- On the Team Dual Trike, the possibilities are endless and the feedback we receive is amazing. While this unique cycle was originally designed for the Adult Recreation and Resort Rental market, the special needs market has really picked up on this two rider cycle.
😂Thanks! I have one and as I can't walk, I electrified it right away. 1 used a 1000 watt motor/48 Volt battery. I use it daily for shopping and walking my dogs. One pulls out fron while the other sits as a passenger. I LOVE this Trike!
I own three of the Dual trikes. My Neighbors use one . My wife and I ride an hour every day and thoroughly enjoy it. We are headed to Florida and will take two of the trikes, so that friends can ride with us during the winter months. We normally carry one trike on a platform carrier that we modified. We carry two on a light weight trailer.
My friend Erwin Tipton has the first one built in the late 70s.

Why wasn't a right turn shown? I have made a quadricycle, with side-by-side seating, that can make tight turns, left or right. Hope we share ideas for trikes and quadrikes.
It can do both equally but its tiller steer so you should slow down and juggle it or one hand it.

I purchase the same bike for me and my handicapped son as well but my son doesn't pedal so I'm getting rid of it and I'm selling it for a thousand five hundred

Pretty sure trike means 3 wheels. Tri=3.... pretty cool though. Just built a trike. Your handle bars will definitely be hard to use without elbowing the other. Use a U-joint and closer steering wheel/handle bars and just locate it one one side. When people want to drive, they can just switch.

why can't the pedalling chain go around the wheel axle directly?
Is the basket on the back adjustable? We need a place to safely put our two little dogs.
There is room for two baskets on the back of the trike for your two dogs.

yes I know how you feel I have a handicapped child I would love to have this for so I could take him out in the open air and sun but this would only be a Dream for me & my boy, I could never afford something like this 😢

If your son is on an Innovation Waiver or Capp it will pay for one. They paid for one for my daughter who has down syndrome.
The steering looks very “under-engineered”, it assumes that drives sits at the center or that both passengers could do it? Is this a joke, experiment or an idea waiting for feedback?
I think it should be referred to as a compromise.
The steering is super simple design, yes it can be made better where all the steering can be controlled by the one person but it will increase cost to do so. Two trike with updated steering is the Ricksycle and Orthros.

1:15 That's misleading. I think the whole axel is turning. So, the one that pedals is turning both wheels.
The question is, if one is pedaling harder, does a second pedaler at a lower intensity help at all?
You are incorrect. Person on Left drives Left wheel and person on Right drives Right wheel. Same way Ricksycle does it.

@@industrialbicycles You can't have it both ways. Either each peddler makes only their back wheel turn or a locked straight front wheel would cause to turn towards the one not peddling. I'm saying locked front wheel, meaning someone prevented it from being steered.
We have sold hundred of these trikes. You just do not understand, the person the right drives the right wheel and the person on the left drives the left wheel. Each person can pedal in a gear that is comfortable for them. You can steer the trike with the handlebars from either side of the trike. The trike can be ridden by one person ant the other rear wheel will just spin.

If 2nd person doesn't feel like riding can one person pedal it around or too heavy?
Only one rider needs to pedal. It works easier with two pedaling but its not necessary.
One person can do all the pedaling but they will not be having any beings the Team Dual trike is only a three speed and it is very heavy. Look at the Ricksycle or Fun 2 go trikes.

Have you ever seen an adult tricycle that can pull someone in a wheelchair to ride around the neighborhood safely? I think Mom and I would both enjoy the ride while I get some exercise.
