all their potential and also help to bring out the best in them. Truly amazing work on the part of mentor and students.

It feels like a little time but in reality it wasn't short either! the amount of time these girls have spent as a group even being only a year and a half since debut is amazing. their bond is unbreakable.

I will never shuttup about how huge simon has been. to be in his 30s, create XGALX, get people from all over to buy into his vision, to appreciate the culture of hiphop and rnb, to get these girls to where they are now. Simon doesn't get enough love.

Kamiya and Hikaru still doing XGALX proud. After E6 we plan to do a breakdown of where all the girls that participated if they have any public info on where they are at now. Only official info no rumors or anything. But I believe quite a few are still doing work under AVEX.

I always was thinking about the girls’s parents somehow I assumed they were special as the girls and when I watched hinata’s parents on the documentary was surprisingly amazing and now they would know they did the right leting Hinata being in XG project❤😢
I actually don't recall if any of the girls that had parents having experience on the stage. Hinata's parents were so so so precious though. I can't. Seeing them support Hinata and imagining how proud they are of her now just gets me emotional.

On another note - feisty Hiphop Maknae really is dangerous, the sweet, cool voice when she sings + that low register when she's rapping. And let's not talk about her overwhelming swag when she dances.
Mascara might be the one who made me love them and discover all things prior to their debut - but GALZ XYPHER, especially Cocona's part was the hook, line and sinker.

Man, Hinata gets me every time she speaks about her doubt and fears, herself and her being just happy and grateful being able to fulfill her dreams. Her parents too, especially his father is nothing short of amazing - it must've been so difficult for him to let go of his princess, but in the end, his love for her won. Thank you Mr. Sohara for letting us have the honor of knowing your wonderful daughter.
Through this docu, we grew to love and respect not only our XG girls - but those girls too who has been part of their journey.
Those showcases they did was the cusp between being trainees and global superstars. Simon really is something else, people might hate us for defending him from those naysayers - but he's the man. In Simon we trust.
That 'Good Thing' heels choreo though -- it floored me, i can't remember how many times i watched the TikTok video of that part.

That last choreo was stunning. Literally stunning. PRE DEBUT. PRE FINAL GROUP. PRE ARE WE EVEN GOING TO MAKE IT. Jesus so freaking good.
And yeah the girls that didn't make it to XG, I know its been discussed in our Discord where a few of them have ended up. They all have a part in what makes XG great today. And it's good to know that the final 10 all still keep in touch and have that sisterhood bond to this day.

That's true. Those girls who didn't made it to the cut was nothing short of amazing too. I've seen Airi, Rei and Hikaru and their respective endeavours. Even though they went to have a careers of their own, their sisterly bond and the time they've spent together will be with them forever.

at 1:01:44 just wanted to point out that it's the scary dance teacher who is being so harsh on juria haha. i think simon agree'd that juria may needed further improvement in dance but he doesn't seem to talk that abrasively. would be cool to see if there is footage of the dance/vocal teachers being proud of the girls in a later episode though i dont think we'll get stuff like that. i remember the sm vocal teacher, who helped in sisters slam dunk briefly was shown in one of the earlier episodes
Yeah that dance teacher don’t f**k around. It was hard seeing him go at Juria this late in the game. Obviously the end result we see… but even for me that was a bit much. Maybe it comes out harsher in translation? But yeah you’re right. SM coach was in X4 but his face was blurred out at that point. But I don’t think we’ll see much of vocal training because of his involvement.

We know what happened to Hikaru and people have said Airi went on to a solo career. But does anyone know about Rei, and what she is doing?
It was discussed in discord. But after the final cuts in X6 I will make a video detailing where all the girls from the auditions ended up using only official channels and information. There are rumors but I don't think it's a good idea to discuss those on the channel so we'll keep it as close to confirmed content as possible.

I would love to but apparently people like it?!? I get it though. It's more of the emotional journey of watching something with someone. I used to despise react videos as low effort content. But when I first found XG and had nobody to talk to about it, it was reactor videos I turned to. I am just glad I can play my part in people's journey in finding XG.
When rumors circulated that HINATA was a YG trainee, I wanted to shout that it was wrong, and I remember being really frustrated when I only watched XG's debut song and reacted that Koreans were not good at dancing. I want that person to see my dance skills when I was a trainee.

My theory since I knew about Hikaru being part of the team before debut was that she was chosen to debut but then something happened and she didn't (I never believed in that theory that she will join later) what I am curious about is to know what happened, it could be the reality show, so did mnet approach Avex and invite them to send a trainee? then they had to choose from xg members? why not the other 2 that were not chosen to debut? those were the things I've been thinking about. I guess our answer is finally coming soon.
Yeah we have info about that situation but I don't want to spoil anything before X6. So we'll be doing a kind of "where are they now" video on the girls who have information out on them after X6. But it's just amazing how much talent XGALX was able to produce on their first round of auditions.
