Your game looks cool! The style reminded me "ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron" in addition to Aladin and Worm Jim. Good luck with development and release!
As someone who uses Construct 3 this is such an inspiration. I've been working on getting to know the engine better and was starting to wonder if going forward I would have to migrate to the more traditional engines like Unity or Unreal which is daunting cus coding is not where I want to focus my efforts. But these games are not held back by construct in any way, in fact, I was suprised at the last game on the list as I was playing it on Xbox last night and had no idea it was made in Contruct. Definitely going to stick with Construct for the foreseeable, I love that I can focus on design and spend less time just trying to make things work
Thanks for your comment! We're happy you're going to continue using Construct going forwards :) Comments like this mean a lot to us as a small company!
@@tomgullen3899 sometimes I wonder if you guys, potentially in the future, would offer porting services like chowdren does, c3 would be the absolute winner : ( Porting issues is the only thing more serious devs are not sticking with c3 :(
I had so much fun using construct 3. I used it for my coding class and it’s so easy to use. However after my access code expired I was unable to publish my game. Though one day I might go back to construct 3 to make a bigger and more unique game than I anticipated. I totally recommend construct 3
Well, as for big (released) games made on Construct, "Iconoclasts" could be mentioned, in my opinion, so far it is one of the most remarkable games made on this engine and by only one person.
I'm thinking of making a game in Construct and wanted to see some big titles to see how far the engine can be pushed. I think I have to try some of these games 😁
I tried the tutorial for Construct 3, and it helped a lot with the basics. I’m not that code savvy, so this program seems like a nice way of creating concepts. And, some fairly complex ones too.
If you think these games are good you need to check out the solo developer behind break city entertainment. The trailer to his upcoming game looks amazing and a cut above everything else out there at the moment.
It's hard to become a solo indie game dev when every time you see some solo indie game dev's games you realize these guys are REALLY skilled with graphics. And I mean really skilled ;-) Guess the lesson in this is the most valued skill is making graphics.

I know that most people think that RobloxStudio is for Kids, But honestly , Im a Professionnal Game Dev and I started looking into it and I think that You should Cover that Engine Aswell
Roblox is good for “Professional” game developers to perhaps teach the very basics of game development to kids or curious folk. Maybe it’s helps if you are learning. It’s not a serious tool. All in my opinion. If you already have experience in legitimate tool, and language you probably shouldn’t downgrade to roblox. Yes I know the stories of people selling roblox skins etc, I’m just thinking career wise roblox on the resume won’t have much of an impact. Unless you are teaching at one of those coding camps.. My opinion of course.
@@JermaineMorgan I'm already having a professional job at a AAA studio, and what I love is making Online Multiplayer Game. Roblox Studio Have everything ready for that and its very easy to use. ITs not only for beginner. Its like how people was seeing Unity at first .. .
Hey Poinball, thanks for the suggestion! We covered Roblox in a previous video here: th-cam.com/video/onvs1ib98Rs/w-d-xo.html. A future standalone video on Roblox is a great idea.
Thank you for this! I'm glad to have stumbled upon it. I have a vision brewing for a game and was thinking of Unity, but with the recent news over there, Construct is sounding mighty appealing! Perhaps I'll have to settle for 2D instead of full 3D, for now, but that's not a big deal.
Hey, love your content. Can you please make a video about you as a ragdoll beeing able to grab, punch and jump… There are no other videos like that out there.
I imagine you'd get that question a lot but, in your opinion, what engine would you recommend for someone with zero coding experience but really wants to go into game development? Great video by the way.
Hi Jasper - thanks for the suggestion. We'd like to make a video on Clickteam Fusion in the future. What are some of your favourite games made with the engine?
It is free to publish.. It's free to learn with under 50 events per project. And that's plenty for learning, but yeah when you want to actually build a good game, you'd need to pay 16 bucks a month. It's cheap for what you get tbh, it's an amazing software being updated every day with a forum of great folk
Most of these games are not even complete yet... especially the more graphically intense ones. Until then it's just smoke and mirrors to see if devs can actually release big game with a engine that relies completely at the mercy of javascript and the browser. Maybe 2021 will be the year?? I won't be surprised if most of these devs change development platforms once they start running into severe limitations for a "large scale" game. Object count and memory cache issues, mainly. A more appropriate title for this video would of been, "Games unreleased and untested in Construct 3" that look really pretty on paper. Sorry. I've seen so many devs jump boat after they waste years on this engine. I have YET to say a big game that is well polished and not riddled with bugs or didn't run like garbage primary targeted at gaming consoles(Xbox), have input lag issues, ect. It'll probably take 5 minutes until Construct team has them delete this comment, because they don't like anyone finding out about this little secret until they've gave them their time and money. If you make flappy bird, you should be fine though. Or prototypes. Or hobby games. Or simple small browser games. Those are all great. I can't trust alot of these graphically impressive titles to run completely like they are shown in their promotional videos until I actually can BUY/PLAY THEM. I've seen way too many devs jump ship to other engines during the dev process because they tried to make something bigger than flappy bird or pacman and ran into all kinds of issues. I guess the future will tell, but for right now after what I witnessed from real world experience, I haven't been proven wrong unless I'm trying to design a game that is tiny. For that, it is wonderful and I am content at just watching a handshake behind the scenes and a pat on each others (company) back for a quick money grab or marketing rehash, trying to make people believe they can become the next Notch or Toby Fox. 🤣. Hopefully 2021 will be the year I'm proved wrong and the technology really is there, but for now it just seems like being sold more pipe dreams and, at the end of the day, valuable time wasted until it can compete with other options that are a much wiser choice if you want to take your game design more serious and focus on bigger more complex 2D games. Th also gave their original supporters the impression that they didn't matter anymore unless they wanted to purchase Construct 3 after buying Construct 2....the way they ran their business and mislead quite a few devs/artist/customers left a lot of them with a bad taste in their mouth. Artist stuck with a dying engine that stops updates in July and are literally pushed into buying version 3 and forced running the platform in their browser. I understand they are a small team who need support, but they seem to disregard a lot of us original Construct 2 supporters who can't see past a browser based engine with their overly expensive business model when there are far more better options that allow you to develop full scale games and are pretty much free.
