@@bosonbreeder To me, the version in the link is like a beautiful painting someone has buried in manure - mostly it stinks, but you can discern tiny glimpses of the buried beauty. Linus' version is so clear it lets the melody sing for itself...
@@fredjones100 Well, this version is from the late 60's and by famous Swedish jazz pianist Jan Johansson, who jazzed it up a bit in the beginning for fun. Just fast forward to the second half for a more traditional touch. The traditional, original song was written in 1822 and the melody is normally carried by a singer. A tribute to the beauty of the Swedish Värmland region in the middle of Sweden.
@@fredjones100 I don't agree, but the comparison was funny. Anyway, the song has been recorded by other jazz musicians too, including Stan Getz, Miles Davis, Paul Chambers and John Coltrane (there is some information about the song on Wikipedia, its English name is for some weird reason Dear Old Stockholm).
I've been following you since the very first chipophone video, and I absolutely adore the instruments you make, and the crazy tunes you play with them. It's so fun to see you keep finding new uses for old commodores!
Great to see you working on the instrument to keep it playable! But does it mean it no longer has the chords and rhythm box functionalities of the left hand side?
"Cause Commodore is keeping up with you!" - Excellent tune!
This song played at the beginning is so marvelous 😍
This version is a true Sweisdh classic: th-cam.com/video/6KjdPVze7jE/w-d-xo.html

I’ve followed your channel for over 10 years. It’s always great to see new vids from you
A genuine hero, as always ✊
Great upgrade! This revision looks indeed much more ergonomic. Jazz listeners might know this tune as “Dear Old Stockholm”
I'll be happy to see this instrument showing up again, one of my personal favorites among your creations!
Ack Värmeland, du sköna always brings a tear to the eye, and doubly so when rendered on a Commodordion.
Snyggt jobbat 👍
still one of the coolest youtube channels
Well done, and great version of the song!
Det här är så jävla mäktigt!
Så enormt bra. Du är helt enastående grym.
I love your way of thinking. This is beautiful 🙂

Wow! I’m from Holland but know the song from In Flames. Very cool to hear it played on a C64 🥰
This is fantastic! You are a great inspiration to me.
Strålande!
Polihisztor! 🤩
Vacker tolkning!
I'm always keeping up with Commodore :)
Impressive as always, vackert!
Excellent.
Incredible
I need this on Spotify
If making it more of an Indian harmonium and less like an accordeon makes it more ergonomic, I'm all for it!

When are we gonna see a band assembled with all these crazy instruments?
Nice performance my man. It gives me the creeps though... as if Jason is going to strike at any minute now.
Soo, will you play at Urkult next year?
Fun fact: the first few notes with the same rythm and intonation are the start of the Romanian anthem.
Top changing 🫠

1:58 😬 Cool multi coloured z axis double sine Patreons scroller.
😢😍
Bravo!
Now get a c64mini and do a sopranino commodordion! 😉
I still wonder about bass
I am perpetually wondering about bass
I once caught one.
Invite Jeri Elsworth to accompany with her sid bass 😎
@@CBM64that C64 bass got stolen after she showed it off for that video.
@@Stjaernljus whaaat, noo! linus needs to lock in his SIDstruments 🙀
FFIX intro type sound
NO! Iftkryo must suffer for his art! (joking)
Too bad "Weird Al" hasn't seen this. He'd be amazed! Maybe he has.
