A quick update on my progress and a note of necessary tweaks to the technique I found necessary. First, to save the doc as a word template I had to use your later tutorial to correspond with the current version of word ( so thanks for that too!) , and secondly I found that grouping pictures used Control + whilst grouping text boxes (shapes) required Shift+ So once I'd grouped all the pictures in one group and grouped all the text boxes in another group, I could Control + to group the two groups as ne group of all the elements in the document. Thanks once again for helping along the learning curve ! 😊
Thank you for a very helpful tutorial which has refreshed my self-taught knowledge (skills?) to the extent that I can get on more positively amending my tri fold brochures and create some inserts to Christmas cards. I will definitely subscribe as I'm so pleased I've found someone who knows what they are talking about and can get it across in such an informative, logical and pleasant way......Thank you Lisa.

how did you get the bar thing with the numbers on the top?
Go to view and click ruler, if you have the layout open it covers it so click on the layout button to close it and you'll see it. Hope this helps.
