Jack and Kim are an underrated couple who deserve to get talked about more frequently. I loved how they got to know each other as friends prior to dating.
They are the first ship that made me appreciate chemistry. So many actors/actresses do not have chemistry especially on Disney , so for this show being more focused on the sterotypical boys viewing then girls pulling out one of the best couples with amazing chemistry is shocking but much appreciated .
As a kid I only kept watching kickin it for this ship. It was kind of a boring show otherwise, but I’m glad they could portray a healthy couple (especially in a story aimed at boys).
I had such a crush on Jack as a kid I think mostly because of him and Kim’s relationship. With many characters they make the hot guy come across arrogant, but Jack always had enough kindness to overcome that. I loved this show so much. I’m glad that people remember and appreciate it too.💚🖤
If we’re being honest…this show is one of the few children’s show that perfectly balances being likable for boys and girls. The baseline of it being about karate and action centered, but Kim is able to be both athletic and girly
I’ve watched only a little bit of Kickin It and wouldn’t call myself a fan of the show but it’s still so great and refreshing to hear that Jack and Kim were probably the only Disney Channel couple aside from Kim and Ron, or more recently Luz and Amity that didn’t go through any kind of problematic drama this, break ups that that made it hard to really root for them. (Looking at you Alex and Mason and Cody and Bailey)
After the Zompire movie, Kim and Jack both watch another movie in the cinema together. Jack does not like the movie "saying it is the worst movie" but he says "I am glad that I am here with you". Kim responds "Me too". I thought this is a really cute moment especially since Kim wanted to see that movie earlier in the episode.
Jack and Kim were one of my favorite ships as a kid. Thought they were so cute together and I love the fact that they at least got to know each other before getting in a relationship. Also enjoyed that there was no drama throughout their entire relationship
Kickin' It will always hold a special place in my heart because my brother and I begged our mom to let us take karate classes since we loved this show that much, but there weren't any near us so she put us in taekwondo. Because of this show, i've found my passion in life, gone to win at multiple competitions, and now 13 years later I teach children taekwondo at the same dojang I was once a student at!
I'm spamming with comments but this is such a treat. Kickin it doesn't have a big fandom anymore, so to see a two hour video about it is honestly incredible. With other shows that aired around that time, it's easy for it to slip between the cracks
FINALLLYYYYYY JACK AND KIM ARE STILL ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHIPS TO THIS DAY. when i tell u that no other disney couple compares to them like they are so special & truly one of a kind
Jack & Kim are my fav Disney Channel/Disney XD Ships they are so underrated and even seeing them years later they are so much mature and serious even though they are kids about their relationship. One of my fav vids I loved it so much I even remember buying kickin it eps on my iPod when I was younger to watch keep up with them. Again such a great video❤😊
I loved this show as a kid and rewatched it a few years ago solely for jack+kim, and even though I love them, I kept on watching it because this is a genuinely FUNNY and ORIGINAL show, and I was greatly surprised by that. The kick ship is an amazing element but even otherwise I can confidently say it's one of the best disney shows ever made
1:24:43 I can't be the only one who lost it when they used "European" as code for being gay lmao. The most they could get away with for Disney at the time.
i don’t know why but i find your voice soo comforting. i have never seen kickin it nor do i have any idea who these characters are but your content is still super fun to watch
never watched a single episode of kickin' it, only a bunch of yt videos about it lol. but genuinely what i've seen of the show and especially jack and kim makes me wanna binge the whole thing someday! also... 1:24 fiancé 👀 that's news to me, congratulations!
I kinda wished they had a reunion for this show, i know it doesnt have a huge fandom (especially with its disney xd "all boys" marketing) but i really wanna know how the actors think their characters are up to today😭
One of my favoriteeeee disney couples i feel like i have such a deep relationship with this couple purely based off the fact that i literally used to read their fanfiction when it was written on TH-cam so i literally love them and i'm so glad you did this video !!!
Truly one of the most underrated Disney ships. I was obsessed with them. When they reunited to play a couple for one of Olivia’s music videos, I flipped out.
this video just made me realize how much of this show I've watched . i didn't even have sky tv except for at my nanas and grandad's, so i guess i mustve spent a lot more time watching tv there than i remember
