    Thanks so much! Excellent tips. I am having some trouble selecting a red circle on a screen grab and selecting them simultaneously to group them. Basically I want to pin the red circle to the screen shot so that if if resize the screen shot, the circle goes with it proportionately exactly where I placed it. Any advice on selecting both a shape and a pic?

    • @SharonSmith
      @SharonSmith  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Anna - sometimes you have to change the "wrap text" of an object or image so you can select both to group them. Make sure that the Wrap Text option for each object is NOT "In line with Text" as that will prevent you from being able to select both. Then try holding Ctrl while selecting both objects and then you should be able to Group them. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

    How do you save the word document so that all the text boxes and arrows are locked? (sort of like a .pdf)

    • @SharonSmith
      @SharonSmith  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Kris! Thanks for your kind words, I'm very glad you found this video helpful! You can lock the document down by going to the "Developer" tab, and under the Protect section, click "Restrict Editing" and a pane appears on the right. Under number 2. Editing Restrictions, check the box and select "No Changes (read only)" from the drop down. Then click "Yes, Start Enforcing Protection" it will ask you to set a password, which you may want to do but just don't forget your password because you won't be able to retrieve it if you forget what it is. Once you do that, then users opening the document will only be able to read it, they won't be able to edit or change anything. Then if you ever need to edit it again, simply go back to the "Restrict Editing" area and click "Stop Protection" and it will unlock so you can edit if needed. Hope this helps! Thanks again for watching my videos. Take care!

    Hi Sharon, very helpful! I was wondering what software you used to snip your video while you were showing the user what to do?

    • @SharonSmith
      @SharonSmith  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nisha! Glad you found this video helpful. I used Microsoft Snipping Tool for screen grabs (If you have a Windows PC, you can type "Snipping Tool" in the search and it should come up and you can pin it to your toolbar or save a shortcut. Not sure if that is what you were asking about? I also use Camtasia to edit my videos. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks so much for watching and taking time to leave a comment! Take care!

    Could you explain why you started with a table?

    • @SharonSmith
      @SharonSmith  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! I used a two column table so that I could design the guide with a variety of spacing options. With tables, you can merge columns or add columns if needed and in the end, you can hide the border lines if desired. You don't have to use a table, you can design from scratch if desired. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
