Wow, I don't know why this was randomly recommended to me, but I'm glad it was! This is really, really impressive. You really have a knack for visual effects, in particular "compositing" (cutting out and laying different elements on top of each other in the frame, like explosions and bits of debris flying off the ship, or putting the ship against the space background). I also loved the glowing red light from Dooku's lightsaber and the flashes in the hallway from blaster fire; really helped to sell that effect. My favorite part of this might be that final shot. Do my eyes deceive me or did you employ the same ingenious technique as the crew did for the original trilogy space battles, where the ship is stationary and you move the camera around the ship, then composite that footage against a static space background to make it look like the ship is moving? Seriously clever work here. If I could give one note of constructive criticism, it'd be to take a little bit more care in mixing sound, as currently the dialogue is getting a bit drowned out in the rest of music and sound effects. Overall though this is really great stuff; more promising than any LEGO stop motion work I did back in the day. You should be really proud of this.
@@PsychedelicPenne wow, yes that's so cool to receive such a painstaking comment, yes I tried a bit more compositing, I recorded individual Lego parts falling apart and then placed them over the explosion, as you said . You're also right about the last shot, the ship stood still and I moved the camera around, I really enjoy trying out film techniques like this, maybe in real life at some point, thanks for your comment, have a nice day. :)
The explosion effects are amazing🔥
This is great, very underrated +1 sub keep it up!
@@hellodereproductions1797 thanks!
