It really makes you feel good when you can make something from a household item and not go out and make a s[ecial purchase for a couple of cards. You will want to come back to this technique many times after you firat try. The results are outstanding and they are never the same. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต

If you really cared about how she was doing, you would look at her channel. She's clearly alive and well.
If you look at her channel you can see recent videos, so she is doing good it seems :)
Good health? lol Never!
Yeah, good health...

I never had a grandma growing up, watching and listening to you makes me wonder how much I missed not having such an influence in my life, calm and patient. Nice cards!
I didn't have grandparents either, but my mom was the best to my kids, she even taught my son to drive.
Your comment brought up a couple of wet eyes. I don’t remember either of my grandmothers. I don’t have the relation with my grandchildren and great grands that I would like. The ones who show their love are in other states.
I hope you found something on my channel that you like and can use
Me neither, no Grampas either
You should adopt an older person in your neighborhood who may live alone or might be in an assisted living facility. I’m sure they’d love to have a regular visitor they can count on. Take your kids or grandkids and you could be giving that person one of the best gifts they ever received in their life. Love!
DON'T WE ALL!!!!
I think this channel must come up when you really feel like you need a grandma. I really need this. thankyou
What a sweet comment. 💯 agree.❤️
Me too ❤
My grandma passed the week before Christmas last year, we just had her memorial today, when I found this video, crazy 😢 I miss her
@@GinaU832 No its not. Its ageist. Your grandmas nowadays are 19
Glad it did
That Jar is from 1967 for those curious.
I indeed was very curious thank you
lasted longer than the chernobyl power plant
It's funny thinking that when I was born in 1985, it was already considered an old jar! At the top it says it was $0.89, or about $8.50 in today's money. It's gotten a lot more expensive these days!
@@GregoryRCosta It's gotten a lot more cheaper actually. Aint no bottle of vaseline 8$ today when you can get a 13oz jar for $2.36
I miss the smell of vasoline from the 60’s
This is the sweetest thing TH-cam has ever recommended to me.
I know! I was like this is so sweet🥰
Same here! I love this so much
I just had her pop up as well. I have subscribed. I bet we would be lucky and blessed to know 1/2 of what she has forgotten over the years not to mention all she has learned and knows how to do even better than the way she was taught. With Age comes GREAT WISDOM❤❤

My mom passed this past December. She was into art. She was 85.
I know this video is 1 year old, so I hope you have healed and are doing well. ❤️ This video popped up and I just subscribed.
Thank you for reposting this, in that I may have never seen her video. Her technique is interesting. I don't do cards, but mixed media sometimes, dabble in crafting projects when necessary 😄, and mainly canvas painting now. 🎨My true love is Decorative Arts, but not much happening in that here in NC in the past few years. Thanks again for sharing 👍
Does she sell these?
I love this technique and thank you so much sharing!
Donna, are you asking about selling the Christmas cards or something else?
I hope you are keeping well, your cards are beautiful. Thank you for posting this because you never know when techniques like this will come in handy. I do miniatures and am already thinking I could use this. I liked and subscribed ❤

I loved that ❤ Vaseline jar from 1967 and an Apple box.
Imagine all the years since you purchase that Vaseline. Never would have imagined you’d be using it for arts and crafts while people watched from all over the world :) Lovely video. Thanks for sharing!!
My son was watching this with me and said I wish my grandmother made me one. It breaks my heart because my mom has never been kind to me either. I will make my son one of these ❤ thank you for sharing
That is so thoughtful and lovely!! I am sure your son will treasure it always! I know I still have little cards/notes my mom would leave me before going to work in the morning, and looking through them makes me feel so loved!
How beautiful. It's an old post but I hv prayed for you. Do take care of yourself. Try to eat healthy, get some exercise if you can. I hope you will love and nurture yourself. Like puting some nice cream on your hands and arms. You deserve the very best. I'm glad you know God.

That old jar of Vaseline caught my eye, as I remember having the same exact jars in my house growing up 😃 I’m a crafter too, and I really like this technique. I’m going to give it a try. Thank you for taking the time to show everyone this! Hope you’re healthy and well.
I had to google it. The one I found was for $0.98 and was from 1968!

I wasn't sure what the Vaseline would do and I am amazed! Especially love that dragonfly print. Looks soooo professional! Thank you for sharing this!
You can get a similar effect when using a white crayon, wax does the same effect :) it just prevents the colour from adhering to the card

@@cheerfulgreetings5535I was going to comment but read the comment that @makeit2649 wrote, almost verbatim what I was going to say! Weird! Well great minds think alike! So that should show you that you are truly doing great things that have positive impacts on people. If two complete strangers have the exact same experiences. It shows what we say must be true. Even having a positive impact on just one person will bring their energy vibration high, (which is fastest achieved when we feel loved and appreciated) their energy will bring others around them to higher positive vibrations, "In the vortex" Abraham teaches. You have impacted more than one person. It might take some time so don't despair. KEEP GOING! ❤ p.s. Your cards are amazing! So beautiful, they blow store bought cards out of the water! I hope you are selling these 🥰

