😬TN is a little low, I’m an RN in Hou at an aesthetics clinic and we make $40/hr. But we also don’t get commission or have to build clientele. Patients get whatever nurse is on the schedule for the day. You can request to have the same nurse and they’ll do their best but we don’t guarantee it. Our insurance is about $275 per check and we get about 4 hrs pto each check as well. We work 4 or 5 days per week. I love what I do and it’s always nice to hear from other aesthetic nurses, we don’t get talked about too often!

For those wondering/commenting on Tennessee pay...New grad nurse pay in middle TN for floor nursing as of May 2019 is as follows: Vanderbilt $22 Tennova $24 HCA I think was also $24ish and I think St Thomas was similar to $24ish as well. This does not count shift diffs. If I remember correctly vandy had better shift diffs so it all kind of leveled out. You can make more if you are, as she was saying, float pool, prn, or critical care nursing. By more I mean anywhere from $2- $7 more per hour. Of course this is the major hospitals in middle Tennessee and could be why the pay is so much different than hers.

I live on Long Island in New York and I’m still in high school so i don’t know too much about the pay here. But I believe that the pay in the city is higher than on Long Island and I wonder how much of a difference the pay is. I have a job right now and I make just above minimum wage here and I take home s little under what u made as an ER nurse. That’s crazy how low the pay is in Tennessee.

MatthewDailyTV oh living in New York the pay is going to be way higher, but the cost of living is also much higher, keep that in mind. But it is crazy how low RNs are paid here... we are working with legislation to make it better!

Do you think it’s worth paying 2500-3000 for 1 day classes for dermal fillers to get into this field? Most don’t come with credentials such as cme credits

Do you think it’s a good idea to give away fillers to pretty people & get pictures and reviews , to build your book and brand?

I think you have to be careful about "giving" things away- I would recommend working with your brand rep (Allergan, galderma, etc) to get some good rebates. A good why I found to grow your following is offer patient's a small discount to post that they are seeing you/engaging in social media!