I never watched kickin it because disney xd was a premium channel we couldn’t afford but everyone talks about this ship so I’ve always been curious about it so I’m very excited to watch this and finally be in the know
I knew that jack and Kim were the main ship in the show, I haven't watched the show from start to finish, but I've seen some cute edits of them. It would be a fun video to celebrate your engagement maybe even by making a video on ranking best proposals and/or worst proposals in tv & movies
austin and ally are also part of the healthiest couples despite some drama and breakups overall it was for logical and sometimes mature reasons ( I know This video about them is already done) And of course i love them Thanks for the vid
I just watched Kickin It and completely agree. Jack and Kim were the highlight of the show, especially because some of the jokes were cringey and the show got more boring when she left for I Didn’t Do It
I remember loving them so much as a kid. After rewatching the show I can definitely respect them for going the slow burn route, and although I’m not as crazy for them as back then, I can still respect it. and I also loved the dynamic between all of the characters. Jerry was my favorite character when I rewatched it
abandoning the main ship of a series in the last season because a main character left the show… gee what show have I seen fall victim to that before… **cough** that 70’s show
I love kickin' it. I love how Caitlin cover the og disney and I been a fan for a long time. Jack and kim are so cute and love that this is a Martial art theme show. I love when disney had original ideas. I hope one day disney look back on shows like kickin' it or pair of kings and realizes they were unique and funny and clever. I want the heart to come back someday.
i have been WAITING for this to he discussed on this channel, one of the only disney related channels i watch and i knew it’d actually be in depth. love kickin it just wish it didn’t have a poor 4th season
man I used to love this show, even though I could not have cared lass about the karate I still catch myself saying "aw christmas nuts" and "what it do, girl" at less than appropriate moments
i also loved how subtle their chemistry was at first. there were ship tease moments, like jack teasing kim about having a crush in the pilot, or people sometimes mistaking them for a couple, but they weren't constantly talking about their feelings or being super awkward around each other. they were normal friends and it just became more and more obvious that they liked each other. i remember that one moment in the "kickin it on our own" episode where the guys ask jack "how's it going with kim", as if jack told them he likes her or they just knew without jack having to tell them.
54:10 When I was a kid that was actually how I thought all kisses in movies were made. It made a lot more sense to me that it would be special effects rather than actual kissing people.
I remember back then the Austin and Ally and Kickin it fandom clashed a bit because both series came out around the same time, both had blonde and brunette friends to lovers slow burn ships and there was a debate about which was better. Looking back, I think Austin and Ally had a deeper and better concept, but Jack and Kim's story was better executed
I think one of the biggest shockers about this show is finding out that the order they filmed the episodes (and hypothetically the order the go plot wise) is not the same as the order that they aired in
I was originally interested in this show for the martial arts aspect. But overtime, I started liking it more for this ship and the cast overall. Jack is my favorite character, and the development with his relationship with Kim was nice to watch. They were refreshing for me since I feel like Disney ships (most of them, that is) kind of feel the repetitive in a way and there is some toxicity that doesn't sit well. So, this pair was good and fun to see.
One of my favorite things about this ship is how non-disney the actor who played Jack was. I Know this was on XD, and that was the "cool disney", it was not normal disney channel, but still, i appreciate it. Olivia Holt was lucky lol

Awesome!

Jack thinking about Kim while he's at camp feels so Percabeth coded for some reason which is so cute!

Yass my PJO people 😭🩵 We are everywhere!

Even more impressive that the show is from a doomed channel that tried so hard to appeal to boys.
@@AJ-xc4qe yess so weird it made my little brother refuse to watch 'girlie' disney, only disney xd. but I didn't mind because this couple was so cute

Even as a friend, that was a nice gesture.

@@parisandkenleytv123 Thank you so much, I'm checking it out
As it was my first disney channel ship, you can imagine how high the bar was for the rest of them
I have spent an unhealthy amount of time thinking about these two. Is this the best friends-to-lovers story ever?
YEA YEA YEA!! Kim and Jack are so dang healthy! And the show itself? Criminally underrated
Absolutely

I didn’t season 4 was so bad. Plus she makes a few guest appearances and we got a second Kick kiss