Oh my goodness! 89 cents for Vaseline! The last jar I saw like that was at a Ben Franklin Five and Dime with Mama!
Your cards are so elegant and simply stunning! I thank you for generously sharing your expertise and this beautiful technique! Truly an oldie but a goodie!
I hope and pray you are fully recovered and living your best life making exquisite cards! 😊
I just lost my mom in December a day after Christmas, I've been having a really hard time. She was 60 and I'll never get the chance to see her grow older. I didn't realize how much I needed to see this sweet video of you just talking and making cards. 😢
I’m so very sorry for your loss 😢

My living grandparents are all toxic, dangerous, and manipulative people. The only good grandparent I ever got was my grandpa, who passed in 2020. This video is very comforting for me, I always wished I had one of those cozy and kind grandmothers that would teach you how to do arts and crafts and bake cookies for you every time you visited. Thanks for teaching us this neat technique, hope you’re doing well ❤
I have never seen this technique before. I love way the dragon fly paper turned out - that’s my fav - but the flowers are pretty. TFS! 🇨🇦❤️
That Vaseline jar took me right back to my childhood--I can't believe you still have it! I absolutely love these cards. They are so much prettier and more creative than other card making videos I've seen. Thank you for your great tutorial and the calm, sweet way you explain things. Happily subscribed!
The jar is what made me click on the video. I remember it from my childhood too. She called it antique.. man we're old! 😭😄
The old vintage har is so pretty, an art piece too.
You sound exactly like my Great Grandma did. Her father was from Yorkshire and she was raised in Kentucky. Your voice and the accent is spot on to how she sounded. She passed in 1997. You helped bring me back down memory lane ❤ I subscribed

This came out so beautiful! I teach art at a elementary and middle school. I think students would have so much fun with this.. Just gotta find a lot of box tops for the ink! Thanks for showing us!!
I'm not sure where you're located but there's a lot of art teachers who attend the TAEA conference in Texas or the NAEA conference where you can come and teach art teachers one of your lessons for students! I think other art teachers would love it learn!
I have loads of techniques that that age would/might like. I hope to upload one of these today or tomorrow. If you pm me, i will give you my phone number and I can give you a preview of techs I am going to
Do.
I don't know how it is in the US but in Australia if you buy something more often hardware stores will have a ton of cardboard boxes of all sizes behind the registers like in the path where you leave. And you can grab as many as you can carry to put all your hardware bits in. Aldi is much the same. You find one of their opened top boxes carrying a few items, canned food is always in short open topped boxes only a few inches tall, and you throw the cans on the shelf and use that shallow box instead of your carry bag/tote and the cashiers are used to it.
Why not ask the kids to bring in an old box top? When everyone has got one (maybe some could bring in a couple and share) then have the class.
Miss Vicky, 2 month no crafting. OMG you did it - good to have you back. TY for this wonderful trick. Greetings from Calgary 🙋♀
Not sure why your video showed up in my feed, because I've been watching lots of non-art and non-craft videos, but i sure do love listening to you. I love these! With cards costing $4.00 or more, your tutorial is very timely. Thank you for sharing your craft.
What a wonderful treat from TH-cam. I'm 64 yrs old and I remember my own mother making holiday cards. Although my mother's cards were beautiful, I think these are extraordinary. Mom would have loved seeing this video and no doubt she would have taken the time to learn this technique. Sooo unique and beautiful.
Nothing feels more special than receiving a handmade card with a handwritten message!
You can also stamp with Vaseline, spray alcohol all over the paper, then add the alcohol ink if you want lighter colors. With the paper being wet first your alcohol ink will really spread fast. I love the second paper. Gorgeous 😍
No
That’s what I was coming to say, it would stop there being dark spots where the ink first lands.
When the inks are dry do you wipe the vaseline off?
@sarahhutchins yes.
@cheerfulgreetings5535 thank you!
The Purple/Blue dragonfly card was just beautiful. You would pay a lot for that in a card shop but you make it seem so easy to do yourself. I might have to give it a try because at the very least it looks like a very relaxing hobby.

You are so talented! I had no idea what the Vaseline stamped on paper was going to do, so I was amazed at the result. ❤
Just to let you know, Vaseline can last up to 10 years in the jar. But, do not use your fingers or that will put bacteria that can be very dangerous in the jar. Use a clean spoon or a clean Q-tip. I just googled all of this from the Internet. 😊❤

This is so beautiful, I am thrilled youtube decided to put your video/channel on my feed! Since I was a little girl, my grandmother and I have been creating projects together. You’re in Maine! Me too… I’m just learning to watercolor and draw and whatnot. It’s fun, I love looking at art, but making it is another adventure entirely. This is the first video of yours I am seeing, but I peaked and see you made one three days ago and I am glad you are still here.
I noticed right away you Vaseline jar is vintage. What a cute design. I’m excited to try this technique. And share it with my friend who I hope takes up painting. I’m giving her some of my paints because I have more than enough. She draws better than I do, but only uses markers to color her work, and not very creatively I must say, but after discussing her journey I think she just didn’t know she’s not too old to develop new skills.
